Asleep in spring I did not heed the dawn Till the birds broke out singing everywhere. Last night, in the clamour of wind and rain, How many flowers have fallen do you suppose?

Too many.

We hope you find browsing around here fun- and sorry for the delay in updates~ however, since school is done, you can expect for activity around here. But please do not neomail me about her adoption. Stop claiming that she was your pet. It's a bit distracting.

Introduction

The little mountain path was clear and quiet. Fog and mist hovered by swiftly, carried by the high altitude's wind. Far below the ledges, lined by millions of red poppy flowers, lay the village in one valley. The banter of their festival, celebrating the beginning of the rainy season, could even reach the shrine above the slope. The shrine lay at the end of the path, and its guard statues lay on either side of its entrance. Two strong pillars stood on either side behind each stone figure, and in between them were ascending steps.

At the end, a serpentine figure lay quietly, with its body relaxed. Her fur flowed freely and her scales rustled, as if the air around her body was constantly in motion. The brilliance of her red hide cast a faint glow to her silhouette. She was a lesser celestial dragon, since her horns did not have more than two branches.

As the bells and drums of the village continued to beckon the rain, the great serpent finally opened her eyes to greet their praises.

And to fullful a promise she made with a little girl, years and years ago...

    Story

My story is old, and took place during a lost time, forgotten by men and their technological advances in the world. But I remain. I am still here. And I will tell the virtues of this tale.

Hundreds of years ago, it is safe to say that peace did not reign over most places. Power hungry clans, fueled by their greed fought and wrecked those in their way. Amongst them, fools of fools, rose a general. His military power was not that of a human's, but of hu-li jing and their fox-fire, but his ambition was just like every worldly man. He sought the riches of the land, and even dared to retrieve the power of immortals and spirits for his own disposal. Others quickly learned his tactics and followed his footsteps in vain.
Years of tradition were broken, as the people sought and ravaged shrines, forests, and rivers, in order to trick its spirits. A man would steal away the fire orb of a spirit and barter its safe return for the loyalty of its spirit. If the orb were to be destroyed or separated too long from its owner, then the spirit would die and cease to exist. The hu-li jing, though difficult to trick, celebrated life too much to give them away for peace.

Entire villages and families, died at the hands and tactics of the general and clansman in his search for spirits and demons alike. At this, the dragons scorned the pitiful state of the kingdom from above in the sky. They brought disasters upon the humans, to punish who defiled the spirits' shrines. However, as one hold was destroyed, other came out of the ruins to grasp for the pedestal of supreme rule.

Those who survived and did not want to take part of the affair, retreated to live in the highlands to escape their adversaries. The mountain became their have of safety, since their settlement was a part of my domain; free from the grasps of huli-jing and their human masters. I had kept them from passing our boarders and pursuing the spirits of my mountain and its forests.

However, my protection did not help to relieve of them of our harsh winters and dry summers, which graced them with very little rain. The villagers became sick, weak and hungry- a state that I could not ignore, since they were under my protection the moment they came here, but I could do nothing.

A scripture of laws defined the roles a lesser dragon and greater dragon played, and also kept us on different pedestals of power. As a lesser dragon, I was born with rights to rule the mountain, and the mountain only. Greater dragons ruled our heavens, controlled the season, and brought luck, which hence brought forth their celestial reference.

Our years past with sorrow- as their numbers dwindled all the same. They were only spared from a violent death, but hardship and tragedy never left the villager's lives. I watched them as their mourned, and till this day I can still here their children's cries echo in the gourges of the valley.

    Dear Aura:

I actually sort of feel bad for you; Draiks up for adoption, especially one with a beautiful color, great name, and unconverted like Chisalu, can cause a lot of headaches. There are the stupid applications, the OK ones, and then the great ones that you just can't decide on.

This is one of those latter applications.

I have not known Kitsu long, but I am always excited about her drawings and every time I talk to her find her to be a kind spirit and good friend. You will not be disappointed if you choose Kitsu for Chisalu's new owner. She is the right girl for Chisalu, and there is no better choice.

    Sincerely,
    Eruanna (queen_starshine) @ Neo

    Dear Aura:

Kitsu would make an amazing owner for Chisalu. She's is an amazing artist, and her characters are always very well-developed. She puts a lot of time and effort into each one. n_n

I honestly can't see a reason why NOT to let Kitsu adopt Chisalu. C: She'll be a fantastic owner.

AND SHE'S COOL AND STUFF YEAH. 8D
