This is the amazing petpetpet guide. What are petpetpets you ask? They are, basically, pets for your petpets. Most of them resemble little bugs, but they're much cooler than that.

As a warning: I don't play as often as I did before, and so this will not be updated as often. I still get on to check on things, so don't be afraid to shoot your questions to me.


Petpetpets are not found in neopets shops. Most petpetpets can be bought through the shop wizard, but some are a little too expensive, so they're on the trading post and auctions instead.
Another way to get one is to find one through a random event. The event will say something like "Ohhh how cute. It seems -petpetname- has got a -petpetpetname- in its mouth. Have you been feeding it lately?
If you get this event, consider yourself lucky. (:

Unfortunately, they're not as easy to attach as petpets. So, there are two different methods of attaching them. As a note, petpetpets disappear when you take the petpet off, and they are lost forever. Because of this, make sure you want the petpetpet on the pet, or make sure you're willing to lose said petpetpet if you change your mind.


Change the pet you want the petpetpet to attach so that it is your active pet. This way it will jump on the right petpet. Then, put the petpetpet in your inventory with several other junk items (so that it is not stolen in a random event). Then, you hold the f5 button and check every minute or so to see if the petpetpet has attached yet. Once it's on there, congratulations!

So I've been asked some random questions about petpetpets. I've compiled them into this section. You most definitely can. The only problem with this is that if you continue to zap the petpet, you run the risk of the petpet disappearing. If your petpet disappears, your p3 will go along with it as well. So, yes, you may attach a p3 to a zapped petpet, but don't zap it anymore unless you want to chance losing your p3.


Honestly...it is really random. I've seen people try for a minute and I've seen people try for over a year. My guess would be that it's helpful to have more than one of the p3 in your inventory (along with a bunch of junk, of course) and then refresh like no other. Just don't give up!
