Habit No.2: He runs. A lot. Even in a short distance, like 10 Metres.

History

This is going to take a while.

My name is Corriyn. When I was little, I lived on and island, as a slave. I had been born on that island. My father had tried to escape from the island before I was born, but had been caught and starved to death. I almost never got to see my mother during those days. She was always hard at work or being whipped. Until one day, I didn't see her at all. I didn't see her for about a month. And I'm pretty sure you know what happened. She died. I was furious at the fact that they had driven her into death.
So pretty much, it was just my best friend Tim and I. At night, we'd quietly whisper about ways to escape, although we both knew the risk of really trying to escape.

But one day, our masters were working us so hard in the scorching heat, a few of us died. Tim and I had been picking cotton, when Tim suddenly collapsed. I quickly glanced over, but our masters noticed quicker than me. Tim's master ran over.
Hey you, slave! I didn't say you could rest!" And with that, he started whipping Tim. But I knew that Tim had been tired. Tim started crying as the whip kept hitting his back, again and again. I couldn't just do nothing as my friend was being whipped and crying! I started growling, then I leap onto him, scratching and biting. ?I ripped a chunk of fur off of his face.
SOMEBODY GET THIS STUPID SLAVE OFF OF ME!" Tim's master yelled. Almost right after that, I was ripped off and hurled into a tree. I fell down to the ground, then was whipped till my back bled.
Back to work!" My master yelled at me. I ran back to Tim, and began working again.
Thanks." Tim said to me. I smiled.

The rest of the day was long and painful, but at last it was night. I was in the cabin with Tim. We were all forced to sleep on the floor. I was with Tim as usual.
We have to escape, Tim. I can't take this much longer." I whisper to him.
I know. I can't take much more either. I agree we should.. but when?" He asked me.
I thought for a moment. "Tonight."
What?!" He replied, almost forgetting to whisper. "Tonight?"
Yep. Tonight. We'll wait until around midnight, when it is very dark. then We'll leave."
But the door is locked!"
The window, Tim. It might be quite hard to open, but we can do it!" There was no more talk of the escape. We sat there. Tim was asleep, but I was wide awake, thinking about the escape. I knew of land near the island. When I was picking fruit from a very high tree, I saw it. Way, way far out- I could just barely see it.

I woke up Tim.
Huh? What is it, Corriyn?" He asked me.
Time to go." I replied. "I feel asleep, too. We slept past midnight. I'm guessing that it's around four A.M. The others will be forced to get up soon.
Tim bolted upright. We both started creeping towards the -blocked-
Wait!" I said, then went over and grabbed a necklace out of a corner, then came back. "It was my mother's." I told him. Tim nodded. We started trying to push open the -blocked- It suddenly came open, making a loud creaking noise. It was a wonder how it didn't wake anybody.

We silently slipped out the -blocked-
We're free!" Tim gasped.
No, not yet Tim. They'll find us in no time at all once they notice we're gone." I said, when I got an idea. I took off my mother's necklace, and held the rope so one of the teeth on it stuck out.
Be right back." I told Tim. I scurried into the forest. Ten minutes passed, when suddenly there was a bunch of growling and fighting noise coming from the forest. I came out dragging a dead baby bear. Tim stood in horror.
He must have gone to far from his mother, the mother didn't come." I said.
Tim shook his head. "You killed it.." He whispered sadly, but I guess I didn't notice. I ripped the bear's back open, then took some blood and scattered it down the outside of the cabin and in the grass.
Now we can go." I said, then started running. Tim ran beside me.
I don't get it..." He said.
I started to explain. "Now when they see that we aren't there, they'll think the bear ate us, then something killed it."

We arrived at the beach not a while after. I ran to the tree, and looked towards the island. The sun was starting to come up, so I could see better. As usual, the island was there. "That way!" I called down. I ran down the tree and into the water. "Come on Tim!" I called. Tim came into the water.
It's going to be a long way there." I said. He nodded. We started to swim in the direction of the island.

