Design: Cas was born with her design, and from the start, she was an oddity to the people of her village, Tuwaite. From the cloud markings, the villagers linked her to an old passed down fairytale of their village. This tale was of a little girl who hid in the goddess's washtub to hide from Oni. When she didn't get out in time, she was washed with the goddess's laundry and the patterns of the celestial kimonos stained the girl's skin. Because of this relationship with the story and Caslean's design, people started treating her as the golden child of the village.
Childhood Overview: Caslean didn't mind the spoiling she got when she was younger. All those presents and gifts she got, they were great tribute to the fairytale
reincarnation. Still, years passed, and before long she was sick of it. The fairytale was running her life to the point that everybody thought she was the girl from the story. They believed she was sweet and gentle, and when she wasn't, she was scorned and disciplined. Caslean, being the stubborn one that she is, was constantly fighting with the elders about staying out of the dirt, shouting, and rough-housing with the boys. The war between her and the village grew even greater as time passed, and words turned into actions.
Throughout her entire island life, it was a constant tug-o-war between her and the village. She wondered off, did dangerous stunts, and made the surliest of friends, all while the village went to the extreme trying to contain her. In short, they never succeeded however. The day after Caslean's 13th birthday was the day she was whisked away from them by a flying metallic beast, a helicopter.
Current Caslean: At age fifteen, Cas lives in a urban society. It was a dramatic change from her island life but two years spent in this new world taught her well. Taken under the wing of Dashett, a flirty casino owner, she learned much of the ends and outs of city life, but of course, she remains naïve to others. To keep her on track, Dashett hired a tutor for her. There is conflict between her and this new teacher. Old habits die hard. Nevertheless, the tutor has remained and continues to teach her.
As for Caslean's free time, she enjoys old adventures in a new playground. She loves exploring the city when she can, and does it often. When Caslean isn't trying to check out new places and learn more about the urban world, she is remixing and creating music. She is far from professional,
of course, seeing as she has had only two years of experience with a DJ music system. Still,
Caslean isn't bad at her hobby, and has picked up the alias DJ Cas from it.
However, even though Cas has become good and accustomed to her urban life, there is one big problem that she faces over and over again. She is homesick. The village she came from was on an uncharted island, never seen or heard of ever before. The only two people who could possibly locate it are the ones who took her from it in the first place. Unfortunately, since that day she snuck into their helicopter, Caslean has long forgotten their faces. Now, she is stuck in her new world, and although she doesn't hate her new life in the city, she sometimes cries. Memories of her family and old friends continue to linger in the back of her mind and they tear her apart, inside out.
Personality: Caslean isn't all-knowing or legendary like her design seems to describe. If she did, I would lose interest real fast so instead, Caslean branches from my sense of irony. She's young and makes mistakes. Therefore, she has a need to correct them.
+ First off, Cas is a spunky, daring, and adventurous tomboy. She loves having fun and doing things that can give her an adrenaline rush. She even enjoys inviting people to join in if they can keep up with her beat. This girl is very witty and creative too. If there are no games to play, she makes up her own in a snap. Finally, being from an island, Caslean is still fairly new to the urban world, so she is very curious and sticks her nose into a lot of things.
- Now like every normal person in the world, Caslean has her downs as well as ups. One of her cons is that she is a bit rash. It's easy to tell that she doesn't think things through most of the time, and this gets her into trouble after trouble. The tomboy also has a slight problem of being self-sufficient. It doesn't mean that Cas doesn't care about the people around her, but that she rather thinks of herself first. Being so, she would much rather play than work or donate time for somebody. Finally, Caslean is slightly hot-tempered, and quick to take revenge if offended.

