Huzzahhh! Welcome to FCF's webbie! If you'd like to know about current events, read through our list of rules and regulations, or even learn about our activities and members, then this is your place! If a question you have is not answered here, why not check out our FAQ?

Neo-related. Literate. Private. That's the way that many contemporaries of Fickle Cranberry Feathers describe themselves. While FCF does stay true to those same three criteria, we do not limit ourselves to them. Only from the members themselves can you find the 'real' definitions that describe FCF. While our definition might change--we still hold true to the core values that we were founded upon. Creating and maintaining a community that is both friendly and fun. Our members make our guild what it is, and we are proud of it.

More Activities Guild Podcast: The FCF podcast focuses on Neopian, FCF, and general news. In addition to that, music and media reviews are also included. If you would like to offer your vocal or technical talents to the podcast, just contact Kayla!

Screenie Page: Want to see what FCF's really about behind-the-scenes? Or did you miss that hot-topic, hilarious moment on the guild boards and still want to see it live? Kayla has put together a wonderful selection of FCF's favourite moments, so please – have a laugh and learn what FCF's like from day to day, here! (Info here.)

Adopt an Activity: Want to help out the guild, but aren't sure how? You could always run an activity yourself! Neomail Sarah if you have an idea or would like for her to suggest some to you!

Events
Dress-Up Days: Dress-Up days are a fun, but optional, guild activity. At times, one of the council will announce a themed day and a theme (ex. winter, evil, food, etc), and on that day you'll have to change your font/avatar/or even lookup to that theme. It may go on for a single day to three days, depending on the council's choice.

Themed Days: Themed Days are like dress-up days, however instead of dressing up your appearance, you dress up your personality! :P For one day strictly (for the sanity of us all xD) every two weeks the council will announce a theme, like 'Pirates', 'Brandon' (or other guild member if we're feeling evil enough :P), or 'n00b'. For that whole day, everyone will try to talk like that whenever on guild boards or in guild activities. See who can last the longest and keep up the best impressions!

Game Nights: At a various day once a month, FCF is going to have a games night. This might include Trivia, Avatar Survivor, or the infamous Wal-Mart Game! Click here for the games and how to play. New games will be added as more are adopted!

Teams, Civil Wars, etc.: FCF will have a permanent team system, and this is how ranks will be determined: Upon entering the guild, each member will be able to choose which team they'd like to be on, and will be appropriated this rank. However, only during a civil war (specified dates will be set down later on), will the team members have to earn points for themselves. On top of this, the council will invent a few twists when they feel the urge to. More precise details on teams will come when they are set up.

Projects FCF Radioplay: Do you feel that you have some acting skills, but just no where to show them off? Well the guild radioplay might be for you. This all audio play will be hosted over the guild podcast, and will feature a full script and plot line for you to be apart of. If you think you might be interested, just contact Will!

FCF Idol: FCF Idol isn't really know for talent, but the second season is back and ready to roll! Please contact Kayla for more information. If you have ideas for events or projects around the guild, neomail Sarah or Kayla! Suggestions are more than welcome, but please don't be offended if they aren't used. We have good reasons for choosing the activities that we do.
Committees The council members can't handle everything around the guild, and not all member that want to help can handle council. Committees are a great way to help out the guild. There are committees for every talent that you have! Please see this page for more information!

Advertising Advertising is a huge part of a guild, right? If you advertise wrong, you end up with a bad impression for your guild and no new members. If you advertise too much, you'll end up with a guild gushing with unsatisfied people. The first thing to advertising is to get our image right. We're a literate guild. If you're using chatspeak, we're going to get a completely awful image and the Cranberry Committee will have a whole lot of nubs to turn down. Please be respectful to all prospective members as well. Also, make sure to read the first post!. If the member doesn't want our type of guild, then ignore it and move on. Maybe even say good luck! If a member is interested, please be sure to include a bit about the guild and the links to the portal, first encounter, and FAQ. We prefer paragraph style advertisements over list ads, but you can choose what to use. Then, stay and chat! Believe me, it helps. Personalization also helps.

Posting banners, using guild look-ups, and having buttons are also great ways to spread the word about FCF. But, please make sure these represent FCF well. We do not support rule-breaking, inappropriate images, or the like, so please be respectful.
Council & Subcouncil The current leaders/council members of FCF are Sarah (coolkatzwer) and Kayla (chica471).

