residence he lives by himself (well, with his buizel) in a tiny tiny little house. he spends most of his time outside, however.
APPEARANCE
eyes a dark, dark brown - basically black.
hair its color is a seashell pink - it's kind of distracting. he washes it daily due to the long periods of time he spends in the ocean so it's managed to maintain a soft, thick quality. it seems to have a mind of its own and sticks up in various directions with two thick segments of hair often kept loose from his ponytail on either side of his face. he doesn't let his hair down often mostly because
it cannot be tamed. it's still pretty fun to play with, though.
skin he's naturally tan but his skin tone has gotten slightly darker due to all the time spent out in the sun. it's unblemished for the most part with the exception of a few scars from some unfortunate surfing mishaps.
physique toned but slender with defined calves and abs. gotta keep up that figure if you don't want to fall off your board. stands at around 6'2".
attire very casual, loose clothing - more often than not he just wears swimwear but on more formal occasions he'll slip on a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. his color scheme mainly consists of blues, pale browns, and, of course, pinks.
ex pression he's always smiling and seems almost incapable of expressing anything else besides a serene happiness. it's nice.
habits when he speaks, he tends to use extravagant hand motions and when he's excited he talks a bit too quickly for others to fully understand. he hums and whistles often and plays with his necklace when he feels anxious, a nervous habit that betrays his otherwise perpetually jubilant exterior.
accessories he often wears a pair of goggles on his head even when he isn't out in the water. due to his farsightedness, he needs glasses in order to read things up close. he also wears a necklace with a golden lightning bolt-shaped pendant on it, though nobody understands the significance of it.

distinguishing features dat hair. it's hard to forget. he's also hilariously bad at basically every academic subject except math - he's surprisingly talented when it comes to mathematics as it generally requires straightforward thinking, something that comes naturally to him, but he's absolutely horrid with everything else, especially reading and spelling. he dropped out of school in his early years in favor of pursuing his hobby of surfing so he's missed many of the basic elements.
PERSONALITY
West is renowned for being extraordinarily
energetic and
optimistic. He's very
talkative and has a seemingly limitless amount of energy that never seems to drain even in the slightest. He meets every situation with a startling amount of positivity, regardless of how bleak the outcome may be, and seems to literally radiate copious and almost inhuman amounts of contagious enthusiasm, a powerful optimism that shines through even the grimmest atmospheres. It's pretty hard to feel down when you're around West – his perpetual good cheer is difficult to ignore.
He's laid-back in a manner where nothing ever seems to bother him – he's rarely embarrassed and never gets frustrated with making an error and he takes insults very, very lightly, viewing them more as jokes rather than something legitimately offensive. Negative events scarcely faze him and he always looks on the bright side and make the best out of any situation. He also goes to great lengths to ensure the happiness of others and to keep spirits high; he's honestly pretty awful at dealing with very emotional things seriously seeing as he's never taken the time to understand his own feelings. He tends to just ignore any negative thoughts that come his way and just push them into the back of his mind in favor of maintaining his positive persona, though there's no telling when they might unearth themselves again.
West is patient and accepting of others, traits that may come as a surprise to others, and he actually isn't very egotistical – he doesn't brag about his achievements or what he's capable of. He dislikes being the center of attention and prefers to focus the spotlight elsewhere, leaving many heroic and just generally benevolent accomplishments unaccounted for in his favor. He likes helping people, but the idea of being revered is something that makes him feel uncomfortable.
He tends to be very impulsive and makes decisions on the spot without completely thinking it through. He doesn't really mean to be so careless – it's just in his nature to be, well, spontaneous. He's not necessarily impatient, he just dislikes waiting around when something useful could be achieved, especially when it comes to the wellbeing of others. He tends to become so caught up in maintaining and confirming the safety and contentment of others that he often forgets about his own, leaving him completely drained. He pushes onwards nonetheless regardless of his physical or emotional conditions and, because of this, he's viewed as being very stubborn. He refuses to back down until whatever task he intended on finishing has been completed – he doesn't forget things easily and never breaks a promise.