It's okay, I can make another for you…"
Needless to say, many of her friends were once enemies.
One day however, there came a terrible turn of ill fate for the little girl. An old friend had fallen deathly ill by an incurable disease. His body had become swallowed in round red mumps the size of clam shells, and his lungs rattled with every strained breath he took. The healers attempted everything they could to save his life. They gave him Juyo, mashed Kojita flies, and the life saving bell plant, but in the end, it was a hopeless pursuit. Nothing could save him, and it devastated Caslean, who knew this man so well. With no more hope left for the old friend, she swore to collect him one of the most beautiful but rarest flowers on the island before he died, the lotus flower. To this, people understood her sympathy and feelings for the old man, but they pleaded her not to. A lotus flower hasn't been seen in years, and to go searching for it would require exploring ponds within the dangerous depths of the jungle.
As we all know, the jungle is no place for a little girl. Many dangerous and poisonous monsters live amongst the foliage. As a matter of fact, even the foliage can be dangerous. Have you ever heard of the great Yuka Meat Snapper? One can swallow a man whole in a single gulp if they were to accidently step on the Yuka's limp snake-like vines. However, despite all these monsters, there is one monster that stands above the rest. He is the king of these monsters, and he resides on the highest mountain top of Tuwaite island. He is infamous oni.
To hear that Caslean, the sweetest little girl in Tuwaite, was going into this territory for a flower was horrible. The villagers begged her not to go. They cried. They dropped to their knees to plead. They tried to reason with her. However, nothing would stop her from getting a lotus for her dying friend. So, before the villagers could even look up from their bowed positions on the ground, she had treaded into the jungle determined and fearless.
The people thought they would never see her again.
Caslean searched the jungle high and low, left and right. She circled every pond she found twice and used her wits to hide from the nasty creatures of the jungle. With no luck, her search took her higher and higher up the mountain. Eventually she got so high that she could see her village just by glancing over the massive jungle. By then, her hope had run thin. Night was falling, and she sadly could only make due with what she had. Caslean started picking the flowers on top of the mountain, one by one, to form a beautiful bouquet. She picked blue ones, purple ones, red ones… And then something snapped a twig behind her. The little draik let out a yelp and whipped around.
Standing before her was a monster with blue skin and devilish eyes. Gnarled teeth curved out of his grin and two twisted, dragon-like antlers emerged from his skull. He was the size of 5 men, and his weight brought thunder to the ground. Like the stories that Caslean so commonly heard, he dragged a spiked club made of the indestructible iron.
What are you doing on my mountain, little draik?" he roared.
I… I… was just picking some flowers?" Caslean choked
Heh heh… Foolish little girl…" the Oni bellowed.
The Oni pulled up his club and held it high in the air, but before he could smash down, Caslean ran. She ran as fast as her legs could carry her, but no matter how fast she went, she could not outrun an Oni. He was after her.
She hid in the thick jungle trees, but the Oni only needed to uproot them. She hid in the caves, but the Oni only needed to stomp his foot to make rubble fall on her. Caslean ran and ran. Finally, she came across something very peculiar. There, on a ledge of the mountain, was a single large washtub.
Losing options fast, she hid in the washtub.
Inside, she could hear the Oni stomp and roar in fury. "Where are you, little draik girl!?" She did not answer. She tightly clasped what was left of her bouquet to her chest and sat in silence, fighting back tears.
Moments passed as the monster searched and searched and searched. He even tried tricking Caslean out of hiding by mimicking the voices of her loved ones crying for help. But of course, she was too smart to fall for petty Oni tricks. Finally, the Oni grew bored and gave up is search. When he returned to his den to gnaw on the bones of his last meal though, Caslean did not leave the washtub. She feared the silence was another Oni trick, and so she stayed where she was well into the night.
Upon daybreak, Caslean was still in the great washtub, she was tired and fearful that the Oni could still be outside. By now, the flowers of her wonderful bouquet were starting to lose their petals. They sat on the wooden floor all around her. She wondered, briefly, if she was too late to accomplish her mission, too late to say good bye. Tears welled up in her eyes, but just then, something very peculiar happened. The washtub started filling up with water. It picked the petals off the wooden floor, it picked Caslean off the wooden floor, and it climbed higher and higher. This washtub was the goddess's. Caslean gasped in surprise, but the little draik couldn't get out before fabrics, fabrics of all patterns and colors, filled the washtub in an amazing pageantry. The clothes caressed and swirled around her. They danced like minnows in the water and pulled Caslean along like a puppet. She lost all the flowers of the bouquet which she had worked so hard to make, except for one. Eventually, the display around her disappeared, the water shrank back into what it came from, leaving Caslean wet and astonished. She looked at the single flower left in her hand; it had turned a beautiful shade of blue streaked with gold.
Then Caslean noticed herself. She had changed. All over her skin and clothes, beautiful clouds, like the ones of the goddess's kimonos, now decorated her from head to toe. It was a gift, a gift that gave her courage and hope.
With no time to lose, Caslean finally left the washtub, and raced through the jungle back to her village. It was as hard a journey as ever, but upon seeing her home, she knew her quest had at last, been fulfilled. She ran through the houses, heedless. Her dying friend was waiting for her.
Upon reaching his house, she entered, quietly. Slowly, she walked up to his bed, and swallowed back her worries. Once she saw him on his bed, she got down on her knees. The sweet little girl held out her beautiful gift in front of her. "My friend, I couldn't find you a lotus, but I have found you the most beautiful flower on the island…"
I see…"
But old man's eyes were not on the flower, they were on the beautiful draik holding it. "Thank you, Caslean…"'
The end…" the storyteller said.
Now that the folktale was over, the children rustled and chatted excitedly amongst each other. Story evenings were always the best part of the day for Tuwaite children. There were so many interesting tales full of love, adventure, and the wildest dreams. However, not all of the children were content with the story.
Nana?" a little boy asked, barely over the age of seven.
Yes?"
Why did you tell us the clouded girl story again?" he asked, "You told me you were going to tell the creation of the world today." The rest of the children went silent and all eyes were on the storyteller. The others had been curious about Nana's choice of story too, but none of them had cared much to argue it. The lupe sighed and crossed her legs into a more comfortable position. After which, she smiled warmly at the child with a wild twinkle in her eye.
Souta? Do you know the artisan couple who have all those sculptures around their house?" she asked him, leaning slightly forward to him.
Yeah, one of them gave me a sculpture of a bird," he said.
The lupe nodded in confirmation. She sat straight up again, and like a child excited by the greatest festival of the year she announced,
Their baby just hatched…
What? These are the strangest markings I've ever seen," the fifth leader exclaimed.
Oh come now, they obviously must fake," the second said, "They are artisans. It would have been a simple matter to paint such things on her. A despicable thing to do to a newly-hatched." He attempted to rub out one of the clouds with his thick elephante fingers. Unfortunately, the elder had no such luck.
No, they're real, I guarantee you. Straight out of the eggshell," the draik said.
The elder was unmoved. "Oh really?"
The father is telling the truth, Kowui… I could only travel so fast, and I admit I arrived slightly late. But I will not kid you that the little dear was slimy from newly hatching when I showed up, clouds and all. We gave her a bath to clean her up, and none of these clouds or curls came out," the sixth elder said.
Hmph. I see, but we'll all know the truth with time," the stingy elephante said, turning to walk out. The sixth elder shook his head at his brother. Kowui was always stubborn. The techo smiled and tickled the little draik in her mother's arms with a finger. She let out a little gurgle.
You know, this is quite odd… She reminds me of a folktale. As a matter of fact, she's exactly like the draik in the folktale," the fifth leader happily piped up.
Oh? You're thinking about the Clouded Girl?" the father asked.
Yes. Caslean."
So the reincarnation of Caslean, the draik of fairytale has grown up to be a sweet child. A sweet child that plays amongst the ledges of dangerous cliffs, romps around in the mud, and roughhouses in all unlady-like fashion.
Don't get your hair dirty," they said.
Don't run after the animals," they said.
But who really cares what they said anyway? Caslean is the four foot rebel of Tuwaite and nothing is going to bring her back to that fairytale the people are shoving her into. She never liked making seashell necklaces like the girl in the story, they always looked like junk in the end. Smashing them was a lot funner anway. As for enemies, give her a break. She was going to kick that sharptongued snob's butt once she wasn't in reach of an elder's hand iron hand.
Why can't you be artistic like the girl in the story?" they asked.
Why can't you be sweet like the girl in the story?" they asked.
Why can't you practice proper hygeine like the girl in the story?" they asked.
Why can't they shut up? She was nothing like the girl in the story, even if she had the magical clouds tattooed all over herself. They couldn't see that though, so while all the other children got to do what they pleased, she was shoved into a mold. She wished she could be like them. To be free to act who they were and do what they pleased within reason.
There was a doll given to her on her sixth birthday. It was of that girl everybody recognized her as. She hated that doll. It was always staring at her, smiling like the world was made of sugar. It was how the people viewed her, and not who she was.
To break their attempts Caslean just had to go ballistic. She traveled into the jungle unafraid, she got secret lessons from the bamboo fighting master, and she chased after theives. Her biggest acheivement yet however, was climbing the heights of the northwest cliff. It was great, she found a secret cave found by nobody on the island. There, nobody could tell her what to do and she was free... for a time at least. Like everything that brought her happiness, the elders were there to crush it.
It was the most horrible day of her life. Her peace spot was gone forever, but those strict elders didn't take her without a fight. Unfortunately, it was a mistake. Before she knew it, Caslean had slipped and fell in the gulf, infested with most horrible fish known to Tuwaite. Shouts and screams erupted and all she could feel was her heart panging against her chest. It was a miracle she came out untainted with the fish's lethal poison.
She was grounded afterwards, no doubt. Trapped within the house for days on end. Then again, sneaking out every so often was fun even if it added extra days whenever she got caught. No, this draik was a tough one, not to be broken. The villagers may as well throw in the towel now.
The grey old kougra smiled as he saw the children playing in the square. Caslean was one of them, finally. It pleased him that she was actually socializing with the other children. He took another bite of his bamboo shoot and headed back inside the bamboo building. "Caslean's playing with the other children," he said to Kowui, who was perched at the table. His wrist was working hard on a poem.
Hm? Well, well… It's about time," the elder replied happily. He wrote 'success' on his poem and asked, "What are they playing? Nothing dangerous right?"
Oh no, it's only a simple pretend game. They're playing folktales," Layu said, sitting on the opposite end from Kowui.
Hah hah… That's great! Who's Caslean? Is she… well, Caslean of the story?" the elephante asked.
No," the Layu said, pouring himself a cup of tea.

