Riveting Lovely Distance
i look to the universe
stars floating above
for i am in this world
looking for my love
are you somewhere close by
or far away,
gazing the sky's,
or searching the milky way
i gaze the skies
contemplating the possibilities
the distance we must travel
the lines we will cross, and the fees
will you go the distance
to find love
where do you stand
will you rise above
sepia simplicity
that old photo
taken years ago
i still have
two kids in the backyard
one on the swing
another hiding behind a tree
sepia toned
and battered edges
keep me remembering
you never kept things neat
but i was obsessed with it so
memory filled photos
of which i admire
catching my gaze at any moment
taken back through time reliving it so
dear friend when;
when was the simplicity lost.
cover your ears
dont let the silence break in
hum your lyrics over and over again
it relives your memories
so dont forget sound
break the quiet
scream, no matter who hears
block the solitude from setting in
the tranquility is fooling you
fear, for you may forget your inarticulateness
my corner of the world
your cold perception
is false
but
i'm pleasant there
its how i planned it out
your memories of
the old me"
were never quite real
a real laugh?
sure it was true
but i have changed
as well as your perception
through the windows you see birds
i see dark sky's distant
for you are optimistic
me? realistic
sometimes alone,
in my corner of the world
the lights, out
enveloped in darkness
for i have seen
u loosing
the old me"
as i retreat back to
my corner of the world"
living as i know.

my fingers cramping
still i keep writing
loving the sound of the words
rolling from my tongue from which the paper I read of
letting the letters spill
forming words
inside my brain racing
write it down"
is shouted from within
trying to write faster
although words form jumbles now
fluently it forms stanzas
the ones of which I adore
I keep writing
loving it more and more.
