Hiya, guest!!! What brings ya'll to my humble abode? Wait, probably best if ya'll don't answer that.

Well, lets see. Ya'll want'a know 'bout me, eh? Not much to say really. I'm pretty much a loner, and hate crowds, which makes living with my family that much more difficult. Now, don't get me wrong here, I'm not peoplephobic or anything of the sort, I just like to hang with a small group of my choosin'. I find humor in a lot of things, but Mom says that they happen to be the most morbid things that a being can find humorous, but who listens to her anyway?

Okay, now I guess I may have seemed a bit on the harsher side when I was regarding my family earlier. That doesn't mean I'm a lookin' for a new home or anything. I've gotta hand it to my mom and sis's' they do put up with me in'all. So even now that there are about 15 of us now, things are still cool. Plus, it is kinda nice to get to boss 'round the little ones.

What was that? Ya'll wanna know how I came to find mi'self in this large chaotic home o'mine? Well, I suppose that all started before I was even born. See, I trace mi'bloodline back to old Maraqua, pre-whirlpool that is. Both of my blood parents were a'fighters in the royal army, quite an honor I can assure you. Well anyway, my folks were old believers in signs and the lot, and boy, right 'fore that whirlpool were there some signs! Now, if my 'rents knew that some as extreme as the whirlpool was to go down, they would got themselves out'a there, too, as well as anyone else that would listen.
But as it were, they only thought that things might be a bit rough for a time. So that's when they ran in to trouble. I was on my way. Now for you slower ones, trouble and little bundles o'joy never mixed well. So my folks did the only things they considered sensible, which was to send me on up to the surface world. 'Course they didn't like the idea, but it was the only thing they could think of.
See, you just don't send a wild-bred peophin up top. We're a whole 'nuther breed. We're wild and hate closed in spaces. We need fresh salt on our skins, and the waves to rock us to sleep. We need the tasty kelp of below to fill out our shapes and nourish us. That's why so few of us are ever kept as you would a normal pet. We just can't function properly in the environment. You're average little pet central peophin wouldn't last a day out on open water, but boy are they better for land dwellers.
