Welcome

Hello and welcome to the Avatars section of our Mega Monthly Event! Below you can see a list of activities designed to help you improve your avatar count, plus some stress-relieving games along the way (because yes, some of these activities are going to make you want to throw your computer across the room). You can participate in any one or all of these activities, it's up to you, but remember - the more activities you participate in, the more likely you are to earn avatars.

Avatar Bingo - The Warm-Up

Avatar Bingo is a fun activity designed to help you "warm up" before you start to earn avatars, and, of course, to give you fun Participation Points. As any seasoned avatar-earner can tell you, it takes tons of practice to earn avatars. You probably won't get many game avatars on your first try.

Below, you will find 5 bingo cards with challenges like "play Ultimate Bullseye 5 times" or "feed 5 Kads" in the traditional bingo form.

How to Play:

You must begin with the card labelled Round One and move up from there.

Complete five challenges in a row on the board (up and down, right to left, and diagonal) to get a Bingo and move up to the next card.

Bingo's on the Round 1 card are worth 1 point. Bingos on the Round 2 card are worth 2 points, Round 3 are worth 3 points, 4 are worth 4 points, and Bingo's on the Round 5 card are worth 5 points.

You can get as many as 12 Bingo's on one card. However, you may not make the same Bingo more than once to earn more points.

Whenever you get a Bingo, send a mail to Bee telling her what challenges you completed. You may wait and mail her at the end of the day, but please don't wait an entire week as that would be a bit too much info in one mail.

We are not requiring screenshots for this activity, we're going to trust that you're being honest with us when you earn a Bingo. We ask that you remember - the whole point of this activity is account improvement, so if you're dishonest, you're only cheating yourself.

To actually see and be able to read the text on the cards below, simply drag and drop the picture into your address bar at the top of the page.

Coach Me

The Coach Me activity is devoted to people who need help with game avatars. We all struggle with certain ones, and sometimes we just need a few tips (or at the least words of encouragement and "I know that's super annoying!") to get the avatar that's driving us crazy.

The easiest way to do this is to get a list of people who are struggling with certain avatars (proteges), put them up here, and let other members who are much better with certain games (coaches) pick and choose who they can best help.

How to do this:

Fill out this form and mail it to Bee

Some Info

The reason we're allowing the coaches to pick and choose who to help is because they know which games they feel are experts at and which games they're comfortable giving advice about. For example, you wouldn't want me to try to help you with Meepit Juice Break. I do not have the patience, nor do I know how to play it really. I am pretty okay at Ultimate Bullseye though, so I would likely look for someone who needs help with that specific game.

Coaches who help a protege earn an avatar will receive 30 participation points.

Proteges who earn the avatar their coach is helping them with will receive 20 participation points.

You can earn more than one avatar for this activity. If your coach helps you earn one avatar, and another, and keeps helping you earn avatars throughout the event, and finally has helped you earn five avatars, you will receive 5x 20 points as a protege, and 5x 30 points as a coach.

Lastly, just for this activity, we are un-retiring the Coach and Protege stamps. So yes, you will be able to earn those again if your coach is able to help you earn an avatar. Woohoo!

Board Games

To keep the fun alive (and avoid going insane), we will be playing two board games - Avatar Simon and Avatar Survivor - all month long. Anyone can host a game, and anyone can earn points!

Some Info:

You will receive 1 point for playing a board game, and 3 points for winning a board game.

The Host is responsible for tallying up all scores from all games and mailing the results to either Mellie, Kayla, or Bee.

ANY Conjure Member can host a game.

You must have at least 5 people to play (including the host).

Avatar Simon

On the Avatar Chat (AC), Avatar Simon is a common board game where the host picks an avatar and you have to post with that same avatar. The goal is to have the most avatars in common with the ones chosen by the host.

How to Play:

The host chooses the difficulty level at the beginning of the game. There are three difficulty levels: Easy (under 150 avatars), Medium (under 250 avatars) or Hard (250+ avatars). These avatar counts are only rough estimations so you have an idea of what each level is like; players do not necessarily have to have a certain amount of avatars to join!

There are a total of 10 to 20 rounds.

Strikes are the number of times you're allowed to not have the avatar and still remain in the game. The host will decide whether or not there will be strikes, and if so, how many are allowed. When you fail to post the same avatar as the host, you will either be eliminated from the game, or get a strike. After a certain amount of strikes, you will be eliminated.

IMPORTANT: You can keep track of your score by posting the ratio of how many avatars you've gotten. The first number is the number of avatars you have that the host has posted with. The second number is the number rounds so far.

For example: It's round 1 and you don't have the first avatar, you post 0/1. It's round 2 and you have it, you post: 1/2

If there is a tie at the end, the host will hold a final bonus round to break the tie.

How to Host:

Copy and paste the following as your first and second post:

First post (introduction):

Second post (fill it out before you post it):

IMPORTANT: Make sure to begin each round with which # of round it is, and the full name of the avatar. If there is a tie at the end, hold a final bonus round to break the tie.

AVATAR SURVIVOR

How to play:

In Avatar Survivor, the host picks a random theme. Players will then have to post with an avatar they think best suits the theme.

When all players have posted, everyone neomails the host which person they believe didn't have the best avatar. Whoever receives the most votes on that round gets a strike or is eliminated, and the game continues until only two players remain.

The winner is determined by all eliminated players. In the event of a tie, the winner is chosen to the discretion of the host.

The host will decide whether or not there will be strikes, and if so, how many are allowed. After a certain amount of strikes, you will be eliminated.

How to host:

Copy and paste the following as your first and second post:

First post (introduction):

Second post (fill it out before you post it):

If you allow strikes in the game, there will be more rounds, and the game will last longer. You can decide judging by how many players there are.

If you have under 5 players, implement 3 strikes.
If you have 5 to 7 players, implement 2 strikes.
If you have 8+ players, don't allow strikes.

IMPORTANT: Have a list of themes prepared in advance! Only post one at a time. This will make your life so much easier. We have a list here of themes you can choose from, or you can also come up with your own.

List of themes:

Cold
Colorful
