Introduction

Welcome, guest. It's not often that I have a visitor to ~@~Paradise Clouds~@~, my home away from home. I come here quite often to study the movements in the atmosphere and to report down to Neopia what I've discovered. How did I get started on this whole 'weather nonsense'? I was quite content staying at home, spending my day doing nothing but idle... Suddenly, a ferocious wind whipped across Faerieland and WRECKED my home! I did not understand what happened! So I decided to study up to learn more about this 'weather nonsense' so that this tragedy would never happen again - at least not without sufficient warning!

Now, I'm not 'just' a Weatherjubjub; in fact, did you know that it was I who first spotted the warm and wet air hurtling north that would result in the horrible snowstorm on Terror Mountain?

Yup, that was me! I was also the one who noticed the low-pressure system and the lack of air movement that led to the magnificent hurricane in the Month of Swimming on Krawk Island.

Helping to advert planetary disasters is what I'm all about. I even received a medal for my valiant efforts!

Just saved you the Weather, Inc. fee! You can thank me later.

Number 8

As you can see, my babaa petpet is here also, but he does more than keep me company! Number 8 has an accredited bachelor's degree from the University of Neopia United.

(I have a PhD in the field of meteorology, as you can tell from the honorary Starry Cloak that I've donned.) Take a look at my impressive diploma:

If it wasn't for that proof, most people don't believe that I've earned such a prestigious degree! After all, I'm only 75071 old! And Number 8 isn't much younger! Well, the secret to our brilliance is ...

Study Up!

That's right! There is no other way to get this intelligent! Nothing but hard work and lots of late nights spent pouring over books and writing essays. Sometimes I dream of clouds floating by and rainbows appearing out of nowhere...of course, that's the best kind of dream in the world! But you just want a crash course in Meteorology, you say? Reading List

Well, if you've stuck with me this long, you're clearly a weather enthusiast! To further your study, here's a list of books that I highly recommend:

Of course, there are many other books you need to read before you can master the basics of meteorology, but these will give you a good head start. Meteorology 101 won't be too difficult after these books!

And no, there are no books on Meteorology yet, I'm currently trying to publish one. I guess you're just going to have to take my class!

Weather Folklore

Well, aren't you the lazy one? I'm telling you, the way to go is to read those books and attend my classes! But, if you really want some quick predictions, here's some classic Neopian weather folklore to aid you:

1) When Spyders weave their web by noon, fine weather is coming soon.
2) Lupes always howl more before a storm.
3) Unis run fast before a violent storm or before windy conditions.
4) Pteris chatter when it's going to rain.
5) If Buzzes build their nest high, the winter will be long and harsh.
6) When Eyries go crowing to bed, he will wake up with a watery head.
7) Before a storm, Kaus will lie down and refuse to go out to pasture.
8) It will be a cold, snowy winter if the hair on Unis is thick early in the season.
9) When Koi break water and bite eagerly, expect rain.
10) If Nimmos make a noise at the time of cold rain, warm dry weather will follow.

Well, there you have it - some quick and easy to remember phrases for predicting weather. Just make sure you're looking at the right pet before announcing to Neopia your conclusions!

Time Off!

Well, as you've probably guessed, professors don't make a lot of money and I have to fund my expeditions up to ~@~Paradise Clouds~@~ somehow. Occasionally, I moonlight and get jobs at:

It's not very prestigious, but it keeps my hobby alive and world warned of dangers to come! Here's a personal tip: If you have the neopoints, go for the ones that give the highest rewards. Usually, the cost of the items will be cheaper than you think and the bonus will be a lot higher! Of course, get a job that you can complete in the time allotted!

Oh, you meant what do I do for fun? Isn't meteorology fun enough for you?! Well, to tell the truth, when I do have some time off, I really enjoy relaxing on the farm. That's right, it's the country life for me. Nothing beats a home cooked meal made from home cooked vegetables!

In addition, I enjoy the musical arts. My favorite instrument is:

And nothing shows appreciation of music like going to concerts, especially to Jazzmosis concerts!

They are just so good!

Well, that's all I have for you today. Feel free to stick around, or, if you have to leave, visit my recommended sites listed below! Au revoir!
