Little Gilly - - - - The Storyteller - - - - Sophie Herself - - - - Ugly Bruno

The little Usul Gilly is lost in the Haunted Woods and ends up in a Gypsy Camp where a mustachioed Elephante tells the story of Neovia around the campfire. This story contains the mysterious Mr. Krawley who one day appears and offers a potion, that will solve everyone's biggest problem!
It turns out that the potion has horrible side effects. All of the inhabitants are furious and prosecute
the family who were the first to use this potion, since Mr. Krawley has disapeared.
The middle son, Reginald, takes his little sister Sophie into the woods to save her, she is the only one who didn't take the potion. The oldest son, Bruno, tries to keep the furious people on a distance, but they chase him into the woods. The rest of the family escapes to an empty, ramshackled house.
The other inhabitants then turn to the Spirit of Slumber who is willing to lift the curse,

Her Residence

No, Sophie does NOT live in Bogshot. That is just a yucky place
that can make your skin crawl even on a bright, sunny day...brr...

She lives in a little cottage outside of old Neovia, in the Werelupe Woods.
It is not particularly kept in good repair *thunder striking in the distance*
Er...I mean a beautiful, beautiful home! *sigh*

Sophie's Quiz

You might wonder how this site can exist, since Sophie does not like people intruding
in her private space and actually just doesn't like people at all...
Well, she gave permission, but there were some strings attached.
Everything is checked and censured *cough*so much for freedom of speech...*cough*
One of her terms of agreement concerned testing her visitors,
so you must take part in a gruesomely difficult quiz....may Sophie's force be with you!

*whispers* The answers can be found at the bottom of this page...
Please, keep it a secret!

Her Precious

This Meowclops is definitely a lucky creature. He is by far the only one who isn't subject
to Sophie's evil moods *outbursting thunder again*
No, wait, not the stinkbeetle thing again, please! I just meant to say that your mood changes very quickly *and some thunder once more* Ah, whatever, I give up, stinkbeetle it is.

Yes, the followers of Meow. There are so many of them!
Seriously, be afraid of him, he might hurt somebody with that huge ego...ha!

But he is not the only one, if you're a really big fan of Sophie, you know she likes her Droolik too!

Neopian Times Stories

The Darkest Faerie

It's clear that Sophie is known as being a villain, in and around Neopia. Which is REALLY unfair.
Not only does she not harm people who leave her alone, she also does a lot of good work in several tales. Not only in the Tale of Woe as mentioned, which, I might add, explains entirely why she has always a grumpy state of mind (ha! no thunder this time missy, this is a positive insite in)!.
She has also helped Roberta and Tormund in 'The Darkest Faerie'. When they are out to find the Werelupe King, it is Sophie who will help them get past the giant skull guarding the Werelupe Den,
if they find her a raw Wartroot. When they return with it, she tells them about another Neopet
who she helped with entering the Werelupe Den. She gave him a necklace, unfortunately he was
up to no good and got buried alive. So she explains to them where they can find his crypt and
this necklace. Well, did Roberta and Tormund Ellis win this thing or what? :D

A Piece of Art

Perhaps it is not possible for you to own a Sophie Doll.
In that case TNT has made it possible to create your very own Sophie on a piece of paper!

Me and my Turmac obsession

A story by Bellanci the Tyrannian Moehog

For starters, big fans of that mean, big, lazy Turmaculus... leave! No, really, stop reading and leave! This is just not meant for you people!
There, that's better. Just you and me and my obsession. Ahem...let's just pretend I didn't say that, shall we? Just a bit frustrated at the moment, never mind. Let's talk about important stuff, like....Turmac!
NO...not 'Turmy'...last warning! That word is forbidden in this sacred little piece of Neopia. Wait, don't leave! I promise, I'll cut to the chase this time. I LIKE TURMAC. There, I said it.

It is a brave and intelligent little petpet, totally being overlooked. All because of his evil, bad tempered big brother. They even made a faerie and plushie version of Turmac! Well, I totally love plushie and faerie, but really, for a Turmac?! He ís a predator you know, a bit of respect would be in place.
Even worse, it is extremely unaffordable. I totally blame its big brothers reputation for that.
After pondering for months and months and eventually I decided that he had to go. The 'Big T', that is.

