The One-Sixth Way Mark

...and the plot is just starting - November 5 2007

NaNoWriMo started a few days ago and I'm already a fourth through the word count. My goal today is to make even more headway -- in my plot and the word count. Introductions of my many characters have been taking a while and are probably not done yet.

They're all named, which is fortunate. Actually, they've all been named since the 1st! Except some characters who are finally going to come into the story today. May they pad my word count well.

I must admit, writing a villainless character-driven plot is not something I'm used to. But as long as there are conflicts, everything my characters do is plot-related! Yay.

I Have a Plot, But...

...in need of names - October 27 2007

Here's my intro to NaNoWriMo! Okay, it's completely separate from Neopets in all ways, but it's quite appropriate. NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, which is November. You're supposed to write a 50,000 word novel in thirty days. There's a website for it, so you can search for it.

As it happens, I participated last year and won. Yay!

Well, this is my first post! To quote the creator of this petpage template. I don't really have much of interest to talk about, but maybe the novelty will amuse people.

Lookups...

...the original theme of the page - October 27 2007

Yeah, about that.

I had a petpage here about "Lookup Secrets" which was essentially a guide to making your lookup compatible with Firefox. It also included an article about general lookup tips. The guide itself was rather out of date -- I had written all/most of it both before I greatly expanded my coding skills and the new layout, and didn't really have the gumption to redo it.

It's been linked in various places, though, so I have been wanting to replace it with something more recent. Well, this counts, doesn't it? It's not really about lookups (or so I know) but at least it involves advanced layouts as far as Neopets is concerned.

So, if you came to see Lookup Secrets, I'm sorry, but I'm not bringing it back. The tips section of it was published in the Neopian Times, however, so you can still read the most useful part of it here.
