Of Gerap & Tiku;

How's the weather? You can always tell what the weather will be like in Geraptiku. Before the rain falls, the creatures crawl out. When the sun shines, the plants shiver and bloom. In times of thunder and lightning, the air is stale and piercing with every breath. To the hundreds of visitors who unknowingly walk into these treacherous lands in search for treasure... the weather is murky, cloudy, and foggy with a sense of dead. Of course, we can't expect foreigners to know anything at all when they arrive. We can only hope that they leave taking a piece of sacred wisdom from these glorious lands... and not in the form of treasure, mind you.

Visiting hours are open. Upon its discovery, Geraptiku stirred a wave of curiosity from scientists and citizens alike from all over the Neopian globe. As time went by, strangers would come pouring into these abandoned and supposedly cursed lands. Warnings from the local Islanders weren't enough to fend off the boat-loads of tourists curious about the myths, spirits, and most importantly, treasure that potentially lay inside the forbidden tombs. The locals were divided in the sudden popularity that the cursed ruins were bringing. Some believed that it'd lead to an influx of settlers and open up a new pandora's box of curses that would doom the entire island. Others believed that the flood of treasure-thirsty new travelers meant an alternative resource for neopoints. The ones with $ in their eyes began setting up guides who volunteered to give a tour to those willing to pay the price. As these tours went on, the tour guides became increasingly fanatical in order to raise the spirits of the unknowing foreigners. Every tour promised chances of treasure, a spirit spotting, or ancient Geraptiku voo-doo magic. How they set up these gags were beyond the locals, but it was surprising to see how easily the ignorant masses fell into such hoaxes. To this day, the number of visitors increase by the hundreds. At this rate, whose to say the same powers that destroyed these lands won't do the same again?

People of an ancient kind. Geraptiku may have been destroyed at one point in history, but that is not to say that its people no longer exist. Remnants from its time abandoned its deathly region and spread out amongst the islanders in various parts of the Island. These natives were once easy to spot due to their unique garbs and intricate markings. In addition to their slightly odd appearance, a few of the natives actively produced a curious glow. The natives called this glow Gerap-Tiku (respectively in the name of the region they were from) and it was a type of aura that surrounded an individual based upon their spirit level. Gerap was dead aura generally associated with beings that had high spirit levels like the dead (but weren't necessarily dead) while Tiku was living aura that was translucent and associated with those who had little or faint spirit levels. Gerap was often colored bright hues of blue or white and Tiku was often translucent, nearly invisible. Originally, there were an equal number of natives with Gerap and Tiku, but due to Gerap's radiating visibility many natives chose to disguise their aura into Tiku or none at all. As of now, it is rare to find an individual of Geraptiku descent who still carries the vivid aura of Gerap. However, when the ancient tombs were once again opened to the world, one such individual came into view. Back to top?

Hair: Faiole's hair is most prominent in her anthro form, but it can carry into her quad form. Despite this, it is alright to draw a little tuft of hair for simplifying purposes. Often, Faiole will not style her hair so, it is naturally messy and hangs down in a dead-like fashion. A simple purple headband does the trick in her opinion.

Pink body tones: The pink on her belly, muzzle, and limbs, are interesting in that they reach up in certain places like the chest, belly, and tail. They do not complete a circle, but more of a semi-circle across the bottom of her torso. Faiole's skin often feels clammy, possibly sweaty, or awkwardly pale.

Purple markings: On her snout, above her joints, and across her back are little purple stripes. These stripes are blunt and have a more rough texture than her pink, clammy skin. The purple stripes match Faiole's purple paws and hair as well.

Grey specks: On her wings and ears are tiny Draik freckles which are dispersed evenly through the surface. Her wings and ears are made of a texture that is resistant to severe wet weather patterns (not sensitive to wind or rain). However, because they are so thin Faiole often gets sunburned in these areas as well as on her pink flesh.

Quite frankly;

[Unpredictable][Ghostly][Sincere][Dignified][Thoughtful]

1. Faiole has always been a slightly odd child. Her mannerisms were often unpredictable and did not follow a cohesive patterns. She likes it that way. She likes things to follow in a non-orderly manner. It's exciting, she says.
2. A part of Faiole's obscurity is also due to her waning appearance. Despite her seemingly lively pink color Faiole often has pale features with skin that is always cold to the touch. There is also an odd fluorescent blue aura often surrounding her when she's excited or gloomy. In personality and appearance, people often question if the poor girl likes to mimic the roaming dead.
3. Despite her seemingly ghostly manners and appearance, she is a kind-hearted and sincere young draik. Whenever you ask of her help Faiole never fails to try her best in anyway possible. She is the type that will listen to your troubles, ponder over them beyond however long you've been pondering, and reply back to you on any given day with her most sincerest thoughts.
4. Everything Faiole does, she does in a manner which she presumes is respectable. Faiole is a young lady who likes to carry herself proudly and reasons every action with proper contemplation.
5. Faiole is a girl with many, many thoughts. A conversation with her is similar to skipping rocks with gigantic intervals between each skip. It's easy to get lost in all her randomosity, but each question she asks she makes sure is a thoughtful question. So thoughtful that most adults Faiole speaks to often rebuke her as a nosy child (for being overly inquisitive as if such a thing could exist) and most children do not bother to talk to her at all. Because of this, Faiole is often alone without anyone to express her endless thoughts to...

Faiole's favorite place to be is lying on the treetops of the forbidden jungles. On certain nights when the air is breezy and the sky is rippled with stars, Faiole climbs up to catch a little moonlight and oversee the scenery across the landscape. It's like a sanctuary at the core of nature's beauty and it's not likely Faiole would want to come down until the sun rises.
