1. Team size is irrelevant.

TY, TM, and VP are very small teams, for example. A small team is NOT necessarily a bad team.

2. Other team's raw scores don't matter.

Because scores are somehow adjusted for team size, we could have 50k YYB and lose to a team with 15k YYB. We can never be sure that we're going to win, so keep playing! The reason we make goals is to BEAT our own goals and put ourselves in position to win the match, not to have a higher raw total than our opponent.

3. Play hard against every team.

We will move up in the standings if we maintain focus every day, even against "easy" teams. Playing an "easy" team just means you should play harder, for a sweep. There are teams we can definitely beat, and we can't afford to drop too many points to them.

4. Don't panic if scores are low.

The only thing you can do to fix that problem is to play more! A lot of the time, scores comes in later in the day, too.

5. This is a team effort.

We have some players who /do/ play very hard every day, and give our scores a big boost. That being said, other teams have these "hoarders" as well, so it basically means that our average players posting scores throughout the day are very important to separate us from the competition! Our All Stars can only do so much.

6. All the side games are worth equal points in the standings.

YYB counts for 9 standings points, side games are 3 each. Draws are worth 1/3 of a win. People often say that SLSL is worth more, but this has not been the case since AC3.

7. YYB is always the priority.

Granted, we often have to push hard in a side game or two, but YYB is the MOST important game by far. If we lose it, we lose the match.

8. Don't argue with your own teammates!

If you disagree with someone, handle it politely. If someone is really being rude or trolling, simply ignore them and report them to get them off of our board.

9. Stay positive, but don't get over-confident.

Our team has a lot of strength - we beat DC and drew with MQ, both great teams - but we have a problem with getting complacent and not playing as hard as we should. We can't afford to only play our best after we have bad losses. This sort of goes along with #3, but... Keep playing your best and STAY POSITIVE. We still have several weeks left, and trust me, we're not about to quit. We CAN win, but we have to WORK for it, every day.

10. Ignore trolls/spammers.

They're just a distraction. Report them, ignore them, and keep playing.

Now, many people have noticed that our team lacks organization. Starting today (6/12), we're going to try to fix that. We've decided to start sending out daily mail to as many KI members as possible, with a plan for each day. This will allow us to implement strategies much more effectively for the whole team. If you ever disagree with the plan, have questions, or want to help, NM me (neon3002). NEVER discuss the plan with anyone outside of KI or outside of a private NM; that would kind of ruin this. Do not send this plan to anyone. If someone on our own team asks for the plan, tell them to NM me, just in case they're not supposed to see it. These will be sent out every day from now on, no later than about 5 AM NST. If you don't want the mail, let me know.

This effort could be extremely helpful to the team. Please do your best to play as much as possible each day, and to follow the strategy carefully. If you have suggestions or disagree with something, just let me know. If you'd like to help with sending out the mail every day, also NM me.
