Pen and Ink
Welcome to the web!
Hello, lol_katharine! Welcome to Pen and Ink's webbie! Here there will be basic rules, ranks, links, and everything else. Pen and Ink is a literate literature guild that is centered on writing! We try to provide a happy and fun atmosphere to make new friends at. Whether you are a writer, a reader, or an artist, we will welcome you happily and warmly.Rules
You should follow the rules of Pen and Ink. Please don't be lenient about it; we won't; not too often.
- Follow most of TNT's rules, if not all of them.
- Though we are labeled as a literate guild, we are not overly so, and do allow people to type as they do, so long as they aren't using chatspeak in any way, and use correct grammar and spelling most of the time.
- Don't scam, spam, and don't be too lenient about using profanity - we would prefer it if you didn't use it at all.
- Be active. Being gone for twenty or more days will get you deleted.
- Don't try to get members to join a different guild.
- Please be kind to others. If someone does make you angry or frustrated, either drop it, take it to neomail, or contact a council member about it.
- Have fun!
Please note that breaking any of these rules will result in the following:
- A first-time offense will result in a warning.
- A second-time offense will result in another warning.
- A third-time offense will result in a suspension. [the days will vary, according to what the offense was.]
- A fourth-time offense will result in a deletion, possibly a temporary or permanent ban.
Ranks
Once you achieve the requirements for the next rank, please neomail Katharine requesting to be moved up. She will get to it as soon as possible.- Reader - The rank you receive when you first join.
- Writer - The rank you receive when you have posted 100 non-spam messages.
- Poet - The rank you receive when you have posted 300 non-spam messages.
- Book - The rank you receive when you have posted 600 non-spam messages, and have been in the guild for 1 - 2 months. An alternative to this is having done much for the guild.
- Pen and Ink - You receive this rank when the council decides you deserve it, or have earned it.
- Council - Tread to the next section to find out how to achieve council.
Council
If you want a spot on council, here's where you look. This section has guidelines for people who want one. Please note that council isn't just a spot - it does involve work.
Application
It is advised that you have the rank of Poet, at the least, but it isn't a requirement. HTML/CSS and graphics knowledge would be amazing, but isn't needed, either.
You do need to have been active in the guild for at least a month, maybe less if the council really like you. This means you should have posted at least once daily, or at least when you can, you should have participated in activities, should be kind to others, etc.
You don't need to write a novel when applying. You just have to fill out the form, or possibly create an application that tells us what we want - in paragraph format.
- Tell us a bit about yourself!
- How often are you on? For how long are you usually on?
- Do you have any knowledge of HTML/CSS or graphics? If yes, do you have any examples of your work?
- How dedicated are you?
- Why do you think we should pick you for council?
If you have any other information you think would help us choose, then by all means, add it!
When you are done, please send your application to either Katharine or Taylor.
