SIMONE'S SPLAT LAYOUT TUTORIAL
every day is saturday night, but i can't wait for sunday morning

Hello! Welcome to my layout tutorial. This tutorial was made in Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 and works for all programmes with a higher version. It may also be translated into PSP. Please credit me. No credit will result in no more layout tutorial. So please be respectful. It took a while to get everything here together and I wouldn't want someone to take advantage of it.

This tutorial has been inspired by another tutorial by Joy (heartsinhollwood)

COLOURS

The colours above will be our colour palette. Apart from these colours, we will also be using black (000000), white (ffffff) and light blue (B7E6FF).

To complete the layout tutorial, you will need:

We will be using light yellow (FEFFBB) for these brushes.
Put on a variety of these brushes onto your layer. If you have any brushes similar to these, you can add those in too.
Set this layer to Soft Light.

STEP ELEVEN

If you have any small text brushes, stamp them on with dark blue (4A29AB) and set them to Overlay.

Duplicate this layer and set the new one to Colour Burn rather than Screen.

STEP FOURTEEN

With turquoise (2A97AB), you can put on some more vector brushes.
Outline them with a 1px dark blue border on the outside. Make sure the border is on a new layer.
Set the turquoise vectors to Colour Burn and the dark blue border to Colour Dodge at 100%
Reselect the turquoise vectors, and overlay a diagonal pattern at 20%.

STEP FIFTEEN

We're almost done!!
Select your Airbrush tool and set the width to 50 (you can adjust the width if you'd like) and the hardness to 100.
Make your foreground colour dark purple (7D2092).
Draw a random shape (i chose to do a circular design) and set it to Overlay.
Make sure that the design doesn't go too much off of the center of your layout.

STEP SIXTEEN

Creat a white rectangle on the layout.
Give the rectangle a dark purple (7D2092) 4px border.
Take out your lasso tool again, and reduce the feathering to 20.
Circle on edge of the rectangle, and press delete until the rectangle begins to blend in with the layout.
Reduce the opacity of the rectangle to 72%

STEP SEVENTEEN

Open up your psd, and resize it so that the height of the psd is 500px, then paste it on to your layout.
On a new layer, give the rectangle a black 4px border and set the border to Overlay.

STEP EIGHTEEN (AKA LAST STEP!!)

Using turquoise (2A97AB), select the text tool (usually a "T") and using the font "Blackjack" from swimchick, write the name of your guild.
Set it to Hard Light.
Give it a 1px white border on the outside.
*Optional* Add a shadow effect to make it more 3D.
Next, using white, select font "04b_03" and write something along the lines of:
Layout by YOURNAME (YOURUSERNAME)
Thanks to Simone (__falloutgirl)'s tutorial, swimchick.net, and outspoken-kate.com

Give the text a black border and position wherever you'd like.
