Why, hello there. ^_^ You seem to have reached fweh.'s information and application page. That must mean you would like to get fat by eating numerous breakfast foods, becoming, day by day, more and more crazy until you can be officially pronounced a lunatic, muttering strange things under your breath at random intervals that generally have to do with plumbers and perhaps ninjas, and be a part of an extremely odd family.

fweh. guild is established, private, and literate. We were founded on September 26, 2007 and opened to the public about a month later; this makes us about two years old, which is quite an accomplishment. Since we opened, we have evolved to become a bigger, better, and ultimately more fun guild. Yes, we have an application, and yes, we have high literacy standards; but indeed, it is well worth it to become a part of us.

Friendship is our ultimate goal here at fweh. We aim to create a relaxed and fun environment where you can chat, have a good time, and make many friends that, whether you leave the guild or not, you will want to keep in touch with on Neopets for quite a long time to come.

What we have to offer

fweh. has lots and lots of things to offer our hobo-wannabe members, but since you're obviously SO interested, we've compiled a short list of the very best things fweh. has to offer.

• First of all, we are chatspeak-free. Because of our good ol' application, no chatspeakers are ~ or ever will be ~ allowed through our doors. Thus, we're a perfect haven for all the literates out there who love to chat without a fear of ppl tlkn lyk dis.

• We're active! Our boards usually have at LEAST two people on them, most of the time more (especially on weekends). However, sometimes the flow is unpredictable...we might be overflowing with messages one day, then only post two or three pages the next. It all depends on what's going on at the time. However, we generally keep steadily active boards. :)

• We're hilarious. So many laughs have passed between fwehians that it's impossible to count, and there will be more to come. Want some comic relief? Chat with us. (;

• We have many fun activities and events. fweh. offers plots, fwestivals, tournaments, board activities, and theme days - and perhaps even more than that. Our webbie has more information on that subject. (;

• And, last of all, we're very close-knit. We have a member limit of 60 which ultimately ensures activity, but is actually (by current GC standards) a relatively low number. We all know each other in this guild and you won't see an unfamiliar face popping up on a day-to-day basis. c;

But...oh dears, here comes the scary part: the application.

Never fear, the info page is here! Actually, contrary to popular belief, the application isn't actually that scary at all.

There are indeed a few things we look for - to name a few, literacy, creativity, and humor. In addition, we would like in-depth & truthful answers, so we don't want to see My friend is in it or You seem like a good guild as your answer to the third question. ;)

All you have to do is fill out this application and neomail it to one of these people:

They should respond within three days. If you do not get a response by then, try another one on the list. :3 (Please be sure to wait at least three days.)

We will read over your application. If you've been literate and creative, and ultimately fit our guidelines, you will be sent an invite pronto!

If you are not accepted, the application reviewer will generally tell you what you need to fix, and you are free to re-apply if you really want to join us.

The one instance in which you may NOT have to fill out an application to join is if we're on an advertising board (or we're advertising on your board) and you and one of the people in the list above have a conversation. They deem you worthy to join us, they send you an invite. (Or, of course, they tell you you have to fill out an app. xD)

Joining fweh. requires you to be 100% literate. This short guide, which should be read by all new members, will help define what being literate means in this guild. It will also help you write your application!

• Capitals and punctuation in the right spots are crucial. Capitalize the beginnings of sentences, names, singular I's, and anything else that needs to be capitalized. Remember to use apostrophes appropriately when writing contractions (I'm, they're, it's, etc.), possessive phrases (i.e., John's stapler), etc., and periods at the ends of sentences.

  

• NO CHATSPEAK. Do NOT use phrases like "btw", "brb", or "g2g" on our message boards, unless you have a VERY good excuse (i.e., you're typing on your Wii or iPhone xD). "U" and "ur" are TOTALLY off-limits - we don't care if you're on your iPhone this time - as is tlkng lyk dis or t4lk1ng lyk th1$ (except on n00b/chatspeak day or when specified at random intervals - that won't happen often, believe me!).

• Grammar. Please try to type with neat grammar. It's ugly and annoying to say "ain't" and whatnot on our boards. :/

• Spelling! Yes, spelling. Pretty self-explanatory: TRY YOUR VERY BEST TO SPELL EVERYTHING CORRECTLY. Firefox has a spell-check already installed if that helps. ;)

Q: Why didn't you accept my application?
We get a LOT of complaints from users whose applications weren't accepted. Here's the answer: It's probably either because you weren't literate (refer to the above section) or because your application was too short and it didn't look like you put any effort into it. Remember, you must be creative and honest while writing the application, and if the application reviewer doesn't think you're either of these things, they will not accept you.

Q: I can't join! Where's the join link?!
This is a common problem. If you can't see the guild sidebar (usually located on the right of the page), try scrolling right with your arrow keys/the scrollbar at the bottom, if there is one. If it still isn't working, contact Maddy and she'll try to help you.

Q: Can I join on a side account?
As long as your side account is active, yes, it's perfectly fine to join the guild on a side account. Keep in mind that you can only have one account total in the guild, though!

Q: I can't invite people to join! What do I do?
A: Oops! New rule: While non-council members can advertise, only council members can give invites (problems have arisen from members inviting new people, so we decided it would be best just to have the council invite). This means when you advertise and you manage to recruit a new member, please have them zip over an application to one of the people in the application section of this page. It should be answered within three days. Thanks!

Q: How many members do you have?
A: Neomail maddy123096 for the current amount of members, as it fluctuates and changes at times.

Q: Erm, I've heard you're a pancake-supporting guild, but I don't like them that much...
A: Eep! If you don't like pancakes (*gasp*), don't worry. We have a handful of waffle-lovers and even pancake-haters in the guild, but as a whole we're pretty much very supportive of pancakes as seen on our activities and such, so please don't constantly rant about how you hate them so much. x3

Q: Can I submit a layout for the guild homepage?
A: You may have noticed that we don't have a "layout lineup" on our guild homepage. However, every member is welcome to submit a layout. Just remember that we are picky about our graphics, so please don't feel that bad if your layout is not accepted. :)
