This site is here to help visitors like yourself with information about Super Sales, a pretty nifty thing that happens over at the NC Mall. Super Sale FAQ

What is a Super Sale?
- A Super Sale is when TNT takes items out of the mall that have been sitting around for a while and retires them, never to be re-released. There are two exceptions to this. The Greenhouse Background was re-released in the Spring Watering Can Mystery Capsule, and the Camping Backpack had been regularly retired, but brought back for the Super Sale. When an item enters the Super Sale shop, its original price is reduced and once it retires, it's gone for good.

What is sold in the Super Sale Shop?
- It appears that anything is fair game. Everything from backgrounds to trinkets to clothes have appeared, and some Neohome items as well.

Where can I find the Super Sale Shop?
- If you go to the NC Mall, it should be in the links along the top, labeled "Super Sale." This shop is not always there as there are not always Super Sales going on.

When is the Super Sale?
- Most Super Sales tend to occur in the early fall and mid-winter. The first Super Sale ended on November 20, 2008. 14 backgrounds were retired and have since become very difficult to find.

Yay! I have some of these! How rare is my Super Sale item?
- It depends on when the item retired. The majority of items that retired before January 2009 are relatively difficult to find. As of writing, most of the 11/20/2008 backgrounds trade for a bare minimum of 20-25 caps or the equivalent. The reason for this is that when the NC Mall first came out, mystery capsules weren't as popular as they are today, so people only bought what they wanted. The items also originally were set to expire, so people didn't want to waste their money on things that might not be around for very long. TNT changed their mind in regards to that, luckily. Another possible explanation for the rarity of older items is that gift boxes didn't exist until almost a year after the NC Mall opened, so again, you only bought what you wanted, not some weird trinket like a Professional Mining Helmet. Who knew?

But wait! This/that/the other thing wasn't a Super Sale item!
- That could entirely be possible. There's a lot of fuzziness surrounding the first few Super Sales, so nobody knows for certain. If you have information in your Buying Log, available on the side of the NC Mall in the yellow box, please let me know via neomail.

Super Sale Fun Facts

- The Camping Backpack retired in the Summer Shop on 2009-09-09. But a few weeks later, TNT re-released it in the Super Sale.

- In the 8/31/2009 batch of Backgrounds, the 8 backgrounds originally included Gypsy Camp Background and one other one (currently unknown, maybe you know?), but since those 2 backgrounds were available in Superpacks, TNT switched them out and replaced them with 2 other backgrounds. This all took place on the first day of that batch.
