Hi everyone and welcome to (witty title goes here)

My names Tango (picture of you as whatever you want to be) and my name is Aly (picture of me)

Then we can have a little bio on us and how we got into applying next to our pictures. We have to make sure we are creditable and our success and failure stories show we know what you are talking about.

Disclaimer statement (much like I was not forced to make this app)

This guide will not guarantee you a pet. It is also important to note that there are many ways to apply for a pet and you will have to practice to find what sort of application style suits you best. The end game is not getting the pet it is having fun!

Now, before we dive into this there are a few words and abbreviations you need to know.

UFA- Up For Adoption
UFQA- Up For Quick Adoption
UFT- Up For Trade (can't apply for this pet sorry)

Next come the key players in this wild and crazy game of applying.

Foster- Person who is adopting out their pet
Applicant- People who are applying for fosters pet
Application - What the applicant turns in to the foster (also called the App)
Deadline- When the application is due (Don't miss it!)

Lastly, there are the forms of applications you can submit to get the fosters pet: Pet Page, Neomail, and Board Apps. We will go into more detail on all of these later but for now this is just a quick summary on what you need to know.

For now lets talk about the first one since many of you are mainly here for it. The glorious, stressful, time consuming, heart breaking, exciting, dream pet producing Pet Page App. There are three key things you must understand about this app process.

One; How to code a layout (or make one)

Two; Make an original/ creative character *meaning, if you are applying for a grey pet don't make him some sad droopy thing unless he got their in a really neat way*

Three; Personality!

The Layout

The layout is the first thing the foster sees so you want it to scream the pets personality. Let me put it this way, if you are applying for an UC faerie xweetok and you have him sitting on a rock all sad well we know his character is going through some hard times. Another thing to remember is there are many different ways to set up your layout. ( we can link to some of out pet page with screen shots)

Aly: I like to do big images with scrolling text, this way I can show off my art and tell a story at the same time. *Make sure to have your character looking at the text box, this way everything is pointing towards the important information you want the foster to read.^^

Tango: (Talk about your favorite layout)

The Character/ Design

When you look at that pet what do you see? A prince, pirate, a lawyer, a business man, maybe an evil sorcerer? Whatever you see that is the character for your pet. Now with that character you need to answer a few questions.

Who- Who are they?
What- What do they do and like or dislike?
Where- Where to they live?
Why- Why do they have this kind of personality?
When- If something happened to turn them into who they are talk about when that was.

After you have those answered you might be starting to come up with an idea for their design? Do you see then in a dress, a suit, maybe just a simple cloth skirt? Let you imagination run wild, the more crazy and different you get the more enticing your character is to the foster.
