Kirkan:
Kirkan...He's my adoptive father. And a very protective one at that. Apparently, when I was only a year old, he use to take care of me when my parents could not. He says there was an incident and he believes because of that I lost my memory. That same incident is also why our homeland was destroyed, along with most of it's residents. For a few years after that, I was so confused and felt so helpless. Someone had come across me and taken care of me in that time, of course. However, not too long ago from now, I was re-captured by those same people who had apparently tried to kill me before, when I had been left to die in the snow after my homeland was destroyed. It was all luck, for me, when those same idiots, carrying me in a net I couldn't seem to break out of, stumbled across Kirkan. Kirkan, being very unhappy to see them especially with me in a net, fought them off. I must admit, I was a bit afraid of Kirkan at first, not remembering him and all, but I felt as if I really had met him before. Anyway, enough of that. Kirkan, all the same, turned out to be nicer than anyone I had met, and he still is, no matter what he's going through at the moment.
*** Friends ***
Tiger: Tiger is the one who saved me after I was left out in the snow to die. She was probably just as frustraited as I was confused when she couldn't get anything from me. Sure, I was only about a year or two old but, still, I could answer some questions...For the most part. I shrugged a lot. Nevermind. Tiger's a very serious person but she is also very kind. If she wasn't, why would she of gotten me out of the cold. She also must be pretty resiliant to put up with that ghost she calls her brother. He's pretty annoying. Tiger is also the one who took care of me after rescuing me. Sure, she didn't know my name for a while, until she found the ingraving on the back of my moon charm. Honestly, I hadn't known my name either until then, but still. It wasn't my fault. Moving on...
Spud: Probably the strangest person I've ever met in my life would be Spud. He's a ghost, but he's also an insane, mood swinging, kougra who really needs to learn to calm down. He's strange beyond all reason and he scared me half to death the first time I ever actually met him. However, he's actually real friendly...It just doesn't seem that way when he's running about randomly being...Himself. Spud's also prone to talk to random strangers for no reason what so ever, so, I'd watch out if I were you.
Airayen: Airayen's can be one of the sweet and motherly kind of people at times but she's also very adventurous at times. And besides the fact that she's the one who likes to call me 'adorable' practically everytime I see her, she's real nice. What amazed me, though, is that she had come from the same homeland as Kirkan and I had...Not only that, but Kirkan and her had been close friends. Amazing how these things happen, no? I just wish she'd sometimes watch out for where's she stepping, exactly. My tail is pretty long after all.
Crystal: Crystal seems very familiar to me, but I can't place who or what. Maybe she's also from my own homeland, I don't know. Kirkan doesn't seem to recognize her so I'm mostly doubting it. Those chains. They scare me. Wherever she came from was obviously not a nice place to be. She's not very open so I don't know much about her at all, and I don't think hardly anyone else does either. Except Arkyn. He seems to know more about her than Crytal even knows he knew about. Did that make sense? Well, we'll get back to him later. Crytal's pretty nice all the same once you get to know her and she starts talking more.
Arkyn: At first, I didn't really trust Arkyn. He seemed a bit suspisious but, he's all right now it seems. Still, he acts very odd around some people. I think I annoy him at times. I apparently ask too many questions. I'm only three with no memory, what do you expect? Arkyn doesn't talk too much anyway. He likes to stay away from people for unknown reason, but it's funny to watch his reactions when certain people walk up to him and try to start a conversations. As I said earlier, he seems to know more about Crystal than anyone I know. I wonder why that is. Maybe relations or something? Probably not. Oh well. It's really not my business.
Shadoe: Shadoes actually a nice guy, contrary to popular belief. I guess you could call him misunderstood but, really, he's not. People just make really bad assumptions when they first see, or meet, him. He's pretty sensitive about some things, however, and will often yell without warning. He's told me at one point that he wishes he could help me with the amnesia thing. I know it's impossible for him too, but it's nice that he cares.
*** Enemies ***
Calix: ...He scares me. He looks so much like Kirkan but they're so far from being simular. He's...One of those people who you either can't stand to be around or just frightens you even if he hasn't done anything. When I first met him, I was convinced he was the one who had tried to kill me and not those freaks from before. I had met Calix after Kirkan had found me. I never did anything to him. Yet, after I had met him he's tried to kill me a couple of times. I wish he could just leave me alone.
*** Story ***
My story? I...Don't really remember much about my past, but I suppose I could tell you about how I got to where I am now...After the incident at my homeland.
