The Dream Pet Project

The Dream Pet Project works to connect generous Neopians who zap pets with the lab ray and put them in the pound for other Neopians to adopt, and those Neopians who have a pet they have always wanted (a dream pet!)

I started this project because a very long time ago I saved up for the lab ray and started zapping pets from the pound until they were painted, then returned them to the pound for others to adopt. However, many of the pets I painted ended up with owners who did not take good care of them, and have since stopped playing neopets :(

Although this can still happen, with this program at least pets are going to owners who truly desire the pet and are not just adopting the pet because they are painted!

So How Does It Work?

We have a team of zappers using the lab ray each day, zapping their pets in order to acquire painted pets. When a zapper does get a painted pet if he or she doesn't want to keep the pet they check the list of dream pets to see if anyone is looking for that pet species in that color. If there is a user looking for that pet the zapper can contact the user through jlsparklyqt or directly, and if both parties agree an adoption can be set up and a wish will be granted!


We also have a team of Scouts that look thorugh the neopets pound board and through adoption centers run by other neopians and guilds to look for dream pets!

Rules

1. All Neopets rules apply to any correspondence associated with this project, please be respectful.
2. No financial gain may be associated with this project, zappers may not accept any items, NP or any sort of payment from recipients of dream pets. This is strictly against neopets rules.
3. If more than one person has the same dream pet pets will be given on a first come first serve basis.
4. The owner of the pet (the zapper) has full custody of the pet, has the right to refuse any trade, and can choose the recipient of the pet. We encourage zappers to be fair, but it is up to each individual zapper to choose the best home for their pet. Criticism of zappers will not be tolerated.
5. Above all be respectful, courteous and treat others as you would like to be treated. I do not anticipate having any problems with this in starting this project, however should a problem arise it could result in removal from participation in this project.