In FCF, these positions have to be earned. They cannot be bought, nor are they given out lightly. We ask you to respect the leaders of the guild, and they will respect you. Any decisions they make are as good as law around FCF, and if you have a complaint, you should neomail Wins or one of the leaders.

At the moment, the council is accepting applications. Please read the rules regarding applications and follow them!

Subcouncil is currently not accepting applications, as the guild grows, please watch for it!

Rules Of course we need rules to keep our members happy and safe, and although they're pretty simple, violating them will have consequences.

1. Be literate! Imagine that! If you have to be literate for your interview, I imagine you'd have to be literate within the guild too. This means no chatspeak or excessively repeated spelling and grammar mistakes, capitalizing proper nouns and the first letter of every sentence, and using appropriate punctuation such as periods and commas when they apply. We don't mind the occasional typo or common abbreviation (such as "brb" or "gtg").

2. No spam. It's just icky. Spam means: Short, Pointless, Annoying Messages. Try to condense a few posts into one, if you can, and avoid asking if anyone's online whenever you get to the guild message boards. Instead, try to think up something to tell us all when you first get to the boards, such as how your day went, a funny joke you heard, etc. Every post should be at least two complete sentences long, and we ask that you don'tquote" people on the boards because we don't want to read everything twice. Direct your comments to a specific person, or make it clear what you're talking about. It just makes the conversation much more fun to follow. Now, we realize that this is a little vague, so here are some examples of what we don't want to see.
- "Hi!" or "Bye!" (Like we said before, put something interesting in there!)
- "Is anyone on right now?" Next post: "Guess not, bye!
- "What are we talking about?" (Read back to at least the end of the first page to find out! Only ask if you're very confused and have already read the whole conversation.)
- "Haha!" or "xD That's funny!" etc.
- Just a smiley face.
- Repeating the same thing over and over, whether it's with different words or not. Double posts are understandable, but not deliberate repetition. Also, please don't take an entire post to apologize for a double post; say something else too, otherwise it's just as annoying as that double post in the first place.

3. Be courteous. Don't insult people, don't swear, etc. Simple stuff.

4. This one's big: If you have an issue with another member of the guild, take it to a council or subcouncil member! DO NOT fight on the guild message boards, or we'll have to bring the 1337 Grundo Squad in. (xD)

5. Be active. We're not asking you to be on every day, oh no! But we will periodically delete inactive members, that is, members who have not been seen within the guild for three weeks to a month. If you plan on being gone for longer than that and will come back, neomail one of the leaders so that they don't delete you.

6. Don't join on more than one account. There's no reason to have two accounts in the guild other than to get extra benefits for yourself, and we won't allow that.

7. All of Neopets' rules apply within the guild. This should go without saying, but sometimes we all need a little reminder.

Now for the consequences, and even though this part is icky, you should know that the leaders have a plan for such times if they arise.
i. If it's a truly serious offense, whether it's the member's first offense or not, the member will be blocked from the guild permanently. Offenses that will warrant this response include (but are not limited to) scamming and theft of artwork, coding, etc.
ii. For mild offenses (use of awful chatspeak, mild language, etc.) the member will be allowed two warnings. A third breach of the rules will result in being suspended for an appropriate length of time at the discretion of the council members.
iii. Offenses committed after a suspension will result in deletion from the guild; we're pretty forgiving, but if you've pushed us to the point of having to suspend you and you break the rules again, obviously this isn't the guild for you.
iv. Only in special cases will we allow a former member who was deleted back into the guild, and we mean special cases. If you were deleted, don't beg for another chance unless you were deleted because of inactivity, please.
Please remember that this is a guideline for council and subcouncil members, and this is on the webbie so that members have an idea of how this should work. If special circumstances arise, however, different methods may be used.
Miscellaneous Donating: We do not, by any means, believe that you must donate to the guild. Therefore, there will be no incentives given to promote donations. However, we realize that since some members do like to give to the guild (for whatever reason), we've set up a bank account and guild shop on the guild account (1337grundosquad) for such circumstances. The NP will be used towards items necessary for some of the activities as well as saving for more expensive avatar items to be lent to guild members.

Guild Account: 1337grundosquad is currently the ONE and ONLY guild account. It is on the FCF member list, but if anyone ever neomails you on an account other than this and claims to be FCF's guild account, it's a fake and you should report it to one of the leaders promptly.
