Welcome!
I'm glad you've decided to visit!

This is a picture of me, Dragon17768, but you can just call me Dragon for short.
My Life
I didn't always be a Ghost Krawk. In fact, I wasn't always a Neopet. I started life out as a petpet, actually. I don't remember much of my early life, but I do remember when Werelupe17 found me in the Trading Post. Unlike my former owners, who only bought and sold me, Werelupe17 actually gave me to one of her own pets. She liked the idea of having a rare petpet. I liked being a petpet and was glad she didn't force me to become a neopet. I had a happy life, occasionally venturing out of Werelupe's Neohome in the Haunted Woods with my master, Darahawk.
Eventually, the time came when I was tired of being a petpet and longed to be as large, intelligent, and strong as a Neopet. Darahawk, became concerned when all I did was mope. He told Werelupe that I wasn't myself, who in turn asked me what was wrong. When I told her that I wanted to be like Darahawk, she instantly had an answer. "I'll take you to Krawk Island, where you can be a big Neopet, if you want," She said to me. I did want to become a big Neopet, so away to Krawk Island we went. We went to a place called Fungus Caves, where I instinctively knew to eat some of the fungus there--actually it didn't taste too bad--and I suddenly felt strange. I felt different, and things looked different too. I didn't realize what had happened until I turned to Darahawk and saw that I was taller than him!
The rest I can't remember well. If I press myself, I can remember my former life as a Neopet, before I became a Ghost, but it is vague and dreamlike. Now I haunt the Haunted Woods (no pun intended ^^), but I still live with the family I loved while I was still alive.
Inhabitants of the Haunted Woods
Enough about me! I'll tell you some about some of the more famous citizens of the Haunted Woods.
Brain Tree: Say the name "Brain Tree," and chances are people know who you're talking about. This tree has developed the ability to speak, and is always searching for knowledge. He may send you on quests for answers to his questions, but beware, as only the most cunning and intelligent Neopians usually are able to answer them. If you are intellectually-inclined and fancy yourself wise, then pay a visit to the Brain Tree!
Esophagor: Also well-known, the Esophagor is as hungry for food as the Brain Tree is for information. If you're feeling up for an adventure, then why not accept one of the Esophagor's quests? If you're able to satisfy his hunger with a few delicious items of his asking, then you'll be rewarded with items and riches!
Edna the Witch: This ancient Zafara witch keeps mostly to herself, mixing up and preparing different potions in her tower.
Often, she'll need ingredients for a certain spell or potion. If you're feeling up to it, climb up the stairs of the tower and agree to buy whatever is on her shopping list of items for her magical potion.
Eliv Thade: The infamous villain and master of puzzles, this kacheek's demise was actually brought about by the thing he loved--puzzles. He slowly became insane when he couldn't solve a puzzle one of his servants gave him. Even though he is not alive, his spirit lives on, haunting the halls of his castle. In fact, Eliv Thade even has a game based on him!
Haunted Woods Team: Yep, the team that won the Altador Cup was from our very own fine land of the Haunted Woods. Makes me proud to be a native of the Haunted Woods! *cough* Well, in spirit, at least. Psh, I can't believe that Darigon thought they could beat Haunted Woods. We are, afterall, the ORIGINAL baddies. ^_^ The first round of the Cup our team faced Kreludor, who were impressed with their Yooyuball prowess. In the second round they beat Brightvale in a landslide victory. In the semifinals, they faced the dreaded Krawk Island team, but they managed to give them a good match and beat them easily! In the face of their unbreakable defense, Darigon was no problem.
Meepits: Erm...Meepits are the most evi--*coughhackcough*--adorable petpets in the whole of the Neopia! Luckily for citizens of the Haunted Woods, the Meepits treat us pretty well, so we have nothing to fear. Not that there's anything to fear, of course! *sweatdrop* Everyone should own a meepit, so why don't you go buy your own pink, fuzzy bundle of innocence right now! Look at how cute they are! ^_^;;;;;
Tourist Attractions
Well, technically I don't know if these places could be called tourist attractions, since most Neopians that aren't from the Haunted Woods tend to avoid them. Ah well, they don't know what they're missing!
The Deserted Fairground: Undoubtedly the most fun place in the Haunted Woods. There is so much to do and see here! There's plenty of attractions, including the Wheel of Misfortune, Sidney's Scratchcards, the Coconut Shy, the Cork Gun Gallery, and the Bagatelle, not to mention all the great shops! Neopets with a sense of adventure should definitely not miss out on what the Deserted Fairground has to offer.

The Game Graveyard: Why not brush up on your Neopian history and play a few games that were available a long time ago? Even though you can't send your score in, get any neopoints, or get a high score, that shouldn't deter you from having fun! There are quite a few games that you should recognize, such as Meerca Chase 1, Destruct-o-match 1, and Ice Cream Factory, but there are also several that you may not have heard of before, like Scorchio's Quest 1 and 2.
Spooky Petpets: What's better than having a spooky petpet? At this shop all they sell is spooky petpets! Slorgs, Meepits, Sludgies, and more! The best souvenir you can get. In fact, I have my own spooky petpet, a droolik, of my own, and I absolutely adore him. ^_^ I'm still trying to save up for a ghost petpet paint brush though, so we can be look-a-likes!
Stone Battledome: Yep, this is for all you battledome pets out there. Haunted Woods even has its own battledome! Of course, so do the rest of the major worlds, but...still...are their's made of STONE?!?! Psh, I thought not! To tell you the truth, I'm not much of a battledome pet myself, but Nirothil certainly is! He's the lab rat of the family, and is always different colors and species and even genders!
Haunted House: Feeling brave? Than why not try to go through the Haunted House? Ordinary Neopians (when I say ordinary, I mean not from the Haunted Woods ^^) usually chicken out before the end, but maybe you can save your precious Neopian reputation and make it to the end. Don't say I didn't warn you though, braver Neopets than you have run out terrified. Personally, I don't see what the big fuss
is about, I quite enjoy a nice stroll through the Haunted House on weekends.
Fetch!: Aww, even I feel bad for the poor Mutant Blumaroo that is constantly being ordered around by his owner. Pet abuse, anyone? If you're feeling sympathetic, generous, or simply want to be rewarded for a good deed, then why not help out this poor Blumaroo? This game is pretty easy, even on the hard difficulty, so don't be afraid to try it. Amazingly, it's not scary at all--usually. ^^'

Halloween Pets

Now that you've seen the wonderful land that is the Haunted Woods, I bet you're dying to get a piece of it. So, why not paint your pet Halloween? They are delightfully spooky, and give you a taste of Haunted Woods no matter where you are! I'd better warn you though, once you paint your pets Halloween they usually become mischievous and may play pranks on you or other pets!
The most obvious way to obtain a Halloween pet
is to buy a Halloween Paint Brush and paint your pet with it. Halloween Paint Brushes are very expensive though, and can be only bought on the Trading Post, where they can cost anywhere from 800,000 to 1,000,000 Neopoints!
