QUACK!" *You have entered a small room. In a corner there's a bed, in another corner, under the window, there's a desk, and in the third corner, there's a book shelf and a warderobe. In the fourth corner there's a door. And you're standing three meters away, inside the room. And you did not watch where you were walking. You've nearly stamped a Mallard flat. Squeaking furious, he jumps around whole the room, and finally against you again, ready for attack.*

Voice: Hey! Stop, Donald!

*The Mallard dumps down on the carpet, still glaring angry at you. Then he jumps straight into the arms of a yellow female Zafara. Are you hurt? she asks, more to the Mallard than you. She puts the Mallard down on the bed and greets you.*

Zafara: Hi, guest. My name is Charikei, Char for short. *winks* Better watch you feets! Please sit down in my bean bag, hm?

*After sitting down, Char dumps down in her bed and smiles. Her Mallard hisses angry against you and tries to jump over to the bean bag. Char grips him and pulls him down, and he spins around hissing and runs out of the room.*

Charikei: Sorry about that, guest. You see, he uses to be quite nice, but he don't like people who steps on him. *smiles nervous* So.. what shall I tell you?

*You try to say that she doesn't need to tell you anything at all, but try to explain her.*

Charikei: About myself? Well, as you can see, I'm a Zafara... I was born at the 28th of December 2002, and was found outside the Training School. It was Unicorn_Treasure that found me. Later she became my big sister. I am living at Training Square at Mystery Island with my family. I've got this Mallard, Donald... You've already met, haven't you? *Donald hisses* Donald!     Charikei: Uh, yeah. Of course I have a family. But do you really want to hear about THEM? Okay, okay...

    neopiasangel, better known as Christin, is my owner. She is fifteen years old and norwegian. And she is the best owner ever... sometimes. She adopted me even when she thought I was mad *smiles*. She likes to read and write, surfing at the Internet and roleplaying.

    Unicorn_Treasure, also known as Unica. She hates that, and I call her it all the time *laughs*. She is always doing something I don't know much about - battling or training. So sometimes it's not fun to play with her. But she is nice, anyway.

    Kantele is the second oldest sister. She is a bit shy. But she is the nicest. Kantele and I are very close. She is not a Battledome Champion, but likes books and music, like me. She loves to play music on a golden harp she owns.

    Ummm... Christin... do you really think it was smart to adopt Zeirest? He's BAD! I don't like him at ALL! He makes me scared... Uh, Zeirest is the second oldest member of the gang. He is a grey fire Wocky, and he says he hates me. And you know what, stupid dungface? I HATE YOU TOO!

    Shaw. Her real name is Shawnarica, but she's better known as Shawna, Shawn or of course Shaw. She is a red Gelert, and she sleeps in front of the TV if she wants, thinks Zeirest is cool and plays at her guitar so the house shivers.

    Nada is a funny addition to this family. She used to be a red Usul. She was nice and rather cute, but: She didn't want to be it. You're really lucky when you have a personality of a fighter and get born with a Usul body... well, that was Nada. But then Zeirest putted some transmog... transmor... trans... some potion in her water, and she became a mutant Usul. She doesn't know if she is angry or grateful.

    Dawn is MAD!!!!! This Aisha is going to kill me some day with her annoying happiness and madness... She's HYPER! Have you ever seen her room? It's hitten by an atom bomb (it certainly looks like)! She is colorful, and a funny addition to a family with too many tomboys.

    Poor Mirach. Who knows what's going on in this Boris head. He's always sitting on the roof at night, glaring at the stars and making charts. I don't know him well... I don't think anyone does. I'm trying to get a ticket to Kreludor for him - I know he would appreciate it.

    Arsirius is a shadow Ixi. He was born in Meridell, and rather interested in everything that's related to the middle ages and stuff like that. He's a cool guy, I like him. Sometimes he's completely insane, and after that, he says that I must stop being crazy...

    *When you put the album back, you see another book, called 'Friends'. You take it down.*

    Charikei: Original title, isn't it? The book is full of my most beloved friends, and pictures of things I associate with them. Do you want to take a look?

    KattoZafari... She was my best friend. She was a Christmas Zafara. Then her owner left Neopia, and Zafari was taken away from us. Now she has returned as an angel... It's true, she told us!

    Alyoya is a great friend! She is nice, and mystical! She can do magic, and used to spend a lot of time in her school (I've been there once!). Now she has left the school for a mystical quest... I don't know what it is.

    Emily is a blue Acara, and, like Alyoya, loves Battledome (Emily can't do magic, though). She is one of my best friends ever, she is lovely. And very cute, but she won't admit that she is. You know what? She knows the Snow Faerie herself!

    No, Rytaka has nothing to do with the NeoQuest. But he is The Lupe of Sun, so I thought I better find a great lupe-item to him. He is a yellow Lupe. Sometimes he is annoying, because he thinks he so very special *cough*. He's Zeirest's most hated enemy.

