Here are some screenshots of auctions I've sniped at the Auction House. In all of these I made some sort of profit, either big or small (every little bit counts!). :)

I usually only bid on auctions that would sell for below 100k, meaning no items that I would have to put on the Trading Post and wait for it to sell. I only do this because there's a chance it is hard to sell and I'd have to wait long or lower the price below what I paid in the first place.
