I chose finalists based on these three things:

A) Character design. (originality, how well the character was conveyed, Et cetera)
B) Accounts. (Specifically whether preemie pets had characters, and whether claims were backed up by having similar things done for premie pets)
C) Over all app. (Note: Special cases where apps were lost were taken into consideration).
D) Applicant's Age. (Generally someone in college should have better writing skills than someone in middle school)

For all those who weren't chosen as finalists: I'm sure you would have made great owners. I wasn't counting how many people I added to the finalist list as I was reading though the apps the first time, and ended up with nine finalists... which is obviously too many, so I had to go back and narrow things down. But the point stands that many of you had awesome apps and I wish I could give CoffeeDreams to everyone. If you weren't chosen, don't let that discourage you.

So what now?

Now, I'm going to have to ask everyone to write a ten page report on why they want CoffeeDreams... (Just kidding). To help me decide on the final owner though, I do have a finalist challenge. Of course, you aren't required to do this, but then I'll be not so well convinced that you actually want Dreams.

Challenge: Pick a song or poem that you feel describes (your character for) CoffeeDreams and explain why you picked it (in what ways does it relate to CoffeeDreams). It doesn't have to be long- just write as much as you feel you need in order to explain. You can put it at the end of your app, or on a plain white petpage, just neomail me telling me where it is. Note: If you can't find any song or poem on the entire planet that you think describes or relates to your character for CoffeeDreams then... neomail me?
