I cannot supress my desire for destruction."

- The Beginning -

A solitary being longing for unity. An empty heart swimming in its bleakness. A lost soul searching for its purpose -- that one day found it in a simple orange paintbrush.

My owner elected to paint me with what they called a 'Halloween Paintbrush.' I wasn't too interested in the idea... I figured it would only make me feel even more out of place than I already did. But I would do almost anything for her, no questions asked. I complied, masking my discomfort with a smile. Not long after, I found myself at the Rainbow Pool in the heart of Neopia. My stomach tightened with anxiety, but I never spoke my feelings to my owner... all she had to do was touch the paintbrush to my nose, and the transformation began.

An eerie glow began to radiate from my body, making it difficult to see anything around me. I could feel the skin on my legs and back stretching to accommodate newly aquired muscles. My gums itched as my upper canines extended farther down. The worst was yet to come. Suddenly it felt as if I were stabbed with dull knives in either shoulder. I cried out in pain and doubled over. Something was growing out of my back -- rising, stretching, splitting. My head was spinning from the unbearable pain. When I could not bare anymore, I collapsed onto the ground and blacked out.

I was laying on my side when I awoke. Every inch of my body ached, and my muscles were throbbing. I blinked numerous times, but the world seemed dark and twisting. Through my blurred vision I saw a figure leaning over me. One of it's black tentacles reached down to touch my face. A fierce anger shot through my body like an electric jolt. Thoughts whirled through my head in a raging twister -- 'this being was the reason I felt this pain,' 'it is the root of my anguish,' 'I'll make it pay for this.' The biting desire to destroy it viciously tugged at my soul.

I lept up from the ground with amazing speed, instinctively outstreching my new wings and whirling about. The edge of my wing knocked the dark figure to the ground, its body skidding a few feet away from me. Through the sound of my own snarling, I heard a gasp come from the left side of me. Whipping my head in that direction, I saw a yellow creature standing, gaping at me. My instincts screamed to rip it to crimson pieces before it did the same to me. I threw my whole body into it, slamming it into the ground. Growling, and glaring, I pressed my face close to it in a fatal challenge. Wet eyes of the brightest blue stared back at me, quivering in their own weakness. I wanted to make them bleed. I beared my fangs, intent on sinking them into the creature's fragile neck. Just before my deadly strike, a sweet and familar name cried out in terror -- 'Ollie!'

I was taken aback by the sound, and stepped away from the creature. I closed my eyes and shook my head, before taking another look at whatever it was I had just ferociously attacked. As my vision cleared, my heart sank into my stomach. Though every bone in my body seemed to turn to mush, and a lump rose into my throat, a whisper broke from my lips -- 'KK...?'"

- The Future-

I cannot deny the vicious instincts I have aquired from the transformation. Over time, I have learned to supress them to a certain extent. But when they are unleashed, there is no telling what the limits will be. My fate: to be tied to this evil for the rest of my existence. My mission: to use this power to protect the innocent -- most importantly, my sister, KK."
