1. Tron's Limit in Kingdom Hearts 2 (lolz)
2. Works in IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, AND Opera
3. The name of my site...
4. And now with a complete overhaul because my petpage designs are hideous. =)

Hello, and welcome to Complete Compilement! I'm Onyx, the owner of this site. Complete Compilement is a listing of all of the rules on Neopets, complete with editorial links and other guides related to those rules. Feel free to neomail me if you have any questions, or would like to point out any errors or misleading information in this guide.

Also, an important note before you go on: Using Ctrl + F will help you find the editorial issues and/or the correct question faster, provided that you use the keywords I have listed under the editorial archives link in every section.

If you wanna leave at any time, please come back to the home page...

Persistent and unwanted behaviour by one or more people towards another person or group of people. (And to this definition, I give credit to the HCers) To put it simply, it's like your little sibling that won't leave you alone even though you told them to stop. I would also like to add that going to neomail someone from a side when they have blocked your main is also harassment. It's definitely against the rules, however, there are some things that are rude, but not actually considered harassment.

Sending junk items like crazy to someone that crossed you/made you upset (dung, for example) is also harassment. If you have been blocked from mailing someone for whatever reason, it is best not to hop on a side to mail them, because that is considered harassment and you can be reported for it.

Against the Rules? YES!

Pet trading is pretty much trading one pet for one pet. A custom is like this: BFly offers an Island Custom for Buggabugga's Maractite Aisha. BFly creates a pet (species and name of Buggabugga's choice) and paints it Island. They wait for the pet to age, and BFly exchanges his island custom for Buggabugga's Maractite Aisha. Oh, and also:

Against the Rules? NO! However, there are some things you can't do, like include items or neopoints in the trade, and a petpet should not have any say in the pet's value as well.

Usually tricking someone into believing that an item does more than what it actually does. For instance, say BFly has an Icy Snowflake. He claims that if you feed it to a Grarrl or Skeith, it will turn Ice. Buggabugga believes this, and buys the item and feeds it to his Grarrl. It does nothing, and now Buggabugga is sad. =( That's one form of scamming. It's basically a dishonest scheme, and there is always a victim left with less than what he/she had.

The Magma pool is located in Moltara, a relatively new world that was mentioned in the Atlas of the Ancients plot. There, you can paint your pet Magma, but you have to find your two 5-minute time frames. They're usually back to back, making one 10-minute time frame. Either you can refresh or visit the page randomly, but he must be asleep in order for you to paint your pet Magma. However, some users have been lucky enough to automatically be accepted by the guard, but nobody knows how as of currently. By the way, you can only once a week.

The Lab Ray is a place where you can zap your pets into any color
except for Royal, Usuki, Quiguki, Plushie, Baby, Pirate, or an Ice Bori.

It also cannot upgrade your pet's intelligence level, do anything to their petpet (but the Petpet Lab can!), or take away their max hit points.

The lab-exclusive colors (meaning colors that you can only get from the lab ray) are
Alien, Chocolate, Clay, Coconut, Custard, Garlic, Ice, Jelly, Mallow, MSP, Robot, Snot, Sponge, and 8-bit.

You can also acquire or lose stats from the lab ray, a species change (and the pet will always change to a basic color), gender changes, or get nothing at all. You need to gather all nine pieces of the Secret Laboratory Map and assemble them (BTW, this is a pricing guide). You can assemble the PetPet Laboratory Map once you've finished the Secret Lab Map.

Also, it is perfectly fine to redeem the lab ray on a side account, regardless of the fact that you earn 10k (10,000nps) from it. It is confirmed by TNT in Editorial Issue 311 Question #9. You should also note that you cannot lab someone else's pet for any reason.

You may have up to 1 main and 4 sides, which is a total of 5 active accounts on one email. If you self-freeze one or TNT ices one of your accounts for whatever reason, you may create another one on a different email, because the iced ones will still count towards your five max accounts per email. By the way, this is a very good and accurate guide to what you can and cannot do on a side account, so be sure to read up.

Neopets has a bunch of fun contests you can enter if you're feeling creative.