My first plan involved secretly moving him out of Meridell. Trust me, I've tried very hard.
But since I'm a Tyrannian Moehog and no bigger than like... 1/4 of Turmaculus, even moving him an inch caused great problems. Back problems, that is. After pushing and pulling for about an hour,
my owner, bossy as she is, said that I should mind my own business and leave him alone.
So that mastermind plan miserable failed. At least that's what my petpet Roman mumbled to me.
So it seemed to be the end of it all for the time being. Then I came up with a better idea. Technically, my big sister Lusani did, but I played an important role in developing it ofcourse.

So I went on my way. With my brave little Vacana following me, trying to keep up. I was all set.
I digged up my helmet and healing root out of my owners dusty SDB, stumbled upon some other things and off I went. Hmm...Astronomy Club, sounds like it can make someone see a whole lot of stars!
Finally, I arrived in Meridell. Again. Since we live in Neopia Central, it's quite a walk, but I had a big breakfast. What? Oh...sorry, I tend to get lost in details...
There he was, the 'Great Petpet Eater'. Snoring.
You walk for hours and then your opponent failed to wake up this morning. Imagine yourself, standing in the Battledome, ready to go and all of a sudden you see this plate: "We're very sorry, your opponent seemed to have fallen asleep, try again later." Is that bummer or what?!

What seemed to be the deal? The 'Lazy Giant' has special times when he's awake. Ridiculous.
So we killed some time rolling cheese and watching Turdles race. I can assure you, that last one is enough to make you fall asleep! So the both of us indeed fell asleep...shame... After a good rest we woke up and found out that we missed out on his time awake. So we headed home, disillusioned.
Defeated by a bunch of Turdles, in a way.

At home, I felt beaten. I'm already a bit blue, but now I really hit rock bottom. So Roman and I decided (well actually I made a decision and he sort of always agrees) that we had to put it out of our system. So we had loads of fun for a while. Playing Go!Go!Go!, relaxing on the beach, visiting Qasala
and playing hide-and-seek in the Haunted Woods.

In those Woods, the most amazing thing happened. It turned darker, the shape of the trees started to change and our surroundings became very soggy. So we really weren't getting anywhere. All of a sudden there was a huge explosion. Shiny and glittery dust sprinkled on top of us. Curious as I am, I dragged Roman, who was quite scared, with me and ran towards the center of the explosion.
Well, more like we crawled forward, because the swamp that surrounded us, was closing in. I didn't let that stop me and finally, we got to a cosy little cabin. Inside we found a very sloppy dressed Ixi sitting on the floor, looking astonished. A Meowclops was running in circles, probably scared by the explosion.

The Ixi saw us and started to laugh, "What a moment for an unexpected visit", she said. There was something about her that was both intriguing as it was frightening. I explained to her how we got there. By the time I finished, she got up and swept up the mess in one smooth move with some kind of wand. When I asked her about the explosion, she frowned and said that some people were just way too nosy.
We sat down and she turned out to be very friendly. She said that she could help me out with my Big T-problem. Out of the pocket of her skirt, she took a little bottle and gave it to me, saying "This might be the solution to your problem". Then she grinned and said "Or maybe not, but now you have to go." She said that the Meowclops would guide us as far as necessary and slammed the door behind us.

After minutes or maybe hours, I lost my sense of direction. Then the Meowclops started walking away from us, waving its tail and leaving us behind. In the distance, we could already hear the sound of the attractions of the Deserted Fairground. When we finally got there, we saw my big sister Lusani there, who took us home. I laid to rest that night, smiling at the foresight of finally defeating the 'Sleepy Giant'.
The next morning when we got up, Soozzz asked me what I was up to, getting up this early and heading towards Meridell. So I told her that we were going to Merry Acres Farm, looking for new fruits.
When we arrived, we started throwing with buckets of water and started shouting for hours and hours. At last, the 'Father of all Meridell Petpet Eaters', awoke. As Roman started tickling Turmaculus and he started lauging, I threw the potion in his mouth, which he gulped down. Shivering of excitement we watched him from a small distance...the UNTHINKABLE happened...He fell asleep.
This time, I really had it. That stupid Ixi, what did she know about potions and stuff anyway.
We just should have gone to Kayla straight ahead.

At this moment, I'm throwing darts at the stamp of 'Sir Eats-a-lot'. Which is harder than it sounds, because of its size. Just you wait! Me and my Vacana can have you for breakfast! Well, not really actually, it's more the other way around, but you know what I mean.
Last but not least, please do not neomail my owner with briljant ideas, I'm kind of not allowed
to pursue this plan. Keep going strong Turmac fans!

Definitely NOT the answers!
