Personality
Blossom's a happy-go-lucky girl who enjoys living life to the fullest and thinks only of the present. Her limited frame of reference contributes to her foolishness and lack of foresight, but it also makes her kindly forgiving of past wrongs. To this lighthearted friendly girl every stranger is just a friend she hasn't met yet. As a result she sanguinely seeks out and treasures the best in people while turning a blind eye to their faults.
Blossom is extremely outgoing and friendly. She has many friends because she's highly affectionate and bestows her trust and compassion easily. She's also a sincere innocent who never suspects deceit because it is a trait that she does not herself posess.
Everything about her from her thoughts to her words to her actions is completely unchecked and natural and as a result-childish. Blossom's chatty because she doesn't filter her speech, and she's equally expressive of her emotions. Compassion for the plight of others can cause her to cry, even a bad joke will call forth bursts of laughter, and a kind person can easily gain her affection.
Not even embarassment can stem Blossom's free-flowing spirits and she is not afraid to be herself even if that means being different from those around her. Like any spoiled youngest child she's very playful and mischievous, but she's also obedient to the wishes of her friends and family. It's not hard to frighten Blossom, and since she's too gentle and battle clueless to even defend herself she must rely on others for protection.

Blossom's a native of the lovely but sparesly populated countryside realm of Nectarine.
Geography
The terrain of this sleepy realm is vast and includes lush forests, a quiet mountain range, soft rolling hills, and extensive orchards and farmland. In the center of the country lies a large fortified palace. The interior of the palace is decorated in vibrant shades of orange.
Main Industries
The majority of Eastern Nectarine's wealth comes from the cultivation of fruits such as: oranges, tangerines, pears, nectarines, and grapes. The weather is very warm in the spring and summer, and the winters are mild at best. It never snows. In the mountainous Western Nectarine the main industry is jewel mining.
Problems
Nectarnians suffer heavily from dragon raids on towns, malicious sprites, and the presence of monsters.
Aristocracy
The small but highly elite aristocracy of Nectarine practice extremely proper, Victorian age manners. They make a great fuss over bloodlines and other such snobbish nonsense.
Magic
Magic is hereditary and usually considered to be a mark of high birth. In Nectarine, only those with Magic are allowed to inherit the throne. And although the spouse of the monarch is allowed to take on the title of 'King' or 'Queen', only the monarch holds political power.

Weapons
The eternal flower on this staff is Blossom's focus, the object through which she channels her powers. She recieved it in the mail from her parents (presumably) and soon afterwards bought a staff to mount it in. Hopefully this staff will help her be a better warrior, despite the fact that she rarely uses it. :)
Her Pixie Marigold
Marigold is the Pixie of Transfiguration. She's rarely in Pixie form, instead she prefers to transform herself into a fox or a bird and sit on Blossom's shoulder. Mar is best friends with Raine's bear Meringue and she likes to hang out with many of the other human's pets/pixies at Alfea. Lately Blossom's been getting busier and as her number of friends and engagements have increased, she has been spending less time with her little pixie friend. Marigold is becoming very jealous and that does not bode well for the future.
Good Points
Marigold is a sweet attention-loving little pixie who likes to help out. She's a playful companion and although she tends to stay near Blossom she has no qualms about approaching the other humans if they look sad or upset. She's getting more and more talented at morphing into different animals, a skill that can come in handy during battles or various situations.
Bad Points
She's very lazy and often stays behind at Alfea sleeping while Blossom and the others go on adventures. Marigold also has a jealous side and can be rather touchy, unlike her owner she holds grudges easily.

In a castle in the realm of Nectarine, a young boy was preparing to give his careless nurse the slip. He hoisted a backpack filled with provisions over one shoulder and after looking around the crowded hallway furtively, he escaped outside and onto the green castle grounds. He slowly but purposefully made his way to the place where a short white fence divided the tidy palace gardens from the wild forest. The boy was about to climb over the fence when he heard a confused little voice call out to him. Wain? A three-year-old girl with a small pretty face and reddish brown curls stood behind him and stared up at him with her big blue eyes. The boy started, displeased and disappointed that he had been followed. I'm running away, Blossom. But don't worry. You won't get into trouble with Mom and Dad for seeing me escape. They like you too much, the dark-haired boy informed her cooly. And besides, last month I ran away for a whole week and nobody but the nurse noticed. Nobody cares about me. They all like you better! he said half-bitterly and half-miserably. The little girl blinked and didn't seem to understand his logic. I care. You're my big brother. I wuv you. Don't leave me she begged in a tearful childish lisp. The boy looked down at her and softened at seeing her tears. Aww Blossy…alright you win, I'll stay. Just don't cry anymore he told her. She stopped immediately and beamed up at Gawain, taking his small fingers in her smaller hand and leading him over to where she had a storybook with words too big for her to understand. The boy smiled and reluctantly discarded his plan to run away, feeling regretful but strangely happy.