It felt like hours and hours had past, but we finally arrived at the island. We both lay exhausted on the beach. I crawled sleepily over to a low hanging branch, and set my necklace down. Tim and I then fell asleep.

I woke up to the sound of a branch moving around. It was morning. I woke Tim, and we ran from the area, somewhat frightened. We ran until we were in the middle of the island, when I realized I forgot my necklace. "Drat." I grumbled.
Maybe we should start looking for something to eat." Tim suggested, so we split up and began looking. About an hour passed, then I saw a whole bunch out birds fly up and I heard a yelp. I ran over to the area. The next thing I saw made me start to scream at the top of my lungs.
Meanwhile...
In the area the moving branch was heard by us, a little xweetok came out who looked a lot like me- only about three years younger. He sniffed around, when he saw my necklace. The xweetok's name was Keyo. Keyo's eyes sparkled, and he picked up my necklace and put it on. The little xweetok suddenly heard screams, and bolted into the direction of them, and it wasn't to far away.

I screamed and cried, sitting beside Tim- who was torn up and lying in a puddle of blood. He was bleeding, his fur being stained more and more each second. My best friend was dead; I didn't know who killed him or when, I just knew he was dead. Suddenly I turned, Seeing a little white xweetok rushing towards me- Wearing MY necklace! I growled, pounced onto him, then started grinding my teeth on his ear while digging my caws into him.
YOU KILLED TIM, DIDN'T YOU!? AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY NECKLACE!?" I screamed at him.
N-no I didn't! Let go!" Said the little xweetok, trying to push his head up to bite me. I clawed his forehead, and he put it down.
Please, stop!" He said while crying. "I don't want to die like my parents did! At least your parent didn't die!" He yelled at me. I let go of him and started to violently shake. my eyes were closed, and I was trying to hold my tears back. I suddenly, out of the blue, punched him in the face. "YOU IDIOT, MY PARENTS ARE DEAD TOO!" I yelled, then ran off.

I sat on the edge of a cliff, my hair in my face. I felt bad about hurting Keyo and yelling at him. I was thinking about my mother, when I remembered- hadn't she told me I had two brothers? I blinked, realizing, Keyo was brobably my brother! He looked a whole lot like me.. but then.. who was my other brother? I stood up, and began looking for Keyo. I didn't have to walk very far, because he was looking for me too!
I'm sorry I hurt you." I said, looking down. "Guess I kinda overreacted, huh? I'm sure you didn't really kill Tim." I sighed. He nodded. "It's okay, I guess. Oh, and here's your necklace!" Said the exited xweetok, putting the necklace over my head and around my neck. "Thanks. But then, if you didn't kill Tim, who did?" I asked, even though there was a good chance he didn't know. "Verin. My brother Verin." Keyo hissed, narrowing his eyes. "Verin's the only one other than me who lives here- at least I think.
I though for a moment before speaking. "Well, Keyo, you know what we have to do..." I smiled. My other brother was going to pay now. Pay for killing Tim. I growled at the thought, when suddenly, I noticed Keyo. He was looking at me sadly, like how Tim was looking at me when I killed the bear. "You're gonna hurt him? Why?" The little version of me asked. The way I spoke was a cross of a hiss, growl, and speaking. "He killed Tim. Tim was all I had. Verin killed Tim!" I suddenly started to growl extremely loud, then I bolted off, looking for my evil brother. Keyo was following me from behind, but he was far away. I heard a faint yell, saying "Verin might not have done it!" But I wasn't listening. I was looking for Verin.

I didn't know how far I'd gone, or how long it had been. Verin was somewhere on the island. I slowed down to a steady walk to take a breather, and walked through the tall grass. It was higher than me! But anyways, that's when I heard it. A stick break. I looked under myself, and there weren't any sticks. Keyo was at least three miles behind. It had to be Verin! Nobody else could be on this island. I dropped low and made my way silently through the grass. I peered through the grass into the clearing- not a real clearing, just a circle of dirt and small grasses, and beyond it, more tall grass. But in the middle of that clearing, stood Verin.