The contests that can earn you a nice trophy are the
Customisation Spotlight, Beauty Contest, Pirate Caves Spotlight, Petpet Spotlight, Neohomes Spotlight, The Neopian Book Award, Gourmet Club, and the User Lookup of the Week.

The contests that can earn you some neopoints and/or items and/or trophies and/or even avvies are the
Mystery Picture Competition, Lenny Conundrum, Better Than You, Neopets Caption Competition, Petpet Protection League, Gallery Spotlight, and the Totally Awesome and Completely Random Contest.

Contests hosted by Neopets are fine obviously, but any contest held by a user that rewards neopoints and/or items is not allowed. However, it is perfectly fine to give people graphics as a prize.

KeyQuest is a fun, exciting board game on Neopets where you can play with up to two to four players. You have to collect 2 to 5 keys (depending on which amount you choose) and race to the goal before the other person. I personally recommend a 2-player 5-key game because you will be able to win a silver or gold key, and both can provide you with good prizes. However, you risk losing your prizes if someone decides to quit midway because either the person is a sore loser or their computer is unable to handle KeyQuest (and yes, it can happen when you are close to winning. Stop whining).

I should also mention that if you are known to quit frequently, the indicators (the little faces that show up next to people's usernames) will show it, with green meaning that you are highly unlikely to quit often/end up getting booted off the game due to computer problems, and red showing that you do quit often/leave unexpectedly. Skipping your turn to avoid a bad power-up or quitting before someone wins is against the rules and can get you in trouble if you make it into a habit.

The key to creating a successful shop is to have some good Easy To Sell, or ETS items in stock such as codestones, the cheaper paintbrushes, lab map pieces, dubloons, neggs, and others and to have them all under the lowest Shop Wizard price. It's best not to have a huge shop stocked with loads of items, or else it will be hard to price all of your items.

Inflation is pretty much the increase of the price on an item. Natural inflation is fine (like with the Faerie Paint Brush being retired from the Hidden Tower and becoming more rare), but intentional inflation as explained in these editorials is not okay, especially if you're scheming with others to mass inflate an item.

*The bolded editorial issue gives a better explanation on false inflation.

Begging is asking for an item and/or neopoints on a board. It doesn't matter whether or not you ask nicely; it's against the rules either way, so I'd suggest not even bringing that lame excuse up. You also can't beg people through neomail, or really anywhere on the site. "Stop begging and earn your own stuff!" is what the HC would say to that, so to save yourself the trouble, earn your own stuff.

There are dozens of avatars to collect on Neopets. Some people like to collect them, and some really don't care for them. Having a bunch of avatars (especially expensive ones such as SuAP/Super Attack Pea, FQD/Faerie Queen Doll, MSPP/Malevolent Sentient Poogle Plushie, etc.) and collateral (neopoints and/or items that are equal or almost equal to the value of the item you're being lent.

Collateral is just a way of making sure that the lender is not losing out financially in the event that the item is not returned (and you should return it). Collat also seems to go a long way when you're looking to be lent. You can change your avatar from your board preferences.

Item/neopoint pooling is basically giving neopoints to one person for a specific item that everyone involved intends to share. For instance, say that BFly, Buggabugga, and Rockio want the FQD (Faerie Queen Doll). Since Rockio is the most trustworthy person, BFly and Buggabugga give him some of their money so that he can buy the FQD. He does, and they all decide to share it. This is against the rules/against the "spirit" of the rules.

DON'T TALK ABOUT THESE. JUST DON'T, OKAY? Sorry for the outburst, but seriously, don't talk about religion or politics on Neopets. Oh, and according to the editorials, mythology is not considered religion so it is free to discuss, and politics does in fact include the army and wars and such. Besides, there are plenty of other sites that will allow you to freely discuss things like this, so take it to those sites, or even to any sensible coworkers or friends; just not Neopets.

The Trading Post is a place to trade your items with other people that are priced at 100k or more. Please note that you can only bid a maximum of 800k on a lot, and for items over that amount you can neomail the owner to set up an auction or offer ETS (Easy to Sell) items that are equal to the price of the item, such as codestones, dubloons, neggs, etc. If you want, you can also offer a single item, but you MUST have an item in your inventory in order to make an offer.