A petite girl of 11 was flying through a well-lit forest, ducking under branches and above bushes. She was grinning and absolutely radiating happiness. As she reached her destination the girl de-transformed and landed, her pink fairy wings shimmering once before disappearing. The fairy-girl sat down by an ordinary-looking laurel tree. Look great-grandma, look what I can do! she cried enthusiastically. The innocent auburn-haired child frowned slightly in concentration and murmured a series of short simple spells. Out of the lush forest grass a little stem began to grow. Slowly, oh so slowly that stem sprouted forth a small leaf and a tiny flower bud. She had created a miniature yellow rose as delicate and as fragile as a butterfly's wings. The leaves of the tree rustled with approval, and a soft voice whispered Very good, Blossom darling. I'm so proud of you. Blossom flashed her most winning smile in happy acknowledgment of the praise and after a short pause she continued to chatter. Oh, I was hoping you would be! I know I have a lot to learn, but I feel as if I'm getting almost good enough to go to Alfea. Laurel, tell me again about nature spirits. Pretty please with a cherry on top? she begged with all the cute confidence of an indulged grandchild. There was dead silence for a few seconds and then a brown-skinned woman with startling leaf green hair walked out of the tree. Unlike most humans, Blossom discerned the dryad easily. The strangely youthful great-grandmother sat down and leaned against the laurel tree, while the child scampered over to her. The woman smiled and began her description, her voice melodious but somewhat rough. Nature spirits are creatures of the wind, rain, and earth. They have existed since the dawn of time, and will continue to exist until the end of the worlds. I am a tree spirit and you, my child, will one day grow into a fine young flower spirit. And when that day comes, your powers will triple-perhaps even quadruple. You'll gain the power to talk to flowers in the same way that I can converse with trees. You will live for centuries and never age beyond 21-it's the closest thing to eternal youth there is. The only downside is that you must watch the ones you love grow old and die…

Blossom can transform into a flower spirit. She's the guardian spirit of Cherry Blossom Trees.
Flower Spirit Special Abilities:
-Plant Speech. All nature spirits are able to communicate with plants, and so they make excellent gardeners.
-Increased Overall Magical Ability.
-Power to float through almost all solid surfaces, including doors and walls.
-A natural lifespan of up to 1,000 years
Flower Spirit Weaknesses:
-Invisibility to those who don't believe in the flower spirits, or who are close-minded
-They don't hold onto romantic love for long after they are separated from their object of affection. This trait allows them to move on with their centuries long life after their shorter-lived human loves have died, but it also makes them capricious lovers.
-If all of the particular plant species that a flower spirit guards is destroyed, then the flower spirit herself dies.
Future Prospects
Blossom will (hopefully) graduate from Alfea in a few years and becoming the actual rather than just the nominal Queen of Eastern Nectarine.

Blossom can be very fearful, and many of her fears are irrational. But the two things she's most terrified of would be monsters and being by herself.