I leaped through the grass, pouncing right upon my unsuspecting brother. He fell over, and there he immediately realized he was in a fight. He kicked up his hind legs, hitting me painfully in the gut. I sailed through the air, hitting myself badly on a rock. I leaped up again, growling, heading straight for him. I had my paw outstretched, charging, hopping to get his face. But suddenly, he jumped out of the way. I felt my paw rip through fur and flesh. I took a quick moment to look at my paw. It was covered in blood. Not my blood but Verin's. I turned around, suddenly a look of dismay was on my face. Somehow, Verin got himself ontop of me. That was when I got a real glimpse of his face- his one side had blood streaming down from the eye onto his brown fur, but his eye was GONE. Blood dripped onto my neck, and my cuts stung like crazy. Suddenly, Verin lifted his head, then it lunged at my throat. The next thing that happened changed my life forever- and I shall never forget what Keyo did for me.

Out of nowhere, my little brother jumped out- right onto Verin's face! I would have laughed if it wasn't a serious moment. Verin fell back, and I leaped up just in time to see Keyo flung through the air. He had just saved me, and I would need to thanks him greatly for that. But not wasting anoter moment, I charged at Verin and leaped onto him, teeth clenched around his throat. My evil brother was struggling, scratching me, but I held on. My sides ached, and my body was sore. Suddenly, Verin tore my leg- not just any tear, but a DEEP tear. I couldn't help it, I let go. I fell back, and while I fell I tore at Verin's throat with the claws on my back feet. The ground hurt when I hit it. I lay there for a second or two, the colour fading to black. Before everything turned black, I heard something so peacefull, so nice- silence.

I woke up and wished that I hadn't. I blinked a few times before weakly standing. I limped over towards the body of Verin. Dead. He was dead. Drieds blood was all around him, and he had large cuts all over him. Were those... from me? I thought, looking at my claws. But even though he was dead, and I should have been happy. He killed Tim, so I had killed him. I normally would have been happy, but something was missing... Keyo!

I ran through the grass, looking for Keyo. Maybe he was in the area that he had been thrown? I ran. I rand faster than I had ever ran before. And when I got there, I nearly blacked-out again. But instead, I screamed. Birds flew out from the grass all around me. Tears ran down my face, and I screamed untill I could scream no more. Keyo, my little brother, was dead. He had a deep gash in his throat, his leg was bent the other way around, and he had many large scratches all over his face. It reminded me of when I found Tim dead. I knew standing around Keyo's broken body wasn't going to help. Nothing had happened that was good on the island. I decided that I would just leave- build a boat and go.

I knew from then on never to kill somebody for revenge- it just leads to sorrow. It was long ago, and most would think it haunts me- but it doesn't. I am a carefree young liger xweetok who protects those weaker than me- not because I want revenge.

Roleplay Info

Roleplay with Corriyn is currently: CLOSED
Okay, heres the deal. I wont just roleplay Corriyn with your pet. I have some rules and heads-ups.

1: Corriyn is only half of a xweetok. His other half is a liger (a mix of a tiger and a lion).

2: Corriyn is much stronger, faster, and more clever than a normal xweetok. And his attacks HURT. You wouldn't be able to say that the attack did almost no effect. (unless he's tired)

3: Corriyn is a bit smaller than a normal xweetok.

4: Be literate when roleplaying. No chatspeak. And this doesn't just go for him- it goes for ALL of my pets.

5: If the roleplay starts to get boring, I'm not going to reply anymore.

6: CORRIYN. WILL. NOT. DATE. YOUR. PET. PERIOD. Theres like, a one out of ten chance that he will. But that would be after about 8 roleplays with him and the pet.
