Years ago, a comet harboring a unique form of life crashed into the world. Sadly, only a single female survived, the rest of her family perished. She is the last remaining Domentic. They call her Dome.

Domes species is an extremely rare, odd collection of space dwelling creatures. They live in tight family groups. Their home sweet home is a comets frozen body. Each group has a unique calling. Domes family group were known as the Domentics. She inherited the name Dome through them.

The species genus is miraculously spread throughout the cosmos, each group to their own comet, each with their own unique adaptations. All are female, there are no males amongst them. The species reproduce in much the same way that corals do. They release a very fine mist, filled with hundreds of microscopic gametes. These are either released into space or adjacent to another, depending on the population upon the comet. This occurs only once every six hundred years. When the gametes meet they join and form a Zygote, the first stage of an embryo. Over two years the baby grows within a rock hard, clear, egg like pod. Upon birth the new born has the ability to fend for itself and is often required to for the first month or so before joining the family group.

Though thier genus is wide spread, this does not stop them sharing one thing in common - They are cold blooded and their bodies naturally radiate like dry ice. And as such, they continuously emit a cold, smokey vapor from their coats. Dome is no different in this aspect, but within her group she was the only pure white one with pale blue shadings. But all Domentics share the gene that gives them the slanted face, giving her that delightful snowshoe rabbit type expression. Their eyes are small and virtually colourless. Domes pupils are white and her iris's are a pale glassy blue; her sisters vary from red to purple.

Dome has a unique ability. These are often the same throughout her species. Where ever moisture is readily available she is able to manipulate it in such a way that it can turn from liquid to solid. And vice versa. She has a hyper sensitive Sensory system, making her highly sensitive to smells, touch, taste and sound. Domes species do not eat like normal creatures, but they still require sustenance in order to exist. They feed off of the cold; ice and water. This provides all the energy they need. Although, Domes otherwise immortal being is highly sensitive to heat. She prefers the cold as it keeps her healthy and alive. But Dome IS able to tolerate a certain amount of heat, but only to a point. With too much heat and without water Dome would certainly die.

Dome is well known for her highly inquisitive mind. Her new life consists mainly of long distance travels across new and exciting terrains, seeking to quench her endless thirst for knowledge. Another thing she searches for is companionship. Her species were a very social and family orientated one. Being the only Domentic left, Dome craves companionship more than ever.
