Sat, February 11th, 2012 ★ OMG TUTORIALS!

Really quick blog before bed! I'm adding tutorials to the site! 8D I'm not promising a whole lot of them nor am I promising they'll be any good but I'll try my best! I've been thinking about adding tutorials for months now and when Pip asked me to make some yesterday I kinda took that as the push I needed to actually make them. Now I'm not the world's best teacher so I'm sorry if the tutorials confuse you. Just let me know and I'll try to make them more understandable. But that's all for now. I might make another tutorial tomorrow after work. Laters!

Wed, February 8th, 2012 ★ So I've been gone a while....

And I really didn't mean to just disappear but life just got a little crazy. We're short staffed at work and I've had to work extra shifts. So when I get home and get on Neo I just log back off cause Neo just isn't interesting to me. =/ Not for the time being right now. I'm just going through another phase. I tend to get like this when I'm over stressed/over worked in real life. That's when I'll just go play on other sites or chat with my friends. Another reason I haven't been on is I've finally got an Xbox 360! 8D And I got Skyrim! So I've been playing that, well not recently cause of work but I have been playing other

things! So between work and my video games I really don't have time for Neo. Nor am I interested in the site right now. But I haven't stopped making graphics and I plan on doing some, maybe just a few, V-Day graphics. So keep an eye out for those. I've already posted two, one of which is in this blog. o 3o That's all for now, kids! Laterz!

So, you want to know more about me huh? Well, when I'm not working or hanging out with my two best friends, I'm most likely doing something on my computer. Whether that's chatting in my guild, Scarlet Memories, or making graphics, I always try to keep myself busy. Often I'm swamped with work in real life and online but somehow I make it all work. x3 My favorite Pokemon of all time is Umbreon. I know it's not "original" to have an Eeveelution as your favorite Pokemon, but I really don't care. I'm obsessed with My Little Pony and Pinkie Pie is the best pony ever... next to Princess Luna of course. cx I love to abuse smilies and I use them quite often. I love my guild to death and all my friends in it. I could honestly go on and on about myself but that seems kinda pointless. Site History

Dark Light was created on July 3, 2008. And in all honesty, the site was pathetic. The graphics were low quality, the layout was some premade one that I edited, and there was no real order to anything. But through the years I've learned what it takes to make a good site. And so now, after spending much time improving my skills and never giving up on the one part of Neo that I truly love, Dark Light is the site it is today. DL went from being a site started by a girl who had only recently learned of graphic design to a site that's more than just a hobby to me. DL is my baby, next to my dog and my guild. While I've had other sites, Eternal Mayhem and Rave, DL was the only one that I really cared about.

For those of you who have seen the site grow and develop over the years, you know that DL(and myself) have come a long way since the beginning. My standards have risen and what passes for "high quality" to me has to be something spectacular and artfully created. DL now stands as more than just a site, but a showcase that I use to display my graphics and offer them to other Neopians to use. As time goes on, I will continue to improve my skills in order to provide others with amazing graphics.

What program do you use?
I use MS Paint and GIMP.

Do you make lookups/petpage/shop/guild layouts?
I can make petpages and guild layouts. But I only make these layouts for myself and my friends.

Can I be your neofriend?
If you're one of my affiliates, yes. I'm picky about my neofriends only because I've had too many that have stabbed mE in the back.

Is your guild, Scarlet Memories, only for graphics makers?
No. We are an anime/manga/Japanese culture guild. If you want more information, check out our webbie.

Can I alter one of your graphics?
No. I like the way my graphics are. Whether they are premades or requested items, you cannot change them in anyway.

Someone has taken the credit off of one of your graphics. Can I give you their username?
Of course!

Do you make awards for other sites?
Yes. After getting so many requests for them, I decided I should.

Projects

Here are all my projects for DL. I'm getting rid of all my old, low quality graphics in favor of new, higher quality graphics. It will take some time, so please be patient.

Make more fake avatars that do not have square borders.
Goal: 100 Fake Avatars.

Make better quality button bases to replace the old ones.

What's New With Tina

Anime Zoids: Chaotic Century Oh Zoids. How I love you. x3 I said I was going to watch every series/season of this anime and I will. I already rewatched New Century Zero, which is my favorite. cx Now to get the others under my belt. Crayon Shin-chan I blame my brother for this one. He started rewatching Shin-chan on Netflix and now I want to rewatch Shin-chan. Digimon This... I wanted to rewatch this when I started to make my own DigiDestined. xD Which I did... but it's so much more fun to create a character while you rewatch an anime from your childhood. x3 Sailor Moon Been working in this one for a while. There's so many episodes, but it's okay. Sailor Moon is the chizz! Puella Magi Madoka Magica I've already watched this but I'm still in love with it. x3 Already started making icons for the series. Air Finally got around to watching this and man it's awesome! 8D Almost done with the series, which means there will be some Air graphics soon! Chi's Sweet Home OMG IT'S SO CUTE! I have Yume to thank for getting me into this anime. XD

Books Mockingjay Because I must finish The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. Why? Because it's awesome and the movie comes out next year! 8D But I seriously wish they would hurry up and make the Maximum Ride movie and stop pushing back the date. T^T Kissed By An Angel It's an adorable love story by Elizabeth Chandler. Didn't think I would like it at firs, but then I started to read it and I was pretty much hooked.

Games Pokemon SoulSilver MUST. FINISH. THE. GAME. I have never left a Pokemon game unbeaten. EVER. After I beat SS, I'm gonna finish Platinum. Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days Same idea, must finish the game! The Organization. I must know what happens! Pokemon Black Oh yeah, I've started playing Pokemon Black again. XD Why? Cause I'm trying to obtain a decent collection of Pokemon on there. I have like 20 something Pokemon.... and I've already defeated the Elite Four. What does that tell you? That I've played the entire game with pretty much the same Pokemon right? Yeah, cause I did. 5th Gen. Pokemon just aren't that great. Must get some of my favorites in the game! It's the only game I can use wifi with! DX

What I'm Loving Pokemon OMGHHKP I AM EVEN MORE OBSESSED WITH POKEMON THAN EVER BEFORE NOW! Why? Because I have a long list of goals for Pokemon Black that I am going to complete! DJ Hixxy BEST DANG DJ EVAR! Fer cereal, kids. Go look him up. Like NAO! DO IT! I've recently rediscovered my love for him and his amazingly awesome music that makes me wanna dance all night long. Mhm. deviantART Been spending all my free time there. Just can't stop stalking my lovelies and posting art. x3