Cale is a strong-minded, mischievous, and tranquil guy who is very popular with the Alfea girls, although many of the specialists seem to dislike him.
Blossom cherishes a tender (if capricious) affection for Cale and securely believes him to be fond of her as well. The two appear to be highly compatible with each other and are currently dating each other.
Unfortunately, the rest of the world isn't at all thrilled abut the prospect of a romance between the merman and the flower spirit. The long history of fighting between Cale and Blossom's brother Gawain (not to mention the mutual dislike between Cale and Derrick) puts a heavy strain on Blossom and Cale's relationship.
Gawain may act as if he 'likes' Cale now and is willing to get along with him for Blossom's sake, but old habits die hard. And even if Gawain ever comes to accept the merman, his and Blossom's snobby family back in Nectarine would scarcely approve of the young Queen dating a non-human (albeit a charming and courageous one) without known family, royal blood, or home realm.
Friendships
Star
Cheerful.Phantasmal.Secretive.
Star is without question Blossom's oldest, and consequently one of her dearest, friends. They first met at the Red Fountain Ball and since then have become close pals.
Some comment must be set aside to describe Star's striking appearence, which an ordinary-looking girl like Blossom finds awe-inspiring and somewhat intimidating. She has unusual pale blue hair which gleams in the moonlight. She posesses a pair of bright eyes, which change color for no apparent reason. And although Star is the oldest of the Alfea girls, 4 years older than Blossom herself, the age difference is trivial because Star looks and acts as youthful as any of the younger girls.
Personality-wise Star has a playful if sometimes sad nature, a good sense of humor, and a love for all things sugary. When she's cheerful and social, as she has been of late, she's a remarkably entertaining person to hang out with.
Yet underneath it all Blossom playfully suspects that Star is keeping things from her. For example Blossom could have sworn that Star's cutely huge and uncannily clever fox named Vendette died at Nature Camp, but she must have been mistaken...right?
Lily
Caring.Obstinate.High-minded.
Lily's the pink-loving fairy of fairy tales and happy endings, and Blossom considers her to be one of her best friends/fairy godmother. :)
At first glance Lily Lotus Rozlin is a pretty fair-skinned blond girl who doesn't seem to be too much out of the ordinary mold-but first impressions can be deceiving. Underneath that soft exterior lays an individual as bold and intelligent a person, and as fiece a fighter, as can be found.
Lily has a magnetic and noble (if rather stubborn and strong-willed) personality that draws people in. Her leadership skills and quiet concern for the well-being of others inspire Blossom to put her trust in Lily during the event of a crisis. The two have been on many adventures together both inside and outside of Alfea.
Blossom was extremely happy to see Lily come back from the land in-between life and death, even though she only vaguely understands what happenned to Lily while she was there. And ever since Blossom discovered that Lily and Derrick have feelings for each other she has tried to gently promote the match in any ways she can-if only they weren't so stubborn! ;)
Jessie
Romantic.Hot-blooded.Trendy.
Jessie's a princess twice over: she's due to inherit both the realm of dreams and an underwater kingdom. With her highlighted amethyst hair and her immense attention to matters of dress (Jessie owns her own mall of the latest posh fashions), she is very much a modern princess. Her good looks and royal blood combine to induce many merman suitors to ask for her hand. Unfortunately for them, Jessie's very reluctant to marry anytime soon and she has cleverly managed to worm her way out of numerous engagements.
Jessie and Blossom have known each other for many months and they are very close. Jessie has more than once taken Blossom, along with their other friends, under the sea to hang out. Basically they have lots of fun together and they definitely get along well. ^_^ The two girls sometimes get into mischief as neither of them is very cautious, and along with Star they once almost crashed a plane by playing around in the control room (Gawain wasn't too happy about that). As a side note Jessie used to date Gawain and Blossom thinks it's a shame that the two of them broke up.
Jessie has power over love and either that or her nature makes her very sensitive and emotional. Although Jessie is often carefree and impulsive, she does tend to cry a lot. Her life may seem wonderful at first glance, but she has a lot of family troubles and often becomes depressed.
Raine
Tough.Sharp-tounged.Funny.
Raine's one of the few grey witches in existence. This green-eyed dirty blonde is street smart and playful, with a quick temper that spices up group discussions. Although she never speaks much of her past, it's known that Raine has a black witch sister (who poisoned Star's pet Vendette at nature camp) involved in shady business deals. Her white magic mother is no longer living and Raine rarely alludes to her because the subject of her family is a painful one. Raine herself broke away from her traditional role as a fairy-hating-witch when she quietly ceased spying on the fairies for the witches and declared that she'd never do so again. Blossom and her other friends have since pardoned her and Blossom has faith in her friend's honesty.
Raine is very outspoken about her opinions and she never shies away from confrontations. Her conversation is highly entertaining since Rae has a knack for telling jokes, sarcasm, and down-to-earth humor. She scoffs at idealism and people who see the world in black and white, good and bad-as a grey witch she knows better than anybody that people come in shades of grey. Raine has an adorable little tap-dancing bear named Meringue who is doted on by all for his cute ways and his shyness. Their close bond is an unlikely one considering their huge difference in personalities, but then again Blossom sometimes thinks that Raine has a soft sweet side that's rarely seen. The two girls are close friends and roomates.
Derrick
Brave.Brooding.Powerful.
