Welcome to the unnofficial Mystery Island Yooyuball team webpage. Here we aim to give you the latest news about the team, aswell as upcoming events, and past news. We will try to keep you as updated as possible on all there is to know about the team. If you have any questions related to the team, please contact me (aylaboat).
Although the team has not been in the news since the Yooyuball cup, there has been plenty going on to keep them occupied. Aswell as training and playing practise games, they have been making many appearances, such as fund raisers and such.
20th June-Altador Cup - Round Two has ended and the results have been tallied! To see who won, visit the Previous Rounds standings page.
Sign-ups for Round Three have also begun! There are four teams left, but only one will take home the Cup
17th&18th June- Altador Cup - Things are heating up as Round Two continues! Each team wants to prove they're the best, but will your team come out on top?
16th June-Altador Cup - Round two has begun! The match-ups are posted, and the eight remaining teams are now fighting for their spot in the next round. Get on the field and win some games for your team!
If your Neofriends need a little nudge in the right direction, you can invite them to join your team! Just view your team's bio page and click the invite link at the top!
15th June- Altador Cup - The first round of the staff tournament has come to an end! Some steller Yooyuball skills were displayed, but eight staff members have been eliminated. The results are listed on the Staff Tournament page and round 2 will be played next week
14th June-Round 2 Sign-Ups have begun! There are 8 teams left in the Altador Cup tournament and round 2 will begin in a few days. If your team was eliminated, fear not! You can select one of the remaining teams to continue on! (It's a good idea to do so... the more you play, the better your prizes.) ;)
If you were on a team that advanced, it's a good idea to stay put, but you have the option to switch if you like! Beware of angry teammates, though!
13th June- Altador Cup - Round one ended this morning and we've tallied the winners! To see the results, you can visit the Previous Round Standings page!
10th&11th June- Altador Cup - Staff Tournament! We want to join in the fun too, so we're having our own internal staff tournament! Sixteen staff members have each chosen a team and will play against each other for a much smaller piece of Altador Cup glory. Place your votes for who will win, and if you're right, you'll take home an extra prize at the end of the Altador Cup! Click here for more information and to vote for your favourites!
9th June-Kick-Off! - Round one of the Altador Cup starts now! Get out on the field and do your best for your team. This first round ends Sunday, 11th June at Midnight NST. Good Luck! (And don't forget to read the Tournament Updates!)
If you haven't signed up yet, don't worry! You can still sign-up while the round is in progress. Just be sure you choose wisely. You will not be able to switch once you have chosen!
8th June-Don't forget! Tournament play for the Altador Cup starts tomorrow! You have less than 24 hours to decide which team you'd like to join in the tournament, so think carefully, but don't take too long!
Altador Cup fever has hit Zazzle! If you want to show off your team pride while sauntering around town, why not make yourself a t-shirt with your favourite logo? Most of us on staff have already purchased ours. We... we just couldn't resist.
7th June-Breaking News! - In a stunning turn of events, Kiko Lake's Holbie Pinnock suffered a terrible injury around 4:30 NST this afternoon. There is some good news, though! Kiko Lake fans will want to read more at the Tournament Updates page.
6th June-Don't forget! The first round of the Altador Cup tournament begins June 8th. If you haven't chosen a team yet, make sure to do so before time runs out!
3rd June-Altador Cup sign-ups have begun! Read up on the tournament, the game, and the teams, then choose which one you'll play for once the tournament begins. You can even start practicing as soon as you sign up.
1st June-We promised a new event in June, so we thought you might like a glimpse of what's to come. It's almost time for the Altador Cup!
Led by the dazzling moves of Teylore Nix and the unstoppable brute force of Volgoth, Mystery Island's squad of Yooyuballers enter the tournament with a punishing offensive arsenal that few teams can hope to keep pace with. If not for the shaky status of their goalkeeping situation, this group would most likely be the odds-on favourites to bring home the cup. Sa
Player Name: Maital Koric
Player Position: Defender
Although they play in a 3-1-1 formation, teams are usually so exhausted from trying to slow down Nix and Volgoth that they usually don't have much energy to mount a counterattack of their own. When opponents do attempt to score, however, Koric does a decent (if unspectacular) job of trying to keep them in check.
Player Name: Yaniq Avaan
Player Position: Goalkeeper
For all the firepower that this team brings to the tournament, there are some serious concerns about their goalkeeper. Avaan spent most of last year recovering from a major knee injury, and although he's looked solid in the weeks leading up to the tournament, rumour has it that he's been spending a lot of time in the training room lately.
Player Name: Teylore Nix
Player Position: Left Forward
This charismatic Nimmo is adept at passing and scoring, and is even a solid contributor on defence. On most teams Nix would be considered a star, but because he shares the field with the titan Volgoth, he's reduced to the role of sidekick in most fans' eyes.
Player Name: Bertie Shurtz
Player Position: Centre Forward
With her fellow forwards providing most of Mystery Island's scoring, Bertie's job is to set up their shooting opportunities with plenty of picks and passes. Because teams often double up on Volgoth (or even Nix when he's on a particularly hot streak), Bertie will occasionally get a nice, wide-open shot at the net. When such opportunities come around, she usually makes the most of them.

Player Position: Right Forward
Despite a lack of grace and technique, Volgoth is one of the most dominant players in the game. Once he's planted himself in front of the net and gotten his hands on the Yooyuball, his powerful shots are nearly impossible for goalies to stop. Opponents usually double or triple team him, in hopes of either keeping the ball away from the massive Mynci or forcing him to pass it off to an unguarded teammate.
