The Balloons You are taking a walk around the nearest park. The trees are a beautiful colour this time of year. You take time noticing it's beauty when a clump of balloons cross the sky. No one else is looking at them or even noticing the colourful floaters. They are going fast in the air above and you decide to follow them. You Chase the balloons until they gently float down to your reach. They have taken you a long way starting from the park. Now you look around, noticing you are in a stranger's lawn. A rainbow pinwheel is the only decoration in their yard. Although the grass is at perfect colour and height.
As you observe your surrounding a young kau gallops up to you. Her eyes widen at the sight of the balloons in your hands. You look down at them, then back at the little girl. "Those are pretty." is all that comes from her mouth. "Would you like them?" you ask automatically. A smile grows on the small kau's face. Her teeth do not show but it is the widest smile you have ever seen. I guess that is a yes is all you think as you give them to her.

Goshkins is one of my bestest friends along with being a sister. She is always there for me and we do every thing together, including Lea. When I think back to my favorite moments, she is always there with me. Just a few days ago Goshkins, Lea, Snoopy, and I went to the park for a picnic. We had sandwiches and watermelon. Those are the most greatest memories.
SugarNDhoney is also my closest friend. Everyone calls her Lea for it is her middle name. All three of us are bonded as siblings and friends. Whatever we do, we do together. She is sweet to every one although loves to play. I often rough house with Lea though, even though I usually lose. She has had lots of practice, her being a gelert and all.

The Meadow My old home was a valley although placed on a small hill. Our herd often stayed here unless food source went down in which we would move but always return when the grass grew once again. I remember the big tree my mom and I would sit under to eat apples. I remember that same tree over me when I said my first words. That tree was special to me. It's leaves were the original green of nature and the fruit it bared were the most appetising. As for the meadow, it was just an accessory to the large plant. Giving it a surrounding, a reason to be. Grass being taller than us calves but we could barely reach our heads over it's lining. We played on that hill, covered in various greens. We ran, galloped, moved in that wonderful place. We hid and seeked there. We did almost everything, it was our home. Until the day they burned it all......
Remember that day we were blessed with your presence.... It was a beautiful day in the meadow, sun shined gloriously amongst the tall grass. A herd of kaus covered the area, grazing on the juicy vegetation. Two of which were coupled and were almost ready to be graced with a calf. They did not know however that the day had come. Every kau had a specific colour some being red, some being yellow, some being spotted, and other patterns. The mother was a light blue while the father was a mixture of colour, a rainbow of sorts. All of the kaus blended including the mother although she was slightly larger with the young one in her stomach. As she chewed her meal a sharp pain grabbed at her side. A violent noise escaped her mouth, trying to make some one come to help. The father lifted his head at the sound, realising it was his partner. His hooves clipped the ground leaving soft prints as he ran for her. When he reached her, others had already gathered and she had already went into labor. Trying to comfort her, he stood by her side until the suffering ended.
A smile spread across the faces of the new official parents. The mothers tears of pain formed into joy as she observed her child. A beautiful baby girl with resemblance from both of them. "What should we name her?" The mother asked, her eyes gleaming into her calf's although the question was toward the father. He looked at her, first time taking his eyes off his new child. "I don't know," His words shook slightly, tears growing in his eyes. "But she is gorgeous." He wanted to be brave but a feeling told him this one time, he needed to cry. The mother still watched her calf wiggle next to her. As a kau, you could usually stand right after being born. The young one had troubles though causing 'Daddy' to use his snout to help her stand. His soft nose felt warm compared to her cold body but once she was up she got distracted by the brand new surroundings including the adult kaus in front of her. While all this was happening a smile stayed put on her face. Her parents gladly smiled back tears still in their eyes but fading, getting used to the wonderful little girl. The crowd had all left by now, but the family did not seem to notice. They were to focused on each other. "I love you," The mother spoke in a gentle tone. "Both."
A few days had past and yet another sunny day presented itself. Not too warm and with a slight breeze. "This is a perfect day." The mother had said to the calf, taking in a breath. The little one just stared back, not yet understanding speech. The adult gave a small grin at her actions then leaned her head down for a patch of grass. She chewed her meal slowly watching her baby. The small kau mooed softly to her mom. Her gentle cries turned into whines of hunger very quick, forcing the parent to Moo back. Symboling a breakfast call to her child. Her daughter fed off of her milk as she chew the vegdies.
Oh, sweetheart... Today is the day." She remembered scheduling a specific day to name her young so the parents could do it together. Looking around to find him a familiar kau trotted towards them. "Hey honey," giving his partner a kiss then continued "You didn't name her without me did you?" He spoke jokingly, knowing she would not have done so. The mother opened her mouth to speak was cut short by the sounds of
As you wander through the halls of their house you notice one of the walls is covered in pictures. The frames are beautiful and unique different from one another. Most of them appear to be the little kau. She smiles sweetly in every single one, the balloon next to her. You think of why she even carries around the rainbow floater. A silver Frame catches your eye, beautifully carved. Something is wrong with it though, it is empty. You look around searching for the missing picture but you find nothing. Maybe it was meant to be empty but again you wander. All the other pictures are pretty which makes you mostly forget of the odd one.
