There will never be a day when Elenoir goes out in public with no powder on her face, no extravagant dresses, and will never reveal her au-naturale straw-like hair in public. She takes about two to three hours everyday to get ready but doesn't find it as a chore. She enjoys sitting in front of her vanity and dolling herself up as this is very theraputic for her. Elenoir spends most of her neopoints on makeup, jewelry, wigs and dresses (and occassionally gambling). Elenoir is an entertainer and mainly acts as a hostess while using her enchanting dance skills and occasionally plays the harp and the harpsichord. Although her job pays well, she does spend quite a lot of her money on fashionable items, tea sets, accessories and gambling. Luckily, she doesn't spend too much on her clothes, shoes and wigs since many designers from Neovia would ask her to display their product in public if it is in her favor. That way, after Elenoir and the clothing gains exposure (looking absolutely bizaare yet fancy) the tailors would auction it off successfully. This is her way of contributing to charity.
Because Elenoir's a zombie, she feels that she needs to be excess in her makeup and fashion so she can distract the crowd from her obvious flaws. Elenoir tries her hardest to be the perfect lady. To cope with her insecurities, she keeps herself busy by trying to master the art of feminine delicacy. Like a lady, she wouldn't speak unless necessary and never would she openly speak her mind unless asked to (unless you are a very trusted, close friend). Because she's so restrained in expressing herself, it's all the more reason to pile on more colorful things on her dress and hat so she would "feel heard."
Although Elenoir is kind, and well-mannered. It is quite hard to pin-point where her true intentions and emotions lie. She has a lot of connections and many acquanitances but only a very, very few close friends and even her close friends are very uptight and wouldn't reveal anything they don't want you to see/know. If a rather, prideful gentleman tried to woo Elenoir, you would probably hear her chuckle and say How lovely. You remind me of my father! to which the gentleman would reply, I presume that's a positive thing, is it not m'lady? Elenoir would smile bashfully (though her eyes, however, tell a different story) while being ever-so engimatic and reply to the gentleman, That's for you to figure out, darling.
Elenoir's an entertainer, a socialite. She acts and wants you to believe she's one open usul, but she's the complete opposite and is very keen on maintaining this lady-like perfection. When talking with friends, she'll ask them questions to keep them going and avoid any personal questions that are directed towards her. It's quite easy for her since most of the pets she's associated with are very egotistical and don't mind talking about themselves. Although she doesn't easily trust others with her emotions, she is very trustworthy and respectful of her peers. She doesn't mind encouraging her friends when they are feeling moody and keep their intimate secretst to herself...but she does have a problem if it's the other way around. Elenoir is loyal and never reveals any secrets, but she does enjoy a good rumour and making up little stories to get pets worked up. She loves to gossip, a lot, but it's always said while being very coy behind her fluttering fan amongst her posse and close friends.
Feminine, elegant, and dainty. Rarely do you associate these traits with a zombie. But there is one exception, and her name is Elenoir de Pompadore. A zombie usul that embodies every lady-like trait and eliminates any habits that a stereotypical zombie would have. Born in Brightvale with many sisters, the Pompadour (yes, she changed her last name) family was of higher class and was considered one of the important families of Brightvale. Although most of the Pompadour family didn't have an ounce of royal blood in them, they were all aristocrats and almost all of them were considered nobles and great innovators for Brightvale. Thus, Elenoir (who was known as Elenore at the time) was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and took full advantage of her wealth. Elenore was popular amongst the court, perhaps because unlike her sisters, she always possessed this mystique quality to her (never throwing herself onto the royal boys) and was able to impress the court scholars.
She was not only quite intelligent, but she was quite a fashion icon. She was never shy about her fashion and would often say, Modesty is essential in a lady's manners, but never in her fashion! She was brave and unique, thus easily became a trendsetter for the royal ladies. Not only was she popular amongst the ladies, but she was quite popular with the males as well. Her sarcastic jokes and witty humor would always throw the men off and some wanted to be her friend or soemtimes were offended by her. Ironically, her father loved that about her and her mother didn't. She would always try to tone Elenore down and scold her to be more obedient, well-mannered young lady. But of course, that didn't bring Elenore down. She would continue flaunting her beautiful, embellished dresses while throwing witty one-liners to the crowd. One courtier wrote, "Elenore is always the life of the party, it's no wonder that she's always invited to balls, and exclusively royal social events even if she's not of royalty herself."