Oh…" Kowui rested his cheek on the palm of his hand with a frown. He finally looked up from his poem at the kougra and said, "I guess I should have known better… She must be playing a warrior from one of their folktales."
Layu took a sip from his tea. "No," he corrected again.
Hm? Well, what is she playing then?" the poet asked.
The oni."
RAWR!!! I'M GOING TO FEAST ON YOUR FLESH, STUPID LITTLE GIRL!" screamed a shrill voice from outside.
Ow! Caslean! No tackling!" came another voice, right after.
Kowui sharply inhaled a breath of air, and let it out. "Maybe next month…" he said, and took his brush over the paper to write 'misfortune' into his poem.
Caslean suffered years of repression by the villagers. Every day, they tried to force her to be who she wasn't and every day, she managed to break free from their crushing hold. Throughout her childhood, nothing changed, and nobody had won. Even when the war between them grew fiercer, Caslean managed to come out on top. They could tie her up, stick her on an island, and starve her, but nothing could break her stubborn will.
When the day of her thirteenth birthday came around, enjoyment enveloped her, even despite the small party. Of course, she didn't expect anything more. The resistance to her folktale figure had made her quite unpopular among the villagers. They would not attend the birthday celebration of such a pigheaded and dishonorable girl, and the elders, who were equally scornful of her, would not make them. Caslean wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
She already had close group of friends, from surly to small, and they all knew how to throw a party right unlike most other villagers. So, for the entire day and well into the night, there were games, food, adventures and fun. However, as we all know, time passes, and before long the celebration was over and the partygoers retired. The birthday draik that they left was lying in a pile of her presents and enjoying the light of the moon. It would be the last many would see of her, because the next day, she came across something amazing.
It was a quiet morning when Caslean was exploring the depths of the jungle and playing with her new bamboo stick. She threw and trashed it around like a true warrior. It was 100% Caslean quiet time. Well, the quietest she could be anyway. For hours she played, until she came across something odd. The bamboo stick fell to the ground when she saw a large monster land in front of her. It was grey and shined like a serpent, and its eyes were so large and clear that you could see the monster's black innards through them. Several fins poked from its back and a few from the side of its tail. In a way, it was shaped like the death fish. She took cover.
Two strange men in matching clothes got jumped out of the monster sides. They talked and although Caslean could understand many of the things they were saying, their dialect, words, and accent were nothing she heard of before. Nevertheless, despite their mysteriousness, the girl did not cower. As a matter of fact, she was only more intrigued by them. Particularly, she wanted to check out the great flying monster they came in. She wanted to know what it was like to fly.
The pilots left and she snuck in. There were very few places inside the beast that a thirteen-year-old draik could hide in, but she made due. Once the two strangers returned, talked some more in their odd dialect, Caslean got her wish. The monster growled and took to the air. She stuck her nose slightly outside her hiding place to see the sea and island falling farther and farther below. It excited her, so much that she let a squeal that nearly got her caught. After then, she learned to keep hidden, and simply enjoy the thought of the ride. Big mistake.
Hours past and soon Caslean was starting to become worried. Her ride wasn't stopping. She was about to get out a reveal herself when the helicopter landed and all was at peace. For a moment, the girl waited for the pilots to leave before immediately getting out, and then she wobbly stepped out. The trip had left her cramped, but as she soon found out, it was nothing compared to what she saw outside the helicopter.
She was in the most alien world she could imagine, a black palette of white dots. She was standing in the middle of the city. Excitement and curiosity flowed into her as she ventured out into this new world. There were more people wearing odd clothing and talking in the same odd dialects that the pilots spoke. Buildings towered over her. A different variation of the metallic flying monster zoomed down straight pathways (She almost got ran over by one in her excitement). She had never seen a world like this, and for the first time, she was free.
As she explored that many wonders of the city, Caslean eventually came across a white lupe with weak legs. Upon bumping into her, he gave her a small piece of paper in apology and continued on. This gift left her confused for a good time. That is, until she entered her first building and saw a person trade their piece of paper for a coat. Dragon see, dragon do.
After obtaining her first purchase, she ran into the lupe again. He was rambling about something that quite puzzled Caslean. Apparently, she had done the man a crime by trading her paper for a pair of feet warmers. However, after the lupe settled down, they found an understanding for each other, and the man took her to his home. She had found her first friend in the great big city, Uncle Dashett.
The helicopter blades hummed overhead, as the side of Caslean's face rested on the window overlooking the passing ocean. It was so quiet. Quiet enough to drive Dashett into the crazy house. Somehow, he could not help but feel that he was the one who crushed her. He brought her hopes so high. He rustled a bit in his seat.
Hey, Cassy. Cassy!" he called her.
What?" she asked, but she did not rustle from her position.
I'm sorry," the casino owner said, "Really…"
Caslean let out snort, and looked at her dim reflection in the glass.
Mr. Spades swallowed. She was really down about this. Then again, he almost knew what she was going through. Almost. Not being able to bear looking at Caslean, the lupe looked away from her, and at the smidge of window between the pilot seats. The ocean was actually quite beautiful tonight with the moon bearing down. It could have been a lovely night.
Caslean…" he started again to break the quiet ambience, "I never knew my mom. She divorced my dad for some snotty guy when I was two. And my dad… Well, he disappeared a couple years ago. He could be dead. I mean, you should already know this. I've told you this story before, but, what I'm saying is, I know how it feels to lose your family."
Did you lose your entire home too?" Caslean asked with a sharp tongue.
No. Not at all, but I didn't say I knew what it felt like to lose your home, did I? I said I knew what it felt like to lose your family," Dashett said, leaning back in his chair.
Caslean was silent for a moment, but then what was silence became sobbing. Dashett's ears perked up and the lupe turned his attention back to the teenager. "Oh, whoa now…"
I was such horrible daughter to them," she said.
Hey! Hey, Cassy! Quit it!" Dashett said. Before he even knew it, he had wrapped his arms around the girl, like a father consoling his daughter. It was surprise to both of them. The casino owner had done nothing like this before. It was so sudden that it even took a moment of registering. However, once it passed Dashett finished. "Quit it. We'll find your family and your island some day, and if we don't… Hey, you've Uncle Dashett and Spotty at your back."
Caslean pondered for a moment, looking out at the shimmering sea. Tears were still rolling down her cheeks, but she took her hands and placed them gently on Dashett's caressing arms.
When we get home, let's have a nice dinner at the palace buffet, okay?"

