Step 1: Neomail me stating your name, the pet you are applying for and whether you are sending a neomail or petpage application (or a neomail app on a blank petpage).
Here is an example of the type of opening neomail I would like:
Hi, my name is (name here) and I am applying for (pet name here). I'm going to apply by neomail/petpage app/neomail petpage app
That's all I want, no other details.
Step 2: Check the rules and questionnaire. Try and apply as creatively as possible.
Step 3: Send me another neomail. This should either contain your application or a link to the petpage it is on. Don't rush your app, I'm very patient so take as long as you want.
Step 4: Wait. I may get in touch and I will tell you whether your app is being considered or has been rejected. I will update you on the final decision close to or just after the deadline.
Questionnaire
1. Name your main and side accounts and state what you use each account for. Which account would you adopt the pet onto?
2. Have you ever traded pets in the past? Do you plan to in the future? Do you plan to trade the pet you are applying for?
3. Why do you want the pet?
4. What can you offer the pet that others can't?
5. Tell me a bit about yourself on Neopets and IRL
6. Tell me about your other pets. How do they feel about the pet you are applying for?
7. Does the pet have a backstory or personality to you? If so, please give a description
8. If there is anything else you want to mention, then mention it here, otherwise you're done!
Neomail Guide:
PetPage Guide:
1. I accept neomail and petpage applications. If you want to do a neomail application then I would ask for you to type it into a blank petpage (no layout etc needed). It is just to save me getting a ton of neomails and getting confused but if you really are against petpage apps then neomails will be fine.
2. Please don't use chatspeak.
3. Use the pet's name and gender.
4. If you relate anything to the pet (such as a lookup) please link to it so that I don't miss it.
5. Get in touch first! Don't leave me to panic that no one is interested in a pet when some of you are working hard on an application. I will panic!
6. If your account isn't yet four months old and I select you as the parent I will be willing to wait until your account has aged.
7. I really don't like rejecting people. At all. So please know that there can only be one final parent and if I am declining you, I'll feel awful about it. If you are polite and apply for one of my future pets then I will appreciate your application a lot. If you are rude then you won't be allowed to apply for any of my future pets.
8. Don't beg. It gets awkward. I'm reviewing your app, so constant neomails about how much you want the pet won't make any difference. Beggers will be instantly rejected.
9. If any pets are in the "waiting room" that you would like to adopt then neomail me and I'll stop zapping them.
- If you have any questions or just want to chat then neomail me, I don't bite!
- Ignore any details of the pet's personality that I have given away. You can decide on the personality yourself.
- The petpage guide I have given you - which, by the way, I think is awesome - says you should make a shop to prove you mean what you say. While this isn't necessary AT ALL, if you are planning to do this then I would recommend a gallery instead.
- If there are any details that relate to a specific pet (such as a deadline) then the information will be posted on the pet's description page.
- If you are the chosen parent and you want the pet's gender changed I can do that. Just tell me so in your app and give the reason why.
- Don't worry about the length, I love reading anyway!
-If you are doing a neomail application and only filling out the questionnaire then number eight will be what sets you apart from everyone else so that will be important for you.
There are a lot of other good application guides on off-neopets links (and on neopets too) that you should be able to find if you search - if you don't want to be following the same guide as other people! The guides I have posted though are pretty awesome.

Honesty
Yes, I want you to be honest. This applies to everything. Adoptables, graphics, artwork and layouts made by other people are fine by me as long as you leave the credits. Also, be honest in your application - especially in your reasons for wanting the pet. I don't want to read the same reasons repeatedly. You might think it is a rubbish reason, but I might not, especially if I can tell you've been honest!

Extensions
If you need an extension I'm happy to give you one because I believe everyone deserves a fair chance and some people don't have as much time to make their application as other people. However, it's also unfair to give out repeat extensions when other applicants that got their application in before the deadline are waiting to find out if they've been chosen. Because of this, I will only give out one extension for a maximum length of three weeks. Please don't abuse this, it's just for people who don't have time to work on it often. It's not an excuse to be lazy =P Also, for applicants that finish early, try and hang on to it for as long as possible. If you hand yours in three weeks before the deadline you could have a six week wait!