*Note: Offering 100nps when someone's wishlist says 100k (or even 100,000) can be seen as scamming, especially when done frequently.

Cheating is wrong. It just is. Seriously, Neopets is just A GAME. It's really sad that you have to cheat your way to the top in an extremely easy game. Ever head of that guy who started out with a paper clip and traded up until he got a house? Well, that's where this comes from. Paper clip trading on Neopets is basically trading a low-valued item (take a Pile of Dung for example) all the way up to something super expensive, like a Draik Egg or something. As a fellow Neopian, I'm pretty sure you know all about the deadly glitches that occur on Neopets. There are lots of glitches in the systems frequently, and everybody hates them. However, there are some glitches that people like, and those people try to repeatedly exploit the glitch to earn more neopoints, more rare items, and other things. This is definitely not allowed, and you do risk being frozen (yes, frozen).

If you DO discover a glitch on Neopets, then send a ticket to TNT to let them know about it. If the glitch has given you neopoints or items, then it's best not to use or spend them, and instead to leave them alone.

BOOGITY BOO! Hahaha
Cookie Grabbing
First of all, cookies are text files that are stored in your computer by websites such as Neopets. Think of them as your most favorite cookie (Oreo) stored in the snack cabinet. Now imagine me taking these Oreos and eating them. Why did I do that? Well, I'm a cookie grabber. Oh, and I'm hungry. :3 Nom nom nom...

A cookie grabber is a malicious piece of coding that steals these cookies. They duplicate the info that your Neopets cookie uses and uses that to log into your account. You are at risk of getting CGed on ANY site, not just Neopets. However, Neopets has a lot of user-edited places, such as shops, galleries, user lookups, and pet pages, and CG coding can be stored on those. If you're really super paranoid, then just don't click on any links you think are suspicious...or go outside (*snicker*). Don't visit suspicious offsite links listed on petpages or the boards either; those could be CGers too. You shouldn't be overcome with paranoia at the thought of this, though. It's fine to be wary, but to spread false panic about a possible CGer is just stupid and pathetic.

If you believe you've been CGed, go to Neopets, log out and close your tabs. Log back in and change your special word, and add PINs if you haven't already.

How do I protect myself? A good way to protect yourself is to download Firefoxand add the NoScript and RequestPolicy add-ons. If you can't do that, you should invest in some good antivirus protection, such as Avast and Norton. Also set up a PIN on your account, and put one on everything. If you lose it, please note that you can have it sent to the e-mail associated with your account. PINs are not stored as cookies, so they cannot be stolen if your account is CGed.

I would like to recommend guides one, two, and three to read. Please note that none of those guides have been updated in ages, but those are the best ones I could find. If you know of any recently updated ones with ACCURATE INFORMATION, send me a neomail and I will add it to this.

Unregistering
Someone made this did have a guide, but it's gone now. Apparently it's another way to take accounts, and there have been some people that have lost their accounts this way. Basically, your email can get deleted depending on the email provider you use, and someone can recreate that email, therefore retrieving your important account information. Read the info on the guide, and be sure to check your email often so that it doesn't get deleted.

How do I protect myself? Just be sure to log into your email often enough.

Cracking
Cracking is a long process of trying to figure out your account's secret word. The person tries to get to know you, and will then use those things they found out and try different combinations, hoping to get into your account.

How do I protect myself? Have a super complicated word. Go crazy with uppercase and lowercase letters and numbers. Don't make it too short or too simple. Things only YOU know and you would never tell a stranger.

Non-Private Facebook Account
Someone said this on the boards, and I thought I'd like to put it here. If your account on FB is not set to private, then it's possible that everyone can see your email too, especially if you posted your username on the Neopets page there. Basically, you just gave someone the means to crack you by doing those two simple things.

How do I protect myself? Have your account set to private, or at least keep your email from being viewed by the public.
So, you may have been wandering around the boards and noticed some things that are pretty cruel, like Chia or Kacheek Flour being thrown on a rare UC, and everybody laughing, or even someone using a Turnip Tonic on their poor, expensively-colored Draik, thinking it would cure them of their disease. If you'd hate be a victim, then I suggest you read up.

