Welcome New Crew Member!

So, you have just joined the crew of Odyssey , the toughest ship in these seas. So, as a new member, what should you do? Here is a cheat sheet list. See the headings below to see explanations, how-tos, and valuable information for you, the newest crew member!:

After you join, post and introduce yourself!

Posting on the boards is how we know you are still involved in the guild, but you don't need to do it everyday. Still, since we love to chat, the FIRST thing you should do, if you haven't done so already, is introduce yourself. Say something like,Hi! I'm (what we can call you here)! (Name of member who got you interested) brought me here! Nice to meet you all! I like (interests/hobbies/likes). Then, continue looking at this page for more help. You can ask for help on the boards, but most members will direct you here or the webbie.

Neomail Ava

If Ava (avinia) greeted you on the boards, there may not be a real need to neomail her, but do it anyway. She is the leader, and should know you joined. Tell her how you found the guild and ask her any questions! She loves the guild and would love to chat you just you if you need it!

Read the Webbie

This is a practice you should get used to as a member of Odyssey. The webbie does not change all the time, but it does every once in a while, and sometimes you just plain forget everything. Reread it every once in a while, but start with reading all of it when you join. Many questions you have can be answered there. If you still have questions, do not hesitate to neomail Ava or any other guild member. They can probably help you out!

Check the guild portal

There are links to the portal everywhere. Use one and check out the portal and all it has to offer. That is where you can see what the guild has for you to participate in, or what it does not have that you can help us create! This is your chance! Look and see if there is something for you here.

Enable Guild Mail

Go to your neomail settings and check the guild mail slot. Ava may need to send out a mass mailing to all the members. Enabling guild mail will allow you to receive this mailer and keep in touch with what the guild has to offer! Keeping up with the changing guild is the best way to stay active and involved.

Put your Birthday on the Calendar

We want to know when your special day is! Write it in! If for some reason you cannot access it, neomail your birthday to Ava, and she can enter it in for you. We will make sure your birthday is a happy day.

Submit your form to the Crew Logbook

The yearbook is how we get to know our members! When you are sure you wish to stay, go to the yearbook,or Crew Log Book as we call it on the high seas! Then copy and neomail the completed form to the Logbook editor. Then you have been officially recorded as a crew member!

Get Involved!

Start getting involved! Chat and get to know other members. Participate in the magazine, plot or activities. Even come up with your own ideas and apply to make a page! The possibilities are ENDLESS with Odyssey!.