Hey, girl!
Huh? Oh! You guy who gave me paper!
Uhuh… Listen… I think I accidently gave you a $100 bill. I-I-I mean, it's not that I'm not generous. I would totally give you the money if it was on me, but uh… I kind of need that bill.
What in world is bill?
The paper! The paper I gave you! Where is it?
Umm… Well, I saw somebody give lady paper like one you gave me, but in return, he got robe. Then I saw foot-warmers…
Oh no… What did the shoes cost?
The… paper?
No! The…! Gah!
The gah? Yeh, you people talk weird.
No! Young lady, was there a piece of paper on the shoes with… odd markings on it?
Yes… I… thought they were charm of some sort. It still on them.
… …… …… Only $15.00!? And you didn't get cash back!?
Cash... back?
DOH!
Perhaps Dashett wasn't the best influence on dear Caslean, but he was the one who was there. He found her lost in the big new world, but being optimistic, he didn't think she needed help and gave her a small donation. However, that all changed after getting shortchanged a couple minutes later. By the girl's complete naivety to the subject, he learned that she was far from a resident in the city.
Dashett knew how dangerous his dog-eat-dog world was, especially to an orphaned girl so he took her in. Now he is Caslean's best friend and the one she looks up to in times of need. Unfortunately, being the sweetheart that he is towards women, he pretty much spoils Caslean and her discipline is lightly taken.

