Schoolgirl31782 (Cath) loves green! If you didn't know this already, you don't know her very well! She is addicted to anything and everything green! She even has a "Green" Gallery on this account!

This page is a guide to the color green. Ever wondered where to find green stuff in Neopia? This page will tell you where to go. It outlines all of the greenest things around, a general description of what green means, and a complete listing of all of the "green" things you can collect.

There are green things all over Neopia, you just have to look in the right places. Admittedly, it is sometimes difficult to find anything green, especially in places like the predominantly Pink and Purple Faerieland ot the snow-covered peaks of Happy Valley and Terror Mountain.
If you are in search of green, I suggest you explore Meridell, the home of Illusen and the Turmaculus, or Mystery Island, where you can trade items or train your pets. A visit to Brightvale would also be a good idea. There, you can talk with King Hagan the Wise in his Green-trimmed castle and wow him with your wisdom and intellect.
Every pet in neopia, from Acara to Zafara, comes in the color Green because it is a Basic Color along with Red, Yellow, and Blue. If you want a more impressive pet but still want it to be green, there's no need to worry. There are four colors that are either entirely or predominantly Green. Here is a list of them: Disco, Glowing, Snot, and Speckled.
If you have a Chia and are lucky enough to have the NP to buy a Chia Pop, there are six fruit and vegetable colors from which you could also chose. These Green Chia choices are Apple, Asparagus, Avacado, Goosberry, Lime, and Pea. The most popular of these colors is probably the Pea Chia, as it can get you an avatar, but the second favorite is the Asparagus Chia. Blame Adam.

Baby Camo Christmas
Disco Glowing Halloween Island Jelly
Maraquan Mutant Plushie
Robot Royalboy Snot
Speckled Sponge Alien Fruit/Vegetable Chias

There are five faeries in neopia that are at least partially green, plus the Happiness Faerie which I'm not sure I'd call a faerie but apparently TNT does. We all know who he really is. So here are your six faeries:
This is the Battle Faerie. Her name is Aethia. You can read the story about how she became the new Battle Faerie here. Wearing green is good enough for me! This is one of the random faeries, the Earth Faerie. Worst of the lot. Don't ever do her quests unless she asks for a Healing Potion. Complete info on all Quests here.
Awwww... Look at the cute plushie! It's the "Happiness Faerie"! TNT apparently has zero images of the actual Faerie in color, so here's the B/W image with the Plushie image. This is Illusen, an Earth Faerie who resides in Meridell. Illusen Day is on March 17 and, being a good faerie, she never does anything to get Jhudora back for her Evil Deeds.
This is Jhudora. She is Evil. Annually, on Jhudora Day (Feb 4th), she kidnaps Illusen, or does something else, equally Evil. She also offers a timed Quest here. This is the Negg Faerie. She works at the Neggery in Terror Mountain. You can take neggs there and trade them for Negg Tokens, which you can then use to buy special neggs.

Welcome to the Green Gallery of Evil. I don't suggest you stay long. These guys are pure evil and they know it. Jhudora is also in the Gallery of Evil but she is listed in the Faeries section, so she's getting mentioned but isn't going to be listed again! I hope she doesn't read that... she might get angry and who knows what she would do!
Captain Scarblade, of the ship Revenge, likes destroying things, most notably, Maraqua. He proclaims himself to be the ruler of the five seas of Neopia. Dr. Frank Sloth, the epitome of evil in Neopia. He is constantly trying to destroy Neopia and everything in it but has been defeated repeatedly by brave Neopians.
Ewwwww, Meuka is gross. He's a big ball of snot. You can beat him up in the Battle Dome for the DON or in the Haunted Woods while playing NeoQuest II. The Spider Grundo was one of Dr. Sloth's experiments. Don't feel sorry for him, though, he's still evil. Like Meuka, you can beat him up in the BD or in NQII.
Beware the Tax Beast! He thinks he's entitled to part of your hard earned NP! He'll take 10% of your NP that's not in the Bank! If he does, go beat him up in the BD!