Chapter One: Lost...
Darkness. Numbing Pain. Foggy thoughts
Those could be what described what the slightly conscious child was feeling. Large, saphire blue eyes slowly fluttered open. They seemed blank and glazed over as the childs thought process refused to work. When a chilling gust of wind blew, however, the young boy shifted into a curled position as a sound similar to a whimper escaped his mouth. He could still move at least. His eyes opened again. He was surrounded by what appeared to be white power. Where was he? How'd he get there? Why couldn't he remember anything? Thoughts like that kept entering his young mind. With those thoughts, the child tried to shift into a sitting position, but the cold about him had numbed most of his body and the throbing pain in his head didn't help. Instead of struggling to sit up, the boy just moved back into a lying position, curled up once again.
Why did his head hurt? What had happened? And more importantly, who was he? Those thoughts entered his mind now and the boys eyes opened again. He couldn't remember who he was. Why was that? Did he not know anyway? No, that was more than likely not possible.
Struggling this time, the boy fought the pain and got to the sitting position, he had tried to achieve before, this time. Slowly, he scanned the area with his half open eyes. All around him was white with a few trees.
So many questions, but no answers. Not a one. The child decided he wanted to try and get answers and struggled to his feet. He was shaking, and a bit stiff, but he managed. Slowly, he stumbled half blindly through the snow covered ground. Infact, he tripped over his own feet so many times it wasn't funny.
Eventually, he grew too tired to carry on and sought comfort and shelter from a low to the ground pine tree. The needles pricked at him as he crawled under them. There was hardly any snow on the ground near the trunk of the tree and he curled up close to it, shaking badly.
Why the cold? Why the blistering cold? The child was only a ways over being a year old and so many questions passed through his mind.
Another whimper escaped the young bori's mouth as he closed his eyes, his tears begining to freeze to his fur covered cheeks. He hadn't even bothered to brush the snow from his green fur before slowly drifting to sleep. Not exactly the brightest of ideas, but he is only a baby and doesn't really know any better. All he really wanted, however, was for the pain to stop and answers.
Chapter Two: ...Now Found
Now where'd that insane brother of mine run off to? the kougra questioned, her paws sinking into the newly fallen snow as she walked along through the area that use to be called a forest. Now, most of the trees were bare, except for a few evergreen trees.
A sigh of annoyence escaped the mute female. Searching for her crazed, ghostly "brother" wasn't the easiest job. Why he had run off randomly in the first place was a mistery to her. She knew he wasn't exactly the smartest of beings but, still, he should of known better than to run off without telling her where he was going.
Wow... she mumbled, as she stopped for a moment and placed a hand to her head, I sound just like his mother. With a shake of her head, she glanced around. She was in a slightly open area now and the fact that her "brother" didn't leave footprints was making her angry.
You'd think he'd walk at least once in a while she hissed, looking down. However, as she had been looking down, she had spotted something nearby. Lifting her head again, she spotted small footprints nearby. Were they her "brothers"? No, they were too small.
Her light, creamy blue eyes followed them. Some prints were larger than others. Some looked as if the person had stumbled or dragged their feet. Some prints even stumbled out of the line a ways.
Obviously whatever had made the prints was either hurt or worse. So, the female kougra slowly began to follow them. A bit of it was from curiosity, but most of it was from the fact that she wanted to help if something was in need.
Finally, she stopped at a large evergreen tree that was pretty close to the ground. The footprints led under it. With an eyebrow raised, the kougra girl edged her way under the needles and was a bit shocked at what she found.
Curled up close to the base of the tree, and shaking badly, was a very young bori child, probably not much older than a year. Rittled about his green fur was white specks of snow and what appeared to be frozen tears clung to the fur on the childs cheeks.
Why in the world...? the kougra questioned as she moved into a sitting posision, ignoring the slight pain from the pine needles as the pushed against her back. Gently, she plucked the sleeping child from his resting place.
He was freezing. Even with all the fur. How he'd survived this long amazed her. He was tiny, almost helpless. Why the heck are you out here all by yourself? she mumbled to herself as she back out from under the tree. As soon as the chill breeze hit the boy, a whine escaped him as his eyes opened again and gazed up at the one carring him. His vision was blured at first but when it adjusted, they widened and the boy began to shake more, but this time from fear. Who was this? Why had she taken him from his resting place? All those questions and pain returned to him then and more tears formed in his eyes, threatening to freeze over his already mostly frozen cheeks.