I know a few good places in city. I could show you them sometime.
Really? That would be awesome!
Not today though, it's getting a bit late.
Yeah…
Heh…
So…
Hm?
Don't take this the wrong way. I doubt it's true, but I heard from Uncle Dash that… Do you play with dolls?
Uh-Whoa! Why do you ask?
I don't know, it just sounds so nerdy. I mean, you're what? 14?
Er… Heh heh. Play with dolls? Nope, that's not me.
I didn't think so. Dash makes up a lot of stuff. So what do you like to do?
I… uh… I need to go. I have something planned at 8:00.
What?
Nothing…
Aria, being Dashett's nephew, comes over every once in a while to spend a week or two with his uncle. Needless to say, that because of this, he met Caslean pretty quickly, and soon became good friends with her. Unfortunately, he is suffering an internal battle. Aria has a crush on her-A crush that the DJ doesn't even know about, and he tries so hard to impress her. Still, in order to do that, he has to cover up a special secret that others would look down on him for. What is he going to do though? How can the prince of Toyland get a princess that doesn't even understand his world?

Hm… That tune wasn't bad.
You think so?
I'll tell you what, DJ…?
Cas, Caslean.
DJ Cas. I have a special offer for you. In a month, I'm going to be opening the latest attraction to my amusement park-a video game.
A… video game?
And I would like to have your music in this game, with full credit off course.
Ah…. Ah… ah… Are you serious!?
I don't joke... ever…
Dude… You have seriously got to the coolest in the world…
Heh, I already know I am…
For two years, Caslean thought of everybody in the city as a friend. They were so different from the strict islanders of her village. So cool, that they just couldn't be rotten. However, all of this changed in one big slap of reality. She met Mr. Samu.
For a long time, Samu has been a business partner to her dear uncle Dashett. He develops inventions for Wonderland Palace, in exchange for money and advertising. It is during one of these transactions that she and the cold-blooded entrepreneur meet and he takes interest in her DJ work. Seto offers her some money to have the music in his latest video game, but the thing that caught Caslean's ear was the credit. She was already striving to become well-known and this was an enormous opportunity for her. Or so she thought.
Weeks after, he indeed uses her music, but it has been changed to fit his liking. It's a disgrace to Caslean, and she is unable to do anything about it. The signing of a contract had sealed the fate of her music. The only thing left for her to do then is to get revenge, and she does it with the help of a certain lupess.

