Intro

Have you ever wondered how you could make thousands and maybe even millions of neopoints without playing tedious games for hours? Thanks to the art of restocking you can!

No matter what you do, making money is going to require work. Restocking is a fun, easy way of accomplishing neopoints at a rapid rate.

In order to prepare for your restocking adventures, it is best to follow four simple steps. Some of them are more important than others, but they all work together to form a substantial whole. The core of all restocking.

Step 1: Buy Low-Sell High

Being the first step, buying low and selling high, is a major chunk of the restocking core. Before you actually buy you must decide whether you're interested in quality or quantity restocking. Each side has their own pros and cons, however they can lead to some wonderful, money making, results.

Quantity Restocking

Quantity shopping is favored by many, mainly because it requires the least amount of skill.

What is Quantity Restocking? Simply put, it means buying many items with small individual profit, but selling in bulk for large sums. To make a basic 50k a day, you will need to restock around 60 items. Give or take a few, because you will make great buys that bring in the money, and/or poor buys that cost you.

Quantity Restocking does not require that you have super fast internet. In fact, I know many members who restock using dial-up. Because this path does not depend on your ability to type numbers incredibly fast, this is a great choice for beginner restockers who are happy with a 50k-a-day profit.

Quality Restocking

Quality shopping is only used by a small number of neo-citizens.

First off you should know that it is not an easy task, it can take months of practice and training to get your speed and accuracy to the requirements of this ever growing type of purchasing.

Quality is almost the exact opposite of Quantity buying. While you Quality shop, you go for the individual items that will bring 40k+ profit.

In a single day of Quality Restocking you can easily make 150k. As I have said before, it is not easy. You must be ready to lose a few battles. Even the greatest of restockers lose sometimes.

Quality items usually sell withing 25 seconds of restocking. For this reason it is best to stay in a few shops, so you can catch each restock and save your shop refreshes. Shop bans are very common when you try to refresh to often, this can stop you from reaching your daily goals and even put a dent in the next day's restocking time.

It is important to remember to take your time loading pages. As long as you wait 5 seconds between refreshing you should have no problems.

Step 2: Haggling

After choosing your restocking choice (quantity or quality), haggling comes into play. The worst problem most restockers face, is the lack of haggling experience. They see the item, get to the haggling page and freeze. This section should help you overcome your fears and learn what your best haggling method is.

Haggle 1: This method is based on repetition. In the first example, 2525 would be used as it is quick and the numbers are fairly close together. Often times repetition haggles are based off the first two numbers in the item price. I would suggest this haggling method for the intermediate type of restocker.

Haggle 2: Often times, this method is used by the cautious restockers because it is dependable, and fairly easy to use. 2555 allows the haggler to enter in two numbers and repeat the last digit. It avoids moving your fingers back and forth, or around the number pad. I would suggest this haggling method for the beginner type of restocker.

Haggle 3: This, by far, is the most complicated haggling method. However, it is nearly a must when restocking in quality shops. In this instance 2465 is a very quick typing method, but is easily fumbled. I would suggest this haggling method for the advanced type of restocker.

Step 3: Be Competitive

In any selling market it is important to be the cheapest, and remain the cheapest. Most of the buyers out there don't want to overpay and will take the time to find the cheapest shop. If you stay on top of your shop prices you should be able to sell quickly and easily.

One of the newest and greatest things neo has come out with, is the ssw [super shop wizard]. It allows you to find the cheapest price out of all the shops in Neopia. For a restocker there could be no greater invention. It is well worth the $8.00 a month. However, if you don't have the ssw don't worry. A couple refreshes on the old shop wiz should do the trick.

Once you have found the lowest price on the item you wish to sell, lower your price. I would suggest lowering 50np if you are Quantity Restocking or 100np-1000np if you are Quality Restocking.

It is important to check your pricing daily. Make sure you are the cheapest.

Step 4: Shop Decoration

This step may seem unimportant, but your shop layout can actually help or doom your restocking empire.

Two basic rules can and will offer aid when it comes to your business.

Rule #1

If you change your page font, MAKE SURE IT IS LEGIBLE. Nothing is worse than trying to read somebodies font when it blends in with the background.

Rule #2

No blogs, nobody reads them. In my opinion they are a waste of space and loading time. If you want to write something to your buyers, put it on your main page where it will show up better. This avoids scrolling and allows the buyer to read with ease.

When you are writing, keep it short and to the point. I would suggest no more than a paragraph [4 sentences].
