The sky was clear, and the land was hot, but it was dry heat, no humidity at all. The tall grasses rolled in the wind, creating a sea of yellow. Tall trees dotted the plain in some areas. Gazelle-like creatures grazed upon this grass, tails swishing side to side nonstop. The young ones pranced and played, before the large herd went into a stampede! You watched from the safety of your Jeep, and you don't believe your eyes! It was a Lupe...but...not.
Her fur was a rich golden yellow, dotted with black spots, like that of a Cheetah. She was a bit skinny, but her legs were muscular, yet sleek and thin, like that of the Cheetah's. Her tail streamed out behind her like a banner, which was not canine, but that of a Cheetah. Her face had the same markings of the feline, her maw opened to reveal glistening fangs. Paws pounding upon the earth, she gained upon an old doe. Leaping, she pounced upon the smaller animal, ending its' life quick and painless. Turning her gaze upon you, she blinked, as if surprised to actually see you there.
With a snort, she grabbed her prey and went over to you. Dropping her meal upon the car hood, she lept up and lied down, looking at you sqaurely in the eye. "Hallo hallo. Welcome to the barren lands known as my home. Shall I tell you my story of my life? No? Fine with me. I wish not to speak of it to some stranger anyways." She said, laughing to herself, bloodied fangs shining in the harsh rays of the sun. Then, without another word, she turned and began to eat her kill.