So what do you want to do with McTwiggy?
Well, you're a witch right? I was thinking some horrible disease!
Eh... Boring, plus too risky. I don't do death and pain, even if I am delightfully impish...
But you said you could give me the ultimate revenge!
And I can, but that wasn't the ultimate revenge...
Uh... Then turn him into a fish!
Eh. I've already hit him in the past, and want to stray from transformations for now.
You've already hit him?
Yeah, turned him into a little boy, but that's besides the point. Look girl, I have an idea. You want humilation right?
YEAH! I'll go for that.
In a week, Samu is going to open the latest exhibit to his little virtual world for a couple of contest winners. Let's have some fun shall we?
So Caslean needs a revenge plan on Seto, but how will she put it into action? With the help of a devious witch, of course. It is Silverpaw who offers her services after Samu's misuse of Caslean's music. So far, Caslean doesn't think any more of Silverpaw than a partner in revenge. She isn't a friend, and the witch is more of a loner anyway. However, anybody that helps her get revenge on the punk that took advantage of her will certainly end up on her cool list.

Then what would you be here for, miss...?
Pft! Come on, a spooky abandoned village? Only a coward could stay home when offered with that. But... I guess I did want to try and scare you...
Well I think you've accomplished that quite well. But I'm afraid this isn't something a young lady should be getting into.
Oooooh! But it's definitely something three teeangers and little girl can get into. Look, I told you dude, I don't take no for an answer. I bet I can even beat all three of you to the village before you can blink.
Kudo and I are experienced in this field, miss. There's a good chance that the village will be unsafe. A respectable young lady would head home right now.
Respectable? Ew, you sound like an elder. Fine, if you're going to be total stuck ups about this, I'll just explore myself.
Cas does not like this gentleman one bit. Being the wild child that she is, the least thing she would be interested in is being caged, having a cap on her freedom, and this is exactly what Saguru Hakuba does. Although she has little regard for his vain attempts at 'civilizing' her, she finds the detective extremely irritating to be around. Not to mention, because of his annoying attempts at controlling her, he has won the name 'Elder' based on those that tried to dictate her as a child.
She met Hakuba after overhearing his, Jimmy's, and Samu's plans to explore a haunted village for several women that had gone missing. She stalks them, all the way to the outskirts of the village where she finds them and herself lost in an abyss of fog. The perfect chance to scare, but when it doesn't work out, she shows herself to the detective and there began a frustating relationship.

Caslean got her Garfir on her first birthday in the city. The cute little thing was from Dashett, who overheard her crying one night about home and feeling alone. Although it was a weak attempt to cheer her up, he was sweet enough to obtain the petpet for her. That day, Caslean had never been so delighted at the sight of her new Garfir. She named it Ayumu which means "Dream" in Japanese.
Ayumu could never replace her family obviously, but since they were first joined, they've been a dynamic duo ever since. What Cas admired the most about her new friend is that he was tough, and made sure that no person set a finger of harm to her. When he isn't guarding her however, he is very affection, playful, and loves to go with Caslean on her adventures through the city. Perhaps because Cas loves to spoil him with the most pricey collars, the most exquisite of petpet food, and fancy beds in the city-All under Dashett's credit card, of course.

