ZOMG look!

Lect's page has been conquered and taken over by the Adoption Agency workers. He is working on getting it back with some devilish scheme but till then, you'll have to bear with it. ^^ Anything willed it to be so, and Lect is trying to argue with her and get his page back. Considering that he's a good orator, it shouldn't be too hard. Till then he's being held captive and used as a ferocious guard for the agency. But since you're here... *pushes you towards homeless pets* see if you like any of 'em? ;)

So you wanna adopt a pet?

So you finally stumbled upon this page, feeling more than half-confused and ve-eery curious. If you're looking for your next little pet to love, you've come to the absolutely right place. The pets put up n this page are looking for their forever homes. Feel free to take a look around and, well I dunno... maybe apply? :)

Chill out, kids. I don't bite. Most of the times. ;) If you like any of these pets, do apply. Everyone gets a fair chance. But first, there are RULES. Yes, the dreadful four letter R-word. *gasp* They're put down here for you to follow. Old Lect here doesn't take kindly to those who break them.

This is sooo humiliating. I feel highly demeaned. *gets poked* Er I mean, RAWR!

Anyway, just read the rules, follow them and you'll be fine. Don't let him scare you - that's what he wants.

For those who don't want to read the page completely, the mega-important stuff is in bold. See how nice I am. ;)

Da Rules

1. Your account must be at least 4 moths old.
That's a neopets rule, and personally I think it shows commitment.

2. You must have less than four pets on the account you want to adopt my pet
Pounding another pet for mine is not good. Who knows you might do the same to my foster some day? Dr.Death is a no-no.

3. Neomail applications are preferred.
In fact, they're almost compulsory. I don't want you to shove spiffy graphics into my face 'kay? I want it in black and white: a simple neomail or even a series of neomails. No petpages.
If at all, you can put up your series of neomails on a petpage with only paragraph coding (p tags). No more, please. I would like to be unbiased in my decision.
If you really feel the need to do it, I do not forbid you, but I'd rather you didn't. And YES, that's a hint – a hint to do a neomail application.

4. If you really must do a petpage, no stealing layouts!!
Look here. Look at this page. It's a premade WITH THE CREDIT. I'm no coding genius and I use premades myself. It will not reduce your chances. Just because you aren't a coder doesn't mean you won't take good care of the pet. And if that is the case, you can just do a neomail. *points to Rule 3*

5.No chatspeak please.
If U typ lyk dis den da app 1s r3j3ct3d. Chatspeak is a no-no. I don't even see why people type like that . It's much easier the normal way.
And please check your grammar and punctuation before you send it in. I will not waste my time trying to read SOMething typed Like This Because its not Puctuated dont u see?! Really. I'm illiterate in chatspeak.
Smileys are fine, I'm addicted to them myself xD .

6. Use their correct name and gender.
Translation: 'It' is a no-no. Spell their name right.

7. The pet will/can go to absolutely anyone.
There's no difference between RPers, writers, artists or anything. Everyone has a fair chance. 8. Regarding repainting or morphing, yes you may do so with any of them
I understand there are some pets who have wonderful names but unlucky zaps.

9.I will be basing more than half my decision on the state of your current accounts.
This is all about showing me how good you are to your pets and how you treat them well. If you think your pets' petpages or lookups are bare then you need to polish them up a bit. Crying pets will not get you very far.

9. After much thought, I think I ought to put in this rule. It's the most important one: HAVE FUN!

Seriously. This whole website is about having fun. Don't be too disappointed if you don't get the pet you wanted. There is s always next time; always more pets.
I can't guarantee that you'll get the pet. I try my best to find a good owner. If you didn't make the mark, feel free to neomail me for advice on how to improve your application for next time. I'd be glad to give some advice. :)

Alrighties then, there's a list of things I need you guys to include in your applications. Please fill out this questionnaire and neomail it to me:

1. List all you accounts including your frozen/iced ones. Tell me why you were frozen if that's the case. Don't be afraid. We all make mistakes. If you've decided not to that again, I'll understand. It won't reduce your chances. Also tell me which account the pet will go on.
2. Tell me a little about you. The more I know you, the more I trust you. :)
3. Will the pet have a character? What will it be?
4. Why do you want (insert pet name here)?
5. What will you do if you get chosen as the owner of the pet? What do you have to offer them?
6. Why should you be chosen? Now here's a nice section where you can brag all you like. Go ahead and blow your trumpets.
7. Give me one example out of all your current pets as to how this one would be treated.

Sending Details

Okay so here's a couple more things.

All applications/FAQs should be sent in to my foster account which is wildsnowdrop . Sent anywhere else, they probably won't be checked very often or accidentally deleted. After all the hard work you've put into them it will all go waste.
If you make a mistake and send it to my other accounts, resend it to wildsnowdrop telling me that you sent it to another of my accounts by accident. I'll understand if that's the case.

Clearly title all Neomails as below:

FAQs: FAQ
Applications : Application for (Pet Name)
Extension requests: (Your Username) wants an Extension
Neomails that tell me you're going to apply: Going to Apply for (Pet Name)'.

Please send me a mail in advance to tell me how many mails long your application is. That way if you're sending twenty different neomails, I'll be prepared. Just don't flood my inbox. :)

All applicants have to send me a neomail to tell me they're applying. At least a week before the deadline. As soon as you decide to apply would be best though. ;)

Do not send in your applications after the deadline. I understand if there is some special problem but don't make a habit of it. And deadline means that the date set is according to NST. From 12:00 a.m. NST the next day onwards I will take no more applications.

For petpage applications, I use Internet Explorer 7 and have a 1024x768 px resolution. I also have Firefox but Internet would be best. But please, neomail would be better.

I shall be giving enough time to everyone. If you require an extension, send me an NM at wildsnowdrop and I can grant you a few more days depending on your problem and the present condition of your application.

Within a week of submitting your application, you will be contacted if you've been accepted. If not then I'm afraid you've been rejected. Sorry. But there's always next time! ^_^

Please do not NM me asking if you've been accepted as I get a lot of neomails and probably don't have the time. If I don't neomail you back within a week, I'm afraid you've definitely been rejected.

In all probability these pets are definitely UFA but I will keep them if I do not find the right owner. Yes, they are fosters, but that doesn't make them any less important. If there is no/little interest I will start labbing them again when I get the chance.

If there is any such pet on this page I will put it down in their details that they are being labbed. Please NM me if you want me to stop labbing them and you want to apply. Thank you.

Ans. Is (insert petname here)'s picture on this page? They they are UFA. If not, then don't bother applying. I luffs my permies, kiddos :).

2. My (insert petname here) for your (insert petname here)?
Ans. NO! I do not trade. I only adopt out pets on this page.

3. What language do you speak?
Ans. Er...I can only properly do English so I'm very sorry to those people who would like to apply and are from countries where their main language isn't English. Perhaps someone could translate for you? :)

4. What about nicknames?
Ans. Well, what about them? I don't mind nicknames in the least so go ahead and use them.

5. Why only five questions?
Ans. Hmm. Dunno. I don't get any more than these few basic ones so... and I couldn't think up any more either. Well, I don't know, writer's block maybe. ;)
