It's that kind of evening where you can taste summer on your tongue-- the warm, heavy air, the buzz of the crickets, and the blinking of lightning bugs flashing in the darkness. Slowly, gently, you reach out your hand and catch one in your hands, letting its glow light up your face before blowing it back into the sky. Each one is a special-- a gift from Firefly! Here at Firefly, we send out lightning bugs to the best of sites, which you have the chance to request. So come outside with us, and dance among the fireflies!

Lit because This is where I go for almost all of my petpage layouts. They have all different designs and colors too. Plus this site was really helpful because it was one of the first sites that had layouts that could pass through the new filters!

I chose this site because... well, I don't want to seem biased, because it's actually my site. xD But I guess I've put a lot of work into it, and I agree with Paige's reasons, so why not?

Lit because Fushi has a awesome site, which she has worked on a lot. Even with her fantastic graphics & the cutest layout, I don't think too many people know about her site. Which I find a shame, since a lot of people are missing out.

I chose this site because I've actually seen this site before, and I really liked it. However, I forgot the name, and never found my way back. I love the site's sute lookups-- especially the cloud one! I'm glad it was nominated, so it gets its chance to shine. n-n

Lit because It's a really great site that gives you almost eveything you need and you can tell that Emily has worked really hard on it.

I chose this site because I, personally, love Somersault. It's a whole bunch of sites rolled into one! It's got layouts, graphics, and even some pixels. I also love the competitions page, Gamer*. I even entered my icon once. xD

Lit because Zoey and I have been close for a long time. I remember when she told me that she had an idea to open up a Directory, but didn't know how to go about it, so I helped her open it up. She's a fabulous girl, and deserves all she can get, and more. She's helped me at various times; commenting on my blogs, soothing me when I'm sad or mad, helping me dig out dead links, and understanding my random outbursts. I've always tried to find some way to thank her... and I just can't. So this is one of many attempts to thank her. (♥ U ZOE!!!)

I chose this site because Landslide is a wonderful directory. It's one of the first ones I go to when I need something. In fact, when I saw listings were closed, I almost sent in a form anyway, because I just had to be listed. x3 But I followed the rules, and Zoey actually asked me if she could list my sites. Both the owner and the site are both wonderful, and deserve a button.

Lit because Honestly, KoB has the most high-quality customs, I've ever seen. It's overall amazing, and Kaz, has outdone himself once again! ^^

I chose this site because Kaz may be one of the best graphic makers in the sitemaking world. I remember when KoB was open about a year ago, and I love his work. I could never make something like his layouts... he continues to amaze me and many others, time and time again. Hope you like it, Kaz!

Lit because Cass's site has so many other sites listed, and it is where I go when I need anything and everything. I love all her sites, but Soroptimist is the one that has inspired me the most; even leading me to create my own directory.

I chose this site because Soroptimist has got to be one of the most well-known sitesthere is. Even before I had this account, it was still my first stop for anything I needed. Now it's grown so much-- every time I refresh the page, there's a different 'Newest Sailor'. It's always updated, and it has almost every site-- this is for you, Joggly. ^^

Lit because Amber works so hard on her site. Her CSS is always amazing. She has always stayed up-to-date and always keeps a wide range of things to pick from. I am a very picky person on layouts, but she has never let me down. I think she deserves a button because she does a ton of different things at once, and she never gives up on her site. Amber's CSS will always be unpredictable on what comes next.

I chose this site because Before I learned to code CSS, Amber's CSS was one of my first stops for layouts. I loved her pages, and I used to switch layouts every other week just to use all the styles. Now, I see her userlookups almost everywhere-- the double headers and the triple scrollboxes are everyone's favorite. She's worked so hard on her site, and Amber really deserves this. :*

Lit because Cass's CSS is ah-mazing. x) I use her layouts all the time for my own personal use, and when I get too lazy to make my own (which is really often). There are many CSS sites that are over the top, and all of the owners of those high quality site put tons of effort in everything they do. Exclusive is one of my favorite sites on neo pretty much. ^^

I chose this site because Wow, two of Cass's sites nominated... but, then again, she's famous! n-n Anyway, Exclusive was my inspiration to start a CSS site. I thought, "Hey, if she can make amazing layouts like these, then maybe I can, too!" Okay, that sounds cheesy-- but that's pretty much what I was thinking. As well as making amazing CSS, Cass is also a wonderful person: she helped me with my CSS-making, even when I asked a ton of questions and had her check it a hundred times. x3

Lit because I think Apartment Nine deserves a button because it helps out a lot. Sites out there aren't really warm and welcoming, but Cass fixed it! I bet a lot of sites used Apartment Nine because it gives you guidelines, a checklist, button request sites, and layouts to use incase you don't know how to make your own! She really put time and effort into it, and encourages others to create their own site(s)! She also takes the time to answer neomails regarding CSS questions! (I know because I neomailed her about 1,000 times!) That's why I think she deserves it. PS: GO CASS!!

I chose this site because And Cass's 3rd site earns a button! Obviously, that girl's got something special. She's a sitemaking wizard, as well as a helpful person-- and it shows in Apartment Nine. From the pros and cons of each type of site to layout templates, her site offers great advice to anyone who wants to start a site. Cass is truly dedicated, which is why she deserves her third button.

Lit because Get School'd is a wonderful review site that helps sites by telling them exactly whats good and what needs fixing in-depth. It has also been around for awhile and Kitty/Star knows what she is talking about and is not afraid to tell you.

I chose this site because Star, aka Kitty #2, has a really nice style of reviewing. She's fair, helpful, and really calm about telling the truth. She gives lots of suggestions to improve, not just ponting out the pros and cons of your site. Congratulations, Star! n-n

11.19.09 - Sadly, I closed my review site, fallen Cards. But I opened nominations!

11.16.09 - Apartment Nine was lit up, and received a button! Soon, Cass will run out of sites to be nominated. x3 I made a button for Get School'd, and closed requests until I finish my coding guide.

11.8.09 - Thanks to Nene, Firefly's layout is now compatible with all browsers. I also made my first gift button for Tangible., lit up by Paige. Another site, Heart Station, was nominated by Star, and I made a button for them as well. The third button I made was for Somersault, and was lit up by Tia.
11.7.09 - I'm back! n-n I'm working on a Kimmi Doll for the site-- thanks Yumi for letting me make my own!