1. To start off, the village of Tuwaite is seperated into two areas, southwest and northeast. The southwest section however, is the 'main half' of Tuwaite. It is here that the village leaders reside, hear cases, and make justice calls. Along with that, most fishing boats are docked along the main half's shore, while most holidays and festivities are held in its square. It make the southwest a lively section, but it is hardly different from the northeast half.
The pride of the 'main half' is in a way, its townsquare. Trading posts and the housing of special professions are aligned in a circle around a tiling of smoothed and flattened stones. These tiles were artfully carved from rubble, found in the northwest part of the island, to take the shapes of various animals. A better look would reveal that some of the tiles have even been carved to resemble the characters of folktales. Interestly enough, most traditional evening story-telling takes place here.
2. The second half of the Tuwaite village is a long walk from the main half but travel between the two is made commonly. Like the southwest part, it has its own trading posts and specialists, but unlike the southwest part, it is slightly smaller and less crowded. Most particularly, it is known being a training ground in various arts. Bamboo fighting, for example, is one of these popular sports, and the only dojo on the island hides in the lush greenery of Tuwaite island's smallest hill.
Finally, the gulf of lesser Tuwaite, has the honor of being one of the two popular swimming spots on the island.
3. This is one of Tuwaite's three gulfs and the calmest out of all of them thanks to a large isle padding the force of ocean waves. Of course, even with the island, it commonly has to be replaced and repaired due to the occasionally wash out. The bridge is made of wood and logs which are tied together with rope made from plant fiber. It simply floats to create a path between the two halves of Tuwaite.
This gulf is the other popular swimming spot on the island.
4. The last of three gulfs is overlooked by a rocky cliff with a single scrawny but beautiful water fall pouring down from it. There are tons of valuable stone rubble here, and it is where the villagers obtain most of the rock to create essential goods from. Another importance of the gulf's rocky cliff is its various caves, which provide shelter during the rare typhoon.
Now unlike the other gulfs, only the clueless or daring swim in the waters. It's rocky and unpleasant, obviously, but the greatest concern is the water's inhabitants. A dangerously poisonous species of fish resides within the gulf. If one is even accidently touched, the fish's deadly spines makes sure that the unlucky fellow finds excruciating agony, tissue damage, and eventually death.
5. On top of Tuwaite island's rocky cliffside is a beautiful little lake. This is the only large body of fresh water on the entire island and it's well known by gatherers. Many rare and beautiful plantlife springs up from around this lake. Flowers, fruit, and healing shrubs of all sort. Not only that, but many tasty fish can be found within its waters. Unfortunately, the climb to this lake a tedious and laborous one. Most only gatherers seeking to be rich are up for the trip.
6. This is Tuwaite's largest and only mountain. Few ever come up to explore, but those who do know that it is an adventure. Caves and tunnels crisscross the innards of the mountain, and many beautiful species of lizards, birds, and even bats can only be found at its heights.

Name: Tuwaite (too-WAH-teh)
Population: Estimated 880
Area: 203.5 sq mi
Terrain: Lush/Mountainous
Climate: Tropical
Orgination: The origination of Tuwaite is, for the most part, unknown. Some villagers claim that the island itself was formed by the gods with all the people, life, and plants on it. Others claim that their ancestors sailed to the island from a distant celestial land to settle. Despite these cultural beliefs however, Scientists theorize that the inhabitants of this island simply came from a mass immigration hundreds of years ago.
People: Not every neopian species known to the world inhabits this island, but there is wide variety. The land consists of the following:
Nimmos, Skeiths, Lennies, Aishas, Chias, Eyries, Flotsam, Jetsam, Lupes, Elephantes, Gelerts, Myncis, Peophins, Acaras, Zafaras, Techos, Moehogs, Kougras, Draiks, and Xweetoks.
Even still, many of the villagers have mutations that seperate them from the mainstream population. For example, about 10 in every 11 Techos have colorful stripes lining their back from nose to tail, and the Kougras tend to have larger ears and fluffier tails. This is a result from generations of transformation magic use. Happy to say, these villagers enjoy long life and good health. Men grow to an average height between 5'2" and 6'1", and women, 4'4" and 5'7".
Clothing: All clothing worn on the island consists of silk or wool, both of which are produced effeciently. However, there are rules for what to wear in each occasion and duty. For one, silk clothing is worn only during the relaxation period after work, and only children of status can wear it because of its delicacy. Wool, on the other hand, are working and direction clothes. It is vital to remember that with wool the color and design are very important. They signify a person's job and intentions.
Food: The Tuwaite diet consists mainly of seafood accompanied by rice, bamboo shoots, and plants found on the island. Don't think the villagers are primitive about this, however. As a matter of fact, most of them combine these ingrediants to create appetizing dishes, unique to the island. A seperation between run-of-the-mill and gourmet food also exists as well.
Shelter: Tuwaite houses are made from the various lightweight but sturdy plants of the island. One of these are bamboo. However, every couple of years, the houses have to be rebuilt. The most common reason for this is the rare but occasional typhoon. In these cases of extreme weather, islanders seek shelter in caves until it passes over. The second reason is simply plain aging.
Because of the labor behind them, most Tuwaite houses are small and square. Their rooms are made simply by paper screens set up throughout the house and there is usually no more than three rooms to a family. They are the eating, food preparation, and sleeping rooms.
Social Classes: There is a ranking system employed within the village which is as follows....
The old and wise are to be treated with upmost respect. Being disrespectful to the old is a sign of ignorance and greatly shunned. Truly, this rule is followed so deeply that even seniors who disrespect the village and commit crimes cannot be looked down on.
It is Elders who run the village and teach younger generations. No other class can obtain these duties. However, even though they may be on the top of the scale, the village elders have no greater wealth or living conditions than the general populace. Once a man reaches his age, he obtains no more than what he already had, except for respect.
Honored
This class consists of those who exhibit highly honored traits beyond their years or above the average skill level. It also contains those who have done something exceptionaly remarkable, like a doctor who had rescued one of the village leaders from a seemingly uncurable disease. In this group, the celestially gifted find their numbers as well. Caslean, for example, was an honored.
The Honored enjoy a luxurious life, full of the finest material possessions and respect. They are often given gifts during holidays.
Working
Finally, the general populace makes up the working class. These people do not have the skills to become an honored, but by having a job or duty to fulfill, they are valuable to community.
Married/Nonworking
Those who are jobless but married to a working spouse are granted importance above those that aren't.
Children
Children, of course, are naive and need to be guided. They are bound to their parents or Shuke(A person with the job to take care of the multiple village orphans).
Jobless
People who don't carry out a job and are without a working spouse to back them up are deemed worthless to the village.
Government: In times of need, the duty of leadership falls upon the nine chosen male elders to meet and make decisions. They are not law-makers, but its they're duty to sheperd the village.
These leaders are never replaced unless they pass away or are found guilty of a major crime. Then it's the village's duty to nominate another elder for the position.
Economy: There is no currency in Tuwaite. Items are traded for items, work is traded for work. Because of this, it is those who are quicker and better skilled at their jobs who become wealthy.
Justice: When put on trial, the prosecuted is judged by the village leaders. Both sides of the story are heard, the arguments are discussed amongst the elders, and a decision is made. In special occasions, such as a crime commited during a festivity, the celestially gifted replace the elders in judgment.
The punishment for a crime can be as light as a small fee to the village, but in cases of major crimes like murder, death is the only answer.

