Bane's Story


I'm not a big fan of pound-surfers for a lot of reasons, and here's an example of one of them. Having just completed my lab map, I was super excited, as many people would be. I decided to search the pound for pets that have been floating around for awhile so I could lab them and put them back in the pound in hopes that they would more quickly find a new owner. As I was looking, I happened across a well-named blue jetsam, and out of curiosity, I checked to see who was lucky enough to adopt him. The jetsam was the person's only pet except for a red lupe.



A few minutes later, I found a very familiar-looking red lupe named Wolfbane159.



I couldn't recall where I had seen him, at first, but then it dawned on me that I had seen him on the lookup of the very person who adopted the blue jetsam a few minutes earlier. I visited the lookup to make absolutely sure it was the one I was thinking of, and sure enough, the lupe was gone; replaced with a well-named blue tonu.



I decided to see if the owner wanted his pet back, but I wasn't too hopeful. After confirming that it was his pet, I told him that I would be more than willing to give him back, but if he didn't want him, I was going to lab him. The owner didn't respond after this, so I decided to keep Bane.



Sure enough, after the first couple labs, he turned faerie, and I decided to put him up for adoption on the HC.







So many awesome people applied to adopt Bane; I have to admit, it was a very tough decision. I finally decided on armedpupz, an aspiring comic artist, who I knew would be a great owner. She's now working on a comic starring Bane. It's pretty awesome what she's done so far, and I hope it makes it into the NT sometime in the future. =^_^= Thanks, Sox, for being so awesome!
