How to Get 1000 Items

Participate in the current plot or activity!

Activities give you one or more "prizes" for each day of participation, can earn you NP and some will earn you trophies;
AA Challanges, Neopies and Altador Cup are examples.

Plots, which are more fun TNT, give you random stuff that you pick up as you participate, mental challanges and usually earn you nice prizes at the end and trophies!

So far the only plot that has been left open for anyone to do is the Dark Faerie/Altador Plot. Once completed you can get a free item every day from King Altador himself.
My favorite guide is Aardax's Darkest Faerie Plot Guide

Your neohome and gallery take all the unique items from those places and put them in your SDB.
Your SDB (Safety Deposit Box),go through everything and see what you have from the dailies.
Try going for the avatar after December (the Month of Celebrating) because the whole month of December you can get free stuff from the Advent Calender, at least 2 items everyday along with NP.
If a giant jelly actually exsisted, the free jellies or triffles would be TWO different items. You can have a whole and a 1/2 jelly/trifle. Save all your jelly, and if you need more check the shop wizard you can usually find whole ones cheap. With the number of jellies and triffles you could get from said ficticious jelly you have 74 items. If there was a Jelly Food Shop, you could buy rarer jellies.
Omelettes are free and every one of them can count as THREE items. You can have a full omelette, 2/3 Omelette and 1/3 Omelettes. Save all your omelettes, and if you need more check the shop wizard you can usually find whole ones cheap. With the number of possible omelettes you can get from the Giant omelette you can get 83 items
Fishing is free! You get a bunch of junk but all that junk adds up to 83 different items.
Visit the Rumbish Dump, again it's all junk but it can add up to 13 different items.You may have to refreash a few time to get an object to appear
Visit Coltzan's Shrine, not only can you get free stuff you can improve your neopet.
Visit The Neopets Fruit Machine, again free stuff and neopoints
Play Tombola, free stuff galore; food, codestones bottle faeries and NPS
Visit The Deserted Tomb, you can get some free stuff here and an avatar, but you take your chances
Visit The Snowager when he's asleep during the hours of 6-7am, 2-3pm and 10-11pm. You can get the avatar when they get blasted by the snowager, plus there's the free stuff you can get.
Visit The Turmaculus and try to wake him up, if you check the Game Boards for Turmaculus is Awake topics, usually someone will post it or try here;
Visit The Lunar Temple in Shenkuu, guess right get a good prize, once a day. Check out this petpage Nilakantha for an awesome guide.
Looks like the Meteor gives out random prizes, free stuff is always good! Don't try more then once a day or an angry grundo scientist will get you.

Dice-a-roo, for 5NP you can win lots of free food, then there's the jackpot and a chance for an avatar.
Coconut Shy costs 50NP and you can get junk or NP but this one is super risky, most often you get nothing.
The Corkgun Gallery costs 100NP and you can get junk or NP.
Bagatelle costs 250NP and you can get junk or NP.
Pick your Own cost 400NP, you can find 32 different items here.
Key Quest! Yes a fun game where you can earn NP and get prizes.
Top Chop, it's you verses a board and all you need to do is break it. When you send your score you get a free wearable depending on the score, belts, pants and shirts. The higher the score the better Top Chop outfit you get.
TNT has a new way of getting to play new games.

Challange AAA or Abigail to win a prize! Buy a ticket at the NC Mall to challange thier cousin Lulu. You don't have to choose either Abigail or AAA just send your score,
you can get all the prizes!

  1. Shop on the 3rd day of the month, pay 1/2 price for everything.
  2. Inventory for your shop, if you decide to specialize in one thing it's easier later when you sell it off.
  3. Complete your gallery, buy everything you need for it and put it in your SDB
  4. Work on your Neohome, buy everything you want for your house and put it in your SDB
  5. Get all the items for the item avatars; 10 codestones, 8 things with the word orange in thier titles, 10 dung items.
  6. Collect cards, stamps and shells for your books and put them in your SDB.

    Visit for all the information on collecting.

  7. Buy tickets to the concerts at the Tyrannian Concert Hall, keep the ticket or go to the show and get the free stuff. Some shows give you an avatar. For a scheduale click here.
  8. Check the Shop boards for people who are selling the contents of thier Safety Deposit Boxes after getting the avie.
  9. Look for cheap items with the Shop Wizard or Super Shop Wizard. A lot of times if you're looking for one cheap item you can find others
  10. Some toys are available as 2 items, the regular one and the broken one. Chia toys, Puppets and skateboards are a few.
  11. Shop at the garage sale at the igloo! It's really cheap and so worth it!

Another listing thing! Project Packrat

I finally took a look at this, it's pretty cool! Basicly it is a user database of items selling for under 210np. If you are an avatarlog user you can add a new item to be listed or change the current price of a listed item. I liked that you can list items by price, alphabetically or category and you can make a printable list so you can sit and manually check off items as you buy them. Also it indicates if the item can help you earn an avatar. They also have some other petpages that have lists of items in thier Resource list section. Guess who's page is listed there! Weeeeeeeeeee yay me!