Another treat. Most pages have one award, a petpage award given to the best of petpages. For Caslean however, she has the honor of giving out four rewards. Petpage, application, art, and story.
If you are wondering what the difficulty is about, it is when I finish all my petpage awards for each pet. I don't really get why you should give out different awards for the same amount of effort and ability. That is why each of my pets have differing difficulty levels based on their personality. Caslean isn't a sympathetic rater but she isn't a pushover either, that's why Cas gets the difficulty of medium. Compare that to Seto's extreme difficulty, who is too stuck up to accept anything, and Aria's easy difficulty who just plain likes everybody.
I'm also looking into different rating systems. For example, Dashett may concern over the layout and art more than the content while Caslean obsesses over the music. However, I'm just scratching at the idea because I don't know how hard it'd be for me to rate a page in so many personalities.
Well, now that I have spammed up most of Cas's award section, ONTO THE AWARDS!

Will Cas be dated/fall in love?
She may have crushes for story gear, but no, it isn't going to go farther than the first step. It's not that I'm afraid TNT will get on me about it. It's just that I lived through the whole pet infatuation thing once, and now it just kinds of bores me.

How often will Cas be roleplayed?
I roleplay A LOT. I always have to have one plot going or whatnot, so I'd think fairly often.
What is with this music?
What music?
Anthro or Quad?
In many ways I prefer Anthro for story. Nevertheless, I am not afraid I quad and don't mind quad roleplays. As for art... Caslean's design is too awesome not to draw in quad.
Why Anthro?
Anthro is different. I see mainly quad pets, but for a better reason, I function much better with anthro. I can create idea and interesting characters more easily under the style. I also like having my pets linked, and since they're all generally anthro...
Did anything else inspire you for how Caslean turned out?
The one big thing her design. When I was wondering how to make a cool design from a cloud draik, I was brought back to how one of my best friends drew clouds. I adored them because of how puffy and Asian-looking they were. Be assured, my cloud style is different from hers, but they inspired me immensely. As for the whole DJ thing, I played a game called My Sims and my favorite character on it was this female DJ. As for everything else, that's 100% Keruha.
Heh, that's it. Pretty hard to make up though since I covered everything else.

Still, I never did because through this application, I've gotten really attached to Caslean, her design, her story, and her character. She has become a huge part of me like all my characters and creations, and it feels almost like she has already become part of the family. I couldn't just give up on her and I couldn't simply apply for another draik. Caslean is one of a kind. When making this app, I had Caslean in mind, and it wouldn't be the same with any other pet. I love her name, I love how her cloudy color inspired me to do something I had never thought of before, and I love the ideas she gave me. No other UFA pet has given me what she has.
Now, I will understand if you choose somebody else, and I admit it will hurt me.. A lot. I'd probably emo in a corner of Neopound's rant board for a while, because there's honestly no denying that. Rest assured however, that I will NEVER attack anybody for your decision. And of course, I know with time, I will get over it too. All I can say now is once again, good luck choosing.

Spooki(banryouka) for being awesome and putting up with me... or not. Either way, you're awesome.
All the people at Neopound who gave me critiques, art, and words of encouragement. Let's not forget about the people who joined my Virtual Tour roleplay either!
Rhiow for giving artists a chance to use their skills.
Pippin, Katie, and whoever else for finally taking over the process. XD We wouldn't get anywhere without you.
