x.Introduction to the Long Patrol.x

Th' Long Patrol was made teh keep thieves an' pirates from pilferin' th' treatures o' deep-sea volcanos. Each volcano is managed by a dif'rent Long Patrol, each Patrol bein' lead by an spiffy Orca Lord. They pervide th' weapons, creat battle stratergies, an' keep th' Long Patrol from scoffin' all th' tucker. Th' Patrols also drive off rogue jetsams from neighborin' herd an' keep ev'ry innocent creature safe.

x.Rules.x

Aye, there are some rules, wot! Without 'em, bally anyone could b'come a Long Patrol Peophin, an' 'twoudn't be right fer some vile ol' Jetsam teh become one, wot!

1. Yore pet *must* be a peophin. They aren't called Long Patrol Peophins fer no reason, wot!
2. They kin be either male or female.
3. They must have a volcano an' Orca Lord. If'n yeh do't fancy joinin' an existin' Long Patrol, creat yore own an' neomail peophinofthenight an' she'll register it as a recognized Long Patrol. Ifn' yeh make one an' don't neomail them, yore Long Patrol is void an' will nev'r be official, wot! Ifn' yeh fancy joinin' an existin' Long Patrol, neomail peophinofthenight abou' which one yeh want teh join. It's gotteh be an open rp though, wot!
4. Yore pet must be loyal teh his or her Orca Lord. This means carryin' out oders, even when they seem bloody stupid, an' nev'r talkin' back, or talkin' 'bout yore fellow Patrollers behind their back, wot! Why not jus' say it teh their bally face that they're a food-scoffin' fish-mongerin' yellow-bellied lazy good-fer-nothin pickle-eared weasel? Thas right. Th' Long Patrol prides itself on insults teh th' face! Howev'r, th' male Patrollers may not insult th' female Patrollers, an' the Patrollers may nev'r insult anybeast outside th' Patrol unless 'tis their foe!
5. Yore peophin's gotta get their ooves dirty. They can't be afraid teh kick some tailfins. It doesn't matter whether or not they're strong, jus' as long as they're willin'.
6. If'n yore peophin doesn't love food, it's not meant teh be a Long Patroller. Us Long Patrol peophins NEV'R GET FULL, wot! We kin eat all day an' still be hungry!
7. Long Patrollers, 'specially th' males, shouldbe charmin' an' polite teh other creatures, unless it's one o' those pirate-dealies. Th' females kin be less charmin' teh other Patrollers, but should retain their lady-like ammers teh others. In fact, it's th' girls who make up th' best insults.
8. Th' Long Patrollers assume either a British, Scottish, Irish, or Austrailian accent when they become a Long Patrol Peophins. While yeh don't have teh use it all the bloody time, yeh do when rpin' with yore Long Patrol.
9. RPin' is a must. Yeh can create yore own rp somewhere or join one o' th' already existin' ones. Nev'rtheless, yeh must send peophinofthenight the link teh yore rp so she kin put it up here. Ifn yeh don't want any new members, jus' sen a neomail an' she'll mark it as closed. Yeh must have at least 5 members teh close a Patrol, plus an Orca Lord. Th' Orca Lord is rped by th' person who creates th' RP. Th' Orca Lord is usually not an' does not have teh be a neopet. Th' max fer a patrol is 15, unless it is a particularly large volcano, wot! If'n yeh wanna rp in more than one Long Patrol, yeh must use a different peophin fer each patrol. Can't have those sentries leavin' their post, wot! More than one peophin o' yores can be in th' same patrol though, wot!
10. Yeh gotta link back teh this here page, wot! Otherwise how is anyone gonna know there's a Long Patrol fer Peophins? Howev'r don't ferget teh become one yeh gotta neomail peophinofthenight. Otherwise yeh won't become a registered Long Patroller. They aren't gonna know if'n yeh jus' take th' link. Yore welcome teh anyway, but it doesn't seem too bally smart. x.How to Join.x

Joinin's easy, wot! Follow these easy steps.

1. Read rules.
2. If'n it's teh yore fancy, check out th' existin' Long Patrols. Ifn' yeh find an open one yeh wanna join, neomail peophinofthenight an' she'll add yeh. If'n yeh wanna start yore own patrol, neomail peophinofthenight an' she'll help yeh get started. Tell her where yore rp is gonna be, if it's gonna be a beginner, moderate, or advanced rp, what th' name o' yore Orca Lord an' Volcano are, and who yore members are. Each time yeh get a new member, be sure teh let her know just in case they didn't neomail her. No matter WHO yeh are, yeh MUST NEOMAIL peophinofthenight teh join ANY o' the Patrols!
3. Follow th' Link teh th' rp board. Post yore peophin's characteristics an' personality. Yeh can find an example form here. Jus' fill it out an' post it.
4. Start rpin' an pertectin' yore volcano!
5. Take a link with yeh an post it on each o' yore Peophin's pages or lookups that are in th' Long Patrol.

Q: Why can't I join a closed RP?
A: They might have the maximum number of peophins in their patrol, or may be content with the members they have. Just choose another rp.
Q: I'm having problems with so-and-so in my rp. What should I do?
A: Talk to your Orca Lord about it. If you are the Orca Lord, or if that's the person you're having problems with, neomail peophinofthenight and we will try to sort it out.
Q: Can I do this or this in the rp?
A: All rps follow regular rp rules. No powerplaying, godmoding, or being an insolent jerk when not in character. (If you don't know what this means, you probably shouldn't join.)
Q: If I want to be an Orca Lord, do I have to know how to RP?
A: That would help a lot. Yes, you have to be a knowledgable rper. I don't care how literate you are, as long as people understand what's going on and know what the rules are.
Q: Why are the RPs marked advanced, moderate, or beginner?
A: It depends on how literate the rps are. Advanced might use extremely literate rp speech most people don't understand, and beginner is for people who are still learning to rp. Moderate is for those who don't care to use fancy words but have been rping for a while.
