Welcome guest to my Key Quest guide! Key Quest is a new multiplayer online adventure game that Neopets hopes to release sometime this spring. You and your friends will be able to chat as you play this game together! Right now that is all we know about the game itself. When it is released you can check out this page for one of the first Key Quest game guides. For now I'll go over information on the new Key Quest tokens and Collector's Case which you can begin collecting today! For those who worried this new game would replace our precious Neopets.com website you can be comforted by this entry in the Neopian Times Editorial: Issue 328: I just read and saw on Neopets that you are going to be creating Key Quest. Apparently, you get the Keycodes off of merchandise and then you can play the game. You are not going to get rid of the site as we know it now, are you? I hope this will just be a new game in the Games Room. ~princezuda This must be rumour day. No, we're not going to replace the site we've spent nearly a decade building up with a single game. :) We have no idea how people jumped to this conclusion. We have a page about Keyquest here. Key Quest Tokens Key Quest Tokens are the unique game pieces for the Key Quest game. Currently you can only get these by redeeming Virtual Prize Codes from the new Neopets plushies, TCGs, and NC Mall cards. However, Neopets has stated that they plan on giving out tokens for events on the website and you will NOT need to purchase any merchandise in order to play KeyQuest! 
Right now there are 18 possible Key Quest Tokens for you to find. When you redeem a prize code from one of the 14 new plushies you will receive a matching Key Quest Token. (So the Plushie Wocky Plush will give you the Plushie Wocky Token.) Once you have collected all 14 Plush Tokens you should receive a special bonus Nova token. When you claim your prize code from one of the new TCG packs you may also receive a Darkest Faerie, Jeran, or Princess Amira token. These tokens are more rare and are not always awarded with every TCG prize code. The number of tokens you have (total and unique) now show up as a stat on your User Lookup. You can view which tokens a person has by clicking on this stat in their user lookup. These tokens can not be sold or traded and should be thought of more as trophies than items. 
To take a look at your own Collector's Case you can click here. This is where you can check out all the tokens you've collected. 
When you visit your case you can open several catagories of tokens to view; Neopets, Petpets, Faeries, Heroes, Villains, and Special. Click on these and you will see which tokens you have, how many of each, and which tokens you are missing from that particular catagory. You can also click on the tokens for a little more information about them! 
Settings You can click this button to set your collector's case theme. You can also choose if you'd like your collector's case to be public (everyone can see it), neofriend only, or private (only seen by you). Make sure you click the Apply button to make the changes (and you'll have to refresh the page to actually see any change in theme). 
Help This displays the help dialog box. Basically gives you a little more information about the collector's case and tokens as well as tells you what all the buttons do. 
Favorites This will show which 12 tokens you have selected as your favorites. You can always change these if you'd like by removing one and replacing it with something different. To add a token to your favorites simply go to the catagory, click on the token and check the Add to Favorites box. 
Key Quest Quick List Click on this button to see the 12 tokens you've chosen to add to your Key Quest Quick List. These tokens will be easily accessable when entering a Key Quest game. You can add a token to this list by checking the Add to Key Quest Quick List box. They can also be removed at any time to be replaced with other tokens. 
Next Page Click this button to see the next page of tokens in a catagory. Currently the Neopets catagory has two pages of tokens for you to check out. 
There is a whole new set of plushies for you to collect! Each adorable plushie is $7.99 and can be found at your local
Target store. No more digging around the music section for Neopets merchandise. It is all located in the toys section now
where it belongs! Each plushie comes with a sealed (so no one can steal) prize code. Each code comes with a matching Key Quest
token and a special Neo item.

There are new TCGs at your local Target stores! The 2-Pak Trading Card Fun Paks are just $3.99. There is also a
larger 4-Pak Trading Card Fun Paks available. Each TCG Pak contains cards with your favorite characters, places, and items as well
as collectable stickers, tattoos, pop-out standees, trivia, mini-games and more! Each Pak also contains a virtual prize code for a
special prize and the possibility of finding a unique Key Quest Prize! (Key Quest Tokens do not automatically come with every
code... you must find the unique Key Quest prize card in your pack.)

You can now find new NeoCash cards (they come in boxes!) next to the new Plushies and TCGs. NeoCash Cards can be used in the
NC Mall to buy clothes,
background, trinkets and more to customize your pets. They always come with a virtual prize as well but the new cards will also give you
a chance to win a special theme for your Collector's Case.
Themes As default all collector cases are a brown wood. However, when you purchase one of the new NC Mall cards (in the boxes and found by the new plushies and TCGs) you will be able to change that with a special collector's case theme. I have talked to several people and learned that the color theme you receive matches the color of the card you buy. So for instance I bought a red $10 NC Mall card (it had cute little plushies on it) and I was given the red theme for my case! Below are what the different themes look like when applied to your case (thank you sandmaster1320, slrunion99, siennacat13, kittiekatzluver, impishmars and xena_brat for letting me screenie your cases!).