This and this are two guides that I recommended reading.

Chia/Kacheek Flour: Chia Flour is an expensive Battledome item that has the ability to turn your pet into a hideous yellow Chia, and the effects will remain even after the battle is over. Yes, you read that right. Kacheek Flour is the same thing, but this turns your pet into a dorky Kacheek. You may look up the prices of it first, and wonder why people would do this. Well, there are some cruel people out there that do it for laughs (admittedly, I find it funny). If you have a pet that you don't want to turn into a Chia or Kacheek, then I suggest not battling with it, or battle with someone reliable.

Turnip Tonic: This disgusting vile was given to those with expensively-painted sick pets, and the people claimed that it would heal your pet. WRONG; it's not a cure. It turns your pet into a basic color (which are blue, green, red, and yellow). If your pet is sick, you can go to the Healing Springs every thirty minutes for free until your pet is cured (she won't heal your pets right away, so it takes a couple of tries). Or you can spend possibly hundreds of thousands of neopoints on a cure. Check out this guide if you want to take the more expensive but quicker alternative.
I realized that I used some words in this guide that some people may not be familiar with (or chose to ignore/doesn't know what context clues are)

Score Sender: A type of program that sends scores in games, possibly even enough to get a trophy.

ETS: Easy to Sell. Items such as codestones, dubloons, paint brushes, and neggs would be in this category. I might as well explain HTS, Hard to Sell, items too, which are items such as toys, plushies, and TCG cards.

MSPP: Malevolent Sentient Poogle Plushie. Not only is it a pet, it is a TCG, which also goes by the same name. This is the item. To get the avatar you must have it in your inventory.

FQD: Faerie Queen Doll. You can buy it from the Hidden Tower, where you can get the Fyora - Faerie Queen avatar. It's cheaper at the Trading Post though. By playing with the Faerie Queen Doll, you can obtain this avatar. It looks just like this (AND ONLY USE THIS ONE TO GET THE AVVIE; THE SUPREME DELUXE FAERIE QUEEN DOLL AND REJECT FAERIE QUEEN DOLL DO NOT AWARD THIS AVVIE) right here.

SuAP: Super Attack Pea. It's a BD (Battledome) item. To get the cutesy avatar equip it to a Pea Chia. Just look at how cute it is!

Collateral: Neopoints and/or items that are equal or almost equal to the value/price of the item you're being lent. This is just to make sure that the lender is not losing out financially in the event that the item is not returned...and you should return it...unless you really don't want your account.

FFQ: Fountain Faerie Quest. This special quest will gain you access to the Rainbow Fountain in Faerieland, where you can paint your pets for free. She only asks for items that are Rarity 94 and up, so don't be fooled by people looking for attention. Also, please note that she can paint your pet any color it comes in EXCEPT for 8-bit, Ice, Magma, MSP, Robot, Royal, Sponge, Quiguki and Usuki. You also get an avatar if you paint a Buzz at the Rainbow Fountain. You can paint absolutely any pet you own, or even create a brand new pet to paint with it.

Shell Account: Usually an aged account that has no real stats to them. This can include no painted/trained pets, no stamps, trophies, avatars, etc. There are young shell accounts too. Shell accounts are normally used for ABing (auto buying) or scamming others out of their items, or any other disallowed activities. Editorial Issue 528 Question #5 can confirm this.

ABing: Auto Buying. This is the act of using a program that buys from shops for you.
From time to time on the boards, there are locked topics that are marked with a lock next to the title. The posts are highlighted in red, and all usernames will be removed. Also, you will no longer be able to post. At the top of the original post, there is a section above it that reads *** THIS TOPIC HAS BEEN LOCKED! *** in red and the mods explain exactly what is against the rules. You might not see them often, since we're supposed to know every rule in existence on Neopets even though half of them aren't posted, but when you do, read the messages and keep them in mind.

Below are screenies of some of these locked topics. Drag them to your address bar to see them in all their glory.