Here are six of the greenest Battledome Challengers. For information on how to get these challengers or how to defeat them try this petpage. There are some other Green Battledome Challengers I haven't mentioned here, like Harry the Mutant Moehog and the Evil Sloth Clone, and some of my favorite Challengers were listed earlier.
Chiazilla Edna the Witch
Mutated Chia Slug Monster
Tekkitu the Witch Doctor Turmaculus

is a wonderful color. It is the color of plants and nature. It indicates "start" or "go" as in races and stoplights. Many countries hold green in high regard and include it in their flags. According to flags.net there are actually 88 countries with green in their flag. Examples of these countries include: Italy, Brazil, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and Ireland, which is known as the Emerald Isle, where they annually celebrate The Wearin' O' the Green on St. Patrick's Day.
One of my favorite cities, Seattle, is also associated with the color green. Because of it's beautiful views and evergreen trees, it is called the Emerald City. Even states want to join in the green celebration; Washington State is called the Evergreen State and Vermont is nicknamed the Green Mountain State.
Green is commonly used in all parts of our culture and has been for centuries. There are comic book heroes and villains: Green Lantern, Green Arrow, and Green Goblin, as well as the mutant grundo-esque Hulk. Kermit the Frog is well known for his song "It's not easy bein' green". In Dante's Divine Comedy green symbolizes hope.
Extraterrestrials are often green. Alien (plural), specifically Martians, have often been called "Little Green Men" in both movies and news reports since around 1910, although the term didn't become popular until the 50s. The most notable examples are Marvin the Martian and the little green three-eyed things in Toy Story. Additionally, Vulcan blood, from Star Trek, is green.
Unfortunately, green has not always been such a great thing. It is widely recognised as the color of envy and, in the middle ages, was associated with evil or demonic beings. Being a "greenhorn" or "green" is associated with being new to a particular situation or job, and generally means that you are less able to preform well.
Here are links to the "Green" Item Catalogue. Each category contains images of all the active "green" items. To see the name of the item, point to it with your mouse and it should show up as a title.

Hee Hee... Re: Choir
Well. Welcome to the end of the page. Seeing as I'm not green, Cath, with some advice from a friend, decided that it would be best to just chuck me at the bottom of the page and hope I could survive. *sigh* I shall try. (as of Oct. 28 I was zapped into a Green Zafara, so I guess I am green... for now... muahahahaha!)

You may wonder why is it that a pet like me is in charge of a petpage that is all about green. I'm not Green. Currently, I'm... um... well, last time I checked I was... um... oh, wait! I am Green right now! Well, the long and the short of it is that I'm a sometime lab rat.

For over five and a half years, I was a very content GREEN Nimmo. Then, disaster struck. Cath adopted Joshe from a very good friend for two reasons: 1. He's Jelly and will eventually go to the Jelly account 2. He has a lot of HP and Cath needed to defeat Meuka. With George, my lifelong companion, and Llama, a newer interloper, that left no room for a lab pet, so guess who got zapped??? That's right... ME!
It wasn't too bad, honestly. I remained Green and a Nimmo for quite a while. Shortly before Nimmo Day, though, I got zapped STRIPED EWWWWW!!! Fortunately, shortly after Nimmo day, I became one of the first Pink Nimmos in Neopia but I must add that I was also MALE at that time. *sigh* Cath decided that I should remain that color for a while as it was so rare, while she zapped Llama. Then Llama got zapped Grey and was so cute, so guess who got to be Lab Fodder... again. You guessed it... ME!
One of the first zaps I got was a species change to my current species, Gelert. *snorts* Cath dislikes Gelerts for the most part, so I think this is hilarious. Two days after Gelert day, I get zapped Mutant and find myself, once again, an almost one-of-a-kind pet! Even Cath likes the Mutant Gelerts!
Unfortunately, Llama is still adorable and Grey, George is Sketch, and in a Sketch Club, so he has to stay safe, and Joshe is Jelly and still not transfered because Cath is holding two avvie pets on the Jelly account for friends. About a week after the nice Mutant Zap, I got zapped the icky Silver color; similar to Llama's Grey, but nowhere near as cute. Now I've been zapped Yellow Electric.
It's interesting how truly random the Lab Ray is. Some people go weeks without a color change, others get them regularly, although Yellow Electric is nothing to brag about. At least I'm a girl again! or not... Wonderful news! Cath managed to successfully transfer Joshe to the Jelly account, so now there's a new Labbie (labbie got zapped Pink)! So, I'm back to being the labbie again. I don't really mind. Right now I'm rather unhappy as a Gelert, so hopefully I'll get a good species change. We're going to be a three-pet family for a while.