Parties, after gatherings after parties, Elenore never failed to charm the crowd. Many were enamoured by her and rumour has it that the duke of Brightvale was sending Elenore countless letters of his admiration for her. While this was very disputable at the time, since he was looking for a potential duchess, it is a well-known fact that the Pompadore family receives a bagful of letters everyday and almost every one of them is strictly addressed to Elenore. Her father would try to ease off the rumors and say that they were just invitations to parties..but everybody knows Chancellor Pompadore wasn't a very good liar and there was no way there would be fifty parties being held in the same week. When the ladies would eagerly ask Elenore during their daily afternoon tea, she would simply reply, Lie, I shall not. So, indeed do I receive rather charming letters of admiration on a daily basis from reputable suitors. I respect them as they do with me, thus those who have respectfully chose love over their pride, shall remain annonymous. With that, the crowd would cease the pestering but nevertheless, still conjured up many theories as to who she meant by "reputable suitors."
One evening, there was a carriage in front of the Pompadore's estate, and the coachman had asked for Elenore. Elenore's mother, was ecstatic at this point since it was rare to see a fancy carriage that's accompanied by unis wearing the finest bardings Brightvale has to offer..in front of your door. It looked unreal and Elenore was overwhelmed when the coachman had told her family that the duke wished to dine with Elenore privately at his royal mansion. Elenore and her parents were excited..but her sisters weren't too happy that they weren't even considered in the duke's eyes. The coachman did not give Elenore anytime to get ready, but instead, reassured her that there were designers and maids at home waiting to doll her up. You musn't forget Elenore..that your grace has yet to find his beloved duchess. To become the duchess of Brightvale..is like a dream, a fairytale! Do promise me, you'll reject any unwise behavior. her mother said before sending her off in the carriage. Elenore was determined to further appease the duke and show her mother that she could do this.
That night, Elenore and the duke shared a lovely dinner and the two were very much enamoured by each other. So, as days passed, the impatient duke made a hasty decision that Elenore was going to be the new duchess of Brightvale. There was going to be a party and everyone in the royal court and all of Elenore's friends and families were invited. Because Elenore kindly proposed to him an idea to spend a bit more neopoints than he usually would on parties because it was a special day..it was one of the biggest parties ever held in Brightvale court. It didn't help that Elenore also wanted to wear the most ostentatious gown while playing poker (to which the duke would obviously pay for all of her bets as well). Her overly-jealous sisters, showed up wearing the most simple-borderline-informal dresses they could find as a quiet insult. Elenore didn't mind much, since she was busy having too much fun talking about the new laces on her dress whilst rolling dices and planting down cards and neopoints to her heart's content. Little did she know, her sisters had deviced a plan to ruin her party...to ruin her life. One of her sisters had brought a potion of zombie morphing extract and "spilled" some in Elenore's glass while the other sisters would go around and exaggerate about Elenore's flirtatious nature and spread rumours that Elenore would secretly brag to her sisters of how many royal hearts she lead on while cackling and telling them they were all fools.
Later, Elenore had went outside for some fresh air and found it strange at how it suddenly became quiet inside the mansion. Elenore strutted inside the mansion, by saying, Your duchess excuses herself for less than a heartbeat, and already the party is growing bored without her presence! It's no wonder everyone thinks the royalties are uptight and have no sense of humor! No one laughed, not even a smile. But instead, a shriek from one of the courtiers, I-It's TALKING!! Then one of her sisters pointed and cried out, Eveyone run! The zombie here is impersonating our duchess to feast upon our flesh! Everybody ran to find the nearest hiding place or a weapon. They all screamed and chanted, Return to the Haunted Woods where you belong! You smelly distgusting swine! Shocked, Elenore had no choice but to flee to the outskirts of the Haunted Woods as her sisters successfully passed down a rumour of how Elenore was eaten by the zombie and devised a funeral for her fake death. Elenore never returned to Brightvale and changed her name to Elenoir de Pompadore (noir meaning black and adore meaning love, obviously).