Shhh! It's okay. I promise, I'm not going ot hurt you the kougra said softly as she gently stroked his hair. Although the child was still frightened, he knew anywhere she'd take her was better than where he was now. So, slowly, he drifted back to sleep, huddled up close to the female.
Oi... the kougra mumbled, closing her eyes for a moment but was startled when she felt a hand on her shoulder. With a startled jump, she whipped around but was greeted by the over cheeful grin of her "brother".
What yous got there sister? the ghostly kougra asked, his inverted, red eyes oddly happy. What's he look like to you, Spud? the female asked a bit annoyed as she glanced down at the child she held. Spud paused for a moment before forming a wide grin and stated, Awe! Is a baby. Where yous find him? Under a tree. Now, come on. We better get him somewhere warm before he freezes to death she replied and began to walk off, amazingly on her hind legs, and Spud followed her, his feet hovering slightly off the ground.
Chapter Three: The Unanswerable
Him's cute. Can we keeps him?
You're making the poor kid sound like a petpet you'd just brought home. He's not ours to keep. I'm sure the kids parents are worried about him.
What if hims has no parents?
Spud!
Sorry...
Back at the two's home, the female kougra wrapped the young bori in thick blankets and had lied him on top of a heating pad, which Spud had retrieved from upstaires, on the couch in the living room. Of course, she had properly dried his fur before doing so for he'd been covered in snow when they'd finally reached the house.
The young bori's shaking had finally began to die down once he'd been warmed and was now sleeping more peacfully.
So, whats are we going to do with him? Spud asked while observing the child carefully while the other kougra carefully took the childs temperature, holding the thermometer firmly under his tongue. Find his parents. That's what, his "sister" replied as she took the thermometer from the boys mouth and checked it, well, he doesn't have a fever. That's good. His breathing's better too. Spud thinks we should wakes him chimed the ghostly kougra. No. It's best to let him rest for now. He's only a baby. He needs all the rest he can get right now the female stated. But Tiger... Spud started to complain. No buts, Spud Tiger hissed and Spud sighed and curled up on the floor in front of the couch. He wanted to be there first when the child finally woke. Tiger rolled her eyes before heading out of the room, but she'd be sure to keep her ears open for any sounds coming from the living room, just in case.
It was some time later before the child finally woke, a few hours at the most. The boys eyes slowly opened, but his vision was a bit fuzzy. Now where am I? he thought to himself and shifted slightly. Upon doing that, he realized there were warm blankets covering him and something warm beneath him. He grinned and curled back up under the blankets, enjoying the warmth.
However, Spud had been alerted of his wake when the sound of him shifting caught his ear. He grinned and quickly shot up into a sitting position and was almost face to face with the child.
Hi! Spud exclaimed and the child's eyes went wide as a loud yelp escaped him.
Spud! hissed the angry voice of his "sister" from another room and Spud glanced over at Tiger as she walked into the room, looking annoyed. He's awake... Spud stated, still grinning. Tiger glanced down at the young child who'd done his best to hide himself under the blankets. You didn't have to frighten him though... Tiger said with a shake of her head and kneeled down in front of the couch and smiled at the child. Come on out of there. I promise, he's harmless she said softly, trying to calm the child. The young boy's eyes went wide again. Where had that voice come from? He began to glance around. As if reading his mind, Tiger giggled a bit. I said that... she informed and pointed to herself. The child looked at her and tilted his head, a bit confused. I can't really talk like normaly people, but I can talk using magic Tiger added. Although he was still a bit confused, the boy edged out from under the blankets but refused to step off the warm heating pad.
Tiger gently put a hand to his head and the boy cringed up slightly, wondering what the two planned to do to him. Don't worry little guy. We're not going to hurt you. Spud might frighten you a bit, but, he won't harm you. I promise Tiger stated and a small grin appeared on the child's face.
Spud grinned himself. Yes. Spud no hurt little one. He's too adorable to harm the ghost chimed and the baby bori glanced at him slightly confused. He's a litte odd, but you'll get use to him. My name's Tiger by the way, and you know Spud's name. Do you have a name little guy? Tiger asked. The child looked down then, sadly. After a minute or so, however, he simply shrugged his shoulders and both Tiger and Spud exchanged glances, Tiger's a bit more concerned while Spud's was a bit confused.
