First Impression: 9 out of 10 Photographs
I really love the colors, and that is the exact first thing I notice. They're an odd choice in colors, but they are warm and welcoming. It makes me want to come back to your directory! That's very important to your viewers. Your banner is nice, not too big and not too little, but you did misspell strong in the banner(I'm assuming that stong isn't any other odd unknown word!). I like your introduction section and your section headers. It's all very neat and organized.

What a unique theme! I enjoyed learning that history also. The name flows and goes with everything. Your buttons go well with your theme and your affies fit your theme also. I would add more directories though, and don't think just because they are in your directory that you have to add them if they ask. The number of directories you are listed at makes me smile. Haha. Nothing wrong with that area! Yuo have plenty of sites, but you can never have enough in a directory!

Your layout is perfect for a directory. I love 2 and 3 column layouts for directories. It just goes. Though 2 column are my favorites. I like how your sidebars are organized and set up. Your navigation links are cute and easy to read! The only thing I dislike is the Top 5 Best Colonies of each section. To me it is kind of too many to have in the top. A top three would suffice. It keeps the viewer from struggling with which one to pick.

I said before, I adore your colors. The blue and green mixed color is very welcoming and warm. It makes me want to stay and take my time. I have no problem with the color scheme of your page! Everything matches well.

The one thing I would change about your text sections is I would leave room at the end of each section by using the tag. It actually really bothers me to see it so close to the other sections header. That is only because I am very claustrophobic though. You may find this odd, but it really does make me nervous focusing on that sentence directly above the header. It makes me feel like there's no room(I know you're thinking Weiirrrdooo.... Haha.). Anyways, the rest of your site is layed out evenly and I didn't find many grammar mistakes throughout the site. However, I did find a lot in that one introduction paragraph. Be sure to fix those. That's the first thing your viewers see and read!!

If you lived in Canada, or you study history, like what I am doing at school, you'll probably hear of a place called Acadia, which is now Newfoundland, today! Acadia, was once owned by the French, then it was owned by Acadia, for the French's other colony.

You should be you have. Newfoundland, today needs no comma. Acadia, was needs no comma either. Acadia, for needs no comma. The italicized text I am not sure about what the corrected forms should be, but it doesn't look right. There a too many commas within the first sentence.

I really enjoy looking at this directory. It's easy to navigate and view. It's very useful in finding resources. And it's just plain cute!! Organization is the big deal in this and you hit it! The banner isn't too big and the rules and key are both easy to understand. You have plenty of updates for a site that just opened and a good number of hits! It's great that you have a counter also. My eyes applaud your hard work!

I am a long time Pokemon fan of about 8 years! So this made me very happy. I loved how you used the images and pixels that matched the theme. The cuteness of it fits well and you use the images within your buttons. But I feel like it's missing something. I really love it all but to me it lacks that Come on in and have a seat feel to it also.Just cute little additions to the site would fix that.

I really like your layout. It fits the page so well. I really like these layouts for directories. It's way easier to navigate. My second favorite is the one that I have as my current layout. Those also work well for directories(see Faerie Compass). Anyways, it is very organized and clean. It isn't too busy or too boring. Of course this is just my opinio,n but this is one of the best directories I've seen(aside from the pros that have been in the neopets directory business for a LONG time). I will use this one when I need to find something! You've heard it from me: I recomend this directory!

Purple, some orange, and black. Very nice, mainly because I love purple. Also the colors go so well together in this type of scheme. I adore the background because its not flashy or OMG-HEY-U-GUYZ, lol, get what I'm saying? It's very easy on the eyes.

My, my. I've already told you about the only thing I really don't like about your page. The text areas. I don't really understand how you think they are supposed to be used. I can't even get a type cursor to show up. To get your button I had to turn off the style on the page. That's a bother to do for many people. Atleast make the height a wee bit more. I have no problem with small text areas though! They really save space, but those are just too small. I understand they might be different on your browser though, but you have to take account for every browser. Ask for browser testers for your site on the HC. Plenty of people will help!
Also, the orange Click to Neomail is kind of confusing. I had no idea the octo pixels were the ones that needed to be clicked. And in the different sections you already have a link to neomail you. So you should pick one to use. The pixels or the regular link.
And! I love the welcome graphic that you have. If it's possible make one for every section name. It looks very nice and professional.
Keep adding sites and advertise on the Help Boards much more. Try to limit your affies to sites that are related to yours. Not just because they are in your directory but that you feel your users will want to use along with your directory. Like one or two coding help sites, many directories, some button sites that you feel are advanced etc etc. Find many more places to be listed at also.

Wow, orange indeed! The page is overloaded with orange! I would definately tone it down a bit. You might send your viewer into convulsions! Besides that, it's very cute. Your art is displayed well though. Everything is organized into sections(I love organization! It's definately a plus.) There are some minor issues with this page that I will address in due time.

Orange! In this case, your theme is the same as the Glamour section. I'll let you read it all in the Glamour section though. You keep up with your theme though which is good for 10 points. You use it a bit much though.
Style: 8 out of 10 Photographs
Your layout is fine for this type of site. It might be just because I use IE, but your links on the side are too far over. I have to scroll over to see them. I'd say if you lined them up with the updates box it'll be fine. Your anchors are too far down into the section though on The Form. I'd love to see your layout design include something you've drawn. You really have a talent(I definately can't draw like that!) that needs to be shown off. If you draw the orange chia, as soon as your viewers load the page they'll be impressed.

I understand the name Orange Art Requests and how the orange fit together, but as I said earlier, there's a little too much orange. I would eaither put a fade over the whole background using some kind of image editor(even picnik or photobucket) and put a white tone over it or I would find a less busy background. Also, I'd change the way the section and words are outlined and the font color. Don't get me wrong, it is okay to have a color theme, I love it actually, but you should also incorporate some neutral colors. Try #222222 as the font color because it's black but not super black. You could try #cc6633 or a bit of #ee8855 with the next layout. Just try to mix and match some other darker colors in there. I'm sure it would give someone with sensitive eyes a bad headache as is.

Updates! There is only one days update in your update box! It's very important to atleast keep several days up to let your viewers know what's been going on with the site lately. I love your art though! It's very well done. The Adopt an Orange section really should be artwork that you've created. I love the idea of that though. It would be nice for you to make little orange chias or other orange pets and have them as adoptables. The pictures under the Credits section do not show in my browser. They might not be working images anymore. With your content, I is always capitalized. Also, you're getting a bit comma happy with your paragraphs(I can't say anything because I do the same!). I'll post a few examples from your page in excerpts.

Overall, I think your idea is great. If you love orange then that's wonderful! But you can have an orange themed page with a bit less orange. It'll still get the point across! You should run your content through a spell checker also. That will help weed out a lot of those misspellings. I'd love to see that adoptables idea happen also.