Aka and Elenoir are very close (having almost little to no secrets with each other) since they have gone through a lot together. Aka IS Elenoir's first friend ever since she died/became a zombie and he helped her get back on her feet and find her place in Haunted Woods. Although the two are close, they still have different views and sometimes get frustrated with one other since Aka finds her obsession with her appearance absolutely ridiculous and Elenoir often rolls her eyes at Aka's cynicism. But nevertheless, the two help each other out, putting one above the other, with Aka keeping her grounded and Elenoir teaching him to give others the benefit of the doubt like what he did with her when the two first met
Arek and Elenoir bonded rather hastily upon their initial meeting. Their relationship is a bit strange since from afar it would look like an older sister with her little brother until you hear their conversation about gambling and throwing sarcastic witty remarks at one another..Unlike Aka, Arek seems to not mind Elenoir's obsessive behavior at all since he likes to spoils himself as well (but not as much as she does) He doesn't think much of her behavior as a problem but rather thinks of it as an 'etiquette taken very seriously.' The two are very close friends, but most of the time, it's as if Arek's almost like a fatherly-figure to her (giving her advices on finances and all that) but also goof around in their mansion in secretly. But they are quite competitive with each other when playing poker though....
Layats and Elenoir have a rather complicated relationship. Layats would often try to swoon Elenoir but Elenoir would disregard it and tell him to get back in line with the other candidates. But when Layats isn't being a total creep, the two have enough potential to be great friends since Layats helps with her insecurities, saying thaat her "zombie-flaws" are not flaws, but a lovely asset. Although Elenoir finds his "persistance rather charming" ..at the same time, she also finds it "considerably annoying." And like Elenoir, Layats also finds her feminine, flirtatious, coy attitude adorably-enticing, at the same time it frustrating to him that she shares that with everyone. (and Layats doesn't like sharing) In many ways, the two are very similar-which can be both good and bad.
Molentary and Elenoir were probably just Dr. Sloth's experiment and were just clones of each other. They both got along right from the get-go and did what the two did best. Shopping. The two understand each other frustrations and obsessions when it comes to fashion and finding the right quality-and being nitpicky about everything(from hair, to shoes, to nails---even the hems on the clothes!) They understand their need to look their BEST at all times (whether it be just going for an errand or being outside for only a minute). The two are notorious for being the biggest-fashion-police-gossiper. Elenoir is not one to complain about her clients from a party so openly-but you can bet she'll tell Molentary everything-right-down-to-the-bone. And Molentary, would gossip about his royal courtiers without any filter with her and some tea. If you were to be at a party and you see the two of them (you probably will, as they are very hard to not-see). You best be wearing your best- but at the same time, nothing too simple BUT ALSO careful not to look like you're trying to overshine them...just...try not to get them a glimpse of you if you don't want to be the subject of their gossips..because when they are together, and Elenoir has her fan up to her nose, turned to Molentary--you can bet it's nothing too pleasant despite their charming-innocent-like-smiles.
LeResistance and Elenoir are newly-friends. The two met each other at a Chancellor's ball and as always, what caught Elenoir's attention was his outfit and what caught his attention was the pearls in Elenoir's hair. At first, Elenoir didn't trust the guy since..obviously, he attempted to steal her beloved accessory. But it didn't take long for him to gain back her trust once the two opened up to each other and he gave her the freedom to loosen up and speak freely in his presence. LeResistance sympathized with her and daringly offered Elenoir to escape the ball and take her on a little adventure-outside of all the fancy-high-class party. Although she was quite reluctant to take up on such offer-she did anyway, acting just as repulsive as she is whenever she's buying some expensive dresses. Although the two aren't necessarily super-tight-close-friends, Elenoir trusts him enough to follow him around, curious as to what goes on outside of the high class life.