Updates: Sunday the 1st of October I turned Faerie and then Monday the 2nd I turned Speckled (hey, it's green... right?). Apparently the lab ray has decided to play dress-up for Halloween. Hee hee!

More dress-up. I've been zapped Blue as of Oct 18th.

A girl is never satisfied until her outfit is perfect. On Oct. 26th I decided to try out Skunk for a while... hope it doesn't scare people away!... Although, it IS Halloween. Guess my complaints got heard, though... Got Zapped Rainbow the next day.

Finally, on the 28th of Oct., a species change... unfortunately, it's to Zafara. I think Gelert was better. *sigh*

Jan. 19th 2007. It's been a while since I updated my Lab Ray story. Cath got a nice note from TNT that stated they were considering MY page for the Site Spotlight (imagine that!) and that I shouldn't make any changes to it. Besides getting behind on my adventures in color changes/species changes, there have been a bunch of new "green" items released and Cath's going to have to get them caught up.

While I was waiting (futilely) to hear more from TNT I survived TWO species changes and several color changes. I was unimpressed with any of my color changes as a Zafara... I think one may have been Yellow... I forgot them completely. One species change was so horrid that I refuse to remember it (I started out Green in whatever it was and then got color-changed but I'm not sure what color). Then I got transformed into a Yellow Mynci. Not one of Cath's favorite pets but definately better than whatever it was I refuse to remember... Here's hoping for something good... SOON!

Valentine's Day brought a change to White, very fitting for the occasion in my opinion, but it was short lived when the following day I was zapped Green. Ah, the wonders of the lab ray.

With a New Month comes more changes, the first made me Red and the fifth, a very early Halloween.

So, that's my story. Maybe someday, when Cath decides to get either the MP or TP avvie, she'll return me to my long-time form as a Green Nimmo. One can only hope. Thanks for listening! Red Xweetok, Blue Techo, Green Chomby, Blue Blumaroo Yellow Moehog Red Kau Grey Kau Red Kau

Oh, and for all you lazy people who don't like to read, here's a great gif by Dan that is a pictoral display of my many changes:

Oh, one last thing. I'm also the family battle pet now. I have Burrow and Sink and some really cool BD weapons that Cath won from NQII (Halo of the Devilpuss) and Underwater Fishing (Pike Pike). Together they make quite a dent. I only battle one player battles to get the DoN and in a futile attempt to get the Battle Faerie Avvie.

Here are my current stats:
Level: 131 Strength: 102 Defence: 75 Agility: 70
Current HP: 0 Max HP: 260 Intelligece: 259 Gender: Female

One of my side accounts is dedicated to the mystery of Jelly! TNT asserts that Jelly World does not exsist, so that must be true but where does all the jelly come from?
If you're looking for my Green Gallery Checklist, I moved it off this petpage and onto George's.
A very special thanks to veritate for helping me with the basics of writing code!
Thanks also to my friends for their comments and suggestions, especially Jester, for his help with research, Cozy for her help selecting colors and styles, and Flozz for proofreading and catching my silly errors. Thanks for letting me use your Lawyerbot image, statedglory!