Derrick's a specialist who's training at Red Fountain. Blossom doesn't wonder at the way his personality switches from the distantly polite and kind friend to the masterful and ruthless soldier; its just a part of who he is. :)Blossom has great faith in his ability to ward off considers him to be the most courageous person she knows.
During the war between Nectarine and Barok, Derrick surprised nearly everyone by bravely taking an attack that was meant for Blossom and Lily. Blossom hopes that the incident will enlighten others as to his true character and the fact that he's not nearly as 'heartless' as he sometimes seems. Deep down, Blossom is positive that Derrick is a very gentlemanly and considerate person.
In many ways they are polar opposites. They go to different schools, and have completely different personalities and interests. Yet Blossom finds that she can sometimes understand Derrick better than the others in their circle of friends. She was the only one who protested when Cale, Ally, Lily, and Gawain made their ill-fated decision to try to prevent Derrick from finding out that he had attacked and bitten his friends while in his vampire phase.
Blossom's always willing to throw in a good word for her adopted big brother when criticism of him becomes almost cruel.
Amber
Adventuresome.Mischievous.Athletic.
Amber's very adventurous and she's always nice to Blossom. She's is gifted with a cat-like grace that allows her to climb trees with ease, and vibrant pink hair. This catgirl's powers are based around the sun and dragons. Amber very independent and likes to hang out by herself a lot, but she does drop in and join the group from time to time.
Amber seems like a great friend, although to be truthful they haven't talked much. Both Blossom and Amber are nature-loving and outdoorsy. They get along well so far, but they seem to be crushing on the same guy..uh-oh!
Cale
Warmhearted.Untruthful.Curious.
Cale's blue hair and unique blend of three different species catch the eye. He's a human/merman/dragon whom Blossom was terrified of at first (she has a deep-rooted phobia of dragons) but has since grown very fond of, especially since he saved her from being swept away in a river at nature camp.
Cale is kind, calm, and supportive: the ideal person to have around when tragedey strikes. He has a liking for mischief and the sea.
But as much as she admires and likes Cale, Blossom can't help but pity him as well. When Lily found the dragon Cale on the nature camp island he was lonely and isolated. His clan had been completely wiped out years ago, and he alone remained on the island. Although Lily later discovered that Cale has an evil twin brother, he has not been informed of his sibling's existence yet.
Cale has charm, kindness, and many other virtues. But as for vices, his greatest flaws are his tendency to bend the truth and lose his temper-traits that caused him to lie to Lily about Derrick and get into numberous fights with Gawain.
Of all the fights within the group, the Gawain-Cale rivalry hurts Blossom the most. She is often torn between supporting her brother and her crush, and that situation upsets her greatly. Blossom's crossing her fingers and hoping that the current tentative truce between Gawain and Cale lasts.
RJ
Sweet.Hesitant.Emotional.
RJ's the fairy of hope and dreams, which Blossom thinks is an exceptionally cool power. Her father Cedric the Great was one of the Red Fountain teachers before he died, and she herself is an interesting person and a loyal friend. RJ is the keeper of the lavender pearl and the princess of Windvale Valley. Like Jessie RJ is a mermaid princess. ^_^
Vanessa
Independent.Damaged.Dark.
Vanessa's a fairy with the ability to transform into a dragon. This ravenhaired byronic maiden is introspective and gloomy, qualities which spring from her troubled past. Her connection to the deceased Holly is not quite clear, but the two went to school together at some point in the past. Overall Vanessa seems friendly and eager to help. She's a very caring person, and Blossom likes her a lot. Most of the time Vanessa is unhappy and wounded both mentally and physically. A wolfpack follows her around.
Ally
Tomboyish.Blunt.Bold.
Ally's very much the fun tomgirl; she was quite put off
when she learned that she had to wear a dress to
Lily's Christmas Ball. She seems like a bold girl who is very kind despite her witch clan upbringing. Ally likes to practice fighting and has grown up around warfare. For a while she was turned evil but Lord Drake eventually decided to release her from his control. Blossom is rather uncomfortable and upset by Ally's warning that Lord Drake will try to conquer all the realms.
Kelan
Winsome.Prankster.Disciplined.
When they first met on the Nectarine battlefield Kelan was surprised to find that the enemy Queen was Blossom, an outgoing childish girl of 15. But now that the war's over and Kelan has begun to mingle with the Alfea and Red Fountain students, Blossom has taken a liking to Kelan. He's high-spirited and confident not to mention very funny. This Avarenthian Captain seems very much the humorous athetic type. Like Blossom, Kelan did not expect the existance of Derrick's vampire side. Since Kelan and Derrick hang out together so often Blossom is a little surprised whenever she sees either one without the other.
Namine
Animated.Fiery.Feral.
Namine is Jessie's other, slightly darker half, so it makes sense that she hangs out with Jessie a lot. But besides her connection to Jessie she's also a party girl who lives on the wild side of life. Namine has the ability to see the future through her card powers, and she can also trap people and creatures in her card deck. She's a pretty helpful and agreeable person although Blossom cannot match her in energy. Namine has a romantic streak and can be prone to bouts of depression whenever her past is mentioned.
Nano
Artistic.Shy.Calm.
Nano is a kind, quiet witch who is never without her drawing book. She has white-blond hair and a shy look that greatly contrasts Blossom's colorful red-brown hair and overly talkative manner. Yet despite their differences in appearence, both Alfea students have a youthful spirit that allows them to get along just fine. Nano's powers are memory, and she herself is a vital part of Ally-her memories.
