Welcome To My Glitter Guide.
I would like to thank Angel for helping me learn how to make glitters and now I want to help others. Ok well, first of all you choose an image which you want to glitter, for this tutorial I am going to use the little annoying robot that appears when they "can't find" any pets in the pound. So here is the image before hand;
Now, open Paint shop pro. And paste the image three times like this;
Now you have to fill the background with a colour which isn't in the image. So go to the flood fill icon and then to the material swatches, a good colour to choose is usually the lime green or bright pink. When you first click it you will see that one of the overlapping squares is filled with that colour. you then need to press the little arrow pointing to both of them and press the colour again. Then fill each images backgrounds.
You are now ready to start the glittering process, click the magic wand tool and click the area you want to glitter. Then go to Adjust- Add/Remove Noise- Add Noise and then choose how much noise you want to add by changing the percentage, I usually use around 70%, also make sure the Monochrome box is checked. Do this for all three images.
Now to make the backgrounds transparent. Go to Image- Pallete- Set Image Transparency and check the second one down and press ok. Screen shot below.
Also repeat this for all three of your images.Now save them all seperatley. I usually name mine something like; Robot1, Robot2 and Robot3. IMPORTANT; MAKE SURE YOU SAVE YOUR IMAGES AS .GIF FILES!! Now you open up Microsoft GIF Animator. and insert the pictures. Then click the animation tab and check the looping and repeat forever boxes.
Then click the Image tab and change the duration number, I usually choose between 10-15.
You then save them all by pressing the save as button. [Please excuse the Rey Mysterio image xD it is a glitter I made for my brother.] Now upload it to photobucket or another image uploader and.. ta-da! Ratings