    Lala is one of my newest friends. She is an island Acara, and do you know something special? She is 70 % human! Or was it 30? Don't remember... Lala is very nice, with a big family, and has some fun stories about sister fights. She loves friends, but I warn you: She's fairly odd.

    Spirit is one of my coolest friends! She is a punk-singer-rocker-whatever, and a yellow Uni. She is travelling around whole Neopia, singing for people. She is just soo cool! Her full name is Spiritlittlecreek, but I warn you: Don't call her that!

    Actually, Mimi isn't painted Faerie. But she is faerie in her heart, and that's enough. She's got green wings. That are so beautiful. And Mimi is really helpful, always helping those who need it (and don't need it).

    Rina is a fashion freak. And a yellow Zafara. But most of all, a fashion freak. She loves clothes, make-up and Beauty Contest. I wonder why we are so good friends. But we are. And we can't change that.

    Nille! She is cool! She is a yellow Zafara, my cousin, and a disco freak. She LOVES dance and disco! All the time, dance and disco *smiles and sighs*. But it's fun when you're bored. She's got her own disco club. And she is always wearing some shades. Why? Dunno...

    Zaffy is my newest Zafara-friend. She is INVISIBLE! That must be just sooo cool! So... I have never seen her, but still she is my friend. Sounds strange, doesn't it? I was a bit nervous in the start... cause she always arrive when you don't expect her to. *her mouth has now been frozed in a permanent smile.*

Hope you come back... when Donald isn't that angry! *She tries to pull the Mallard down in the bed, but he has decided that he wants to kill you. You walk fast out of house, and you still hear angry sounds from Char's bedroom. Then Charikei pulls her face out of the window and smiles to you.*

    Charikei: Okay, I think he is normal again. You don't need to worry. Good bye!

    *Three days later you get seriously injured by a Mallard.*

    A Squeaky Tale New! About Donald!

    The Start

    Well, my tale is not exciting. It was Unicorn_Treasure that found me. She really loves Battledome, and went to the Training School. I was sitting outside the building on a very old and ugly bench. She looked at me, but decided to go in finish the course. She finished it, checked her status, talked a bit with the Techo Master and decided to leave and go home to the Training Square. She had been there for 2 hours and she'd worked hard. When she came out in the sunshine, she felt that she was thirsty. She'd got a bottle with water. What do you think she did?
    1. Walked home?
    2. She decided to drink the water and then go home?
    3. She went down to my bench, sat down and started to talk?

    I don't know you picked, but the last person reading this story picked number 2. That's wrong. If you picked number 3, you're smart. So, a yellow Uni came down to me, sat down and started to talk.

    U: Er... hello.
    C: Hi.
    U: Who are you?
    C: *thinking* Actually, I don't know.
    U: Huh?
    C: I have been sitting here whole my life.
    U: Whole your life... how long is that?
    C: *thinking again* About four hours.

    At that time, Unicorn_Treasure started to wonder. This was a really strange situation.

    U: And your owner?
    C: Owner?

    I've read many stories, and at that time, when the poor little thing says he/she has no owner, the "hero" decides to adopt him/her. No, it's not like that.

    U: Sure?
    C: Of course I am sure! Well... er... someone must own me, I think. I am not sure who... and you are?
    U: I've got an owner.
    C: Your name.
    U: Uh.. oh, Unicorn_Treasure.
    C: Yeah... right. So... where are you living?
    U: Training Square. There is my home.
    C: *softly* Home...

    I don't know why I felt like that, but, well, I did it was something that Unicorn_Treasure said, that gave me a feeling. Not a hope, just a feeling. Something was happening, like this:
    Something has happened!
    If you follow the Uni Unicorn_Treasure, you will find a home. And maybe it will be your home!
    She had said that Training Square was her home. Something inside me said it's was my home too.
    At last, I decided to follow her when she went home.

    U: Well, I've got to go home now.
    C: Er.. Yes.

    Unicorn_Treasure started to walk. I jumped after her. When she saw I was following after her, she said:

    U: Eeeerrrmmmmmmmmmmm...
    C: Oh, sorry. Sorry. But I'm so hungry. You've got some food?
    U: *looking around herself* Yeah. Home. Come on.

    I don't think she liked the situation. Well, she was taking me home to her owner, at Training Square four-nine-something. She walked fast over the doorstep and went (with me behind her) into the... kitchen. A blue something with brown mane and a tail she'd got from a fish made something I thought was... dinner. Yummy!

    Well, the something didn't notice me. Unicorn_Treasure started with some errm...s, but still the something didn't see him. So we heard someone walking in the hall. Ah. Christin's coming now, the blue thing said. Yeah, Unicorn_Treasure said. So ...Christin?... came in. She didn't saw me, she too. She just said: Hello, Kantele. Hello, Unicorn_Treasure. And so she and the something (Kantele) saw me.

    K: Er...
    Christin: A friend, Unica?
    U: Uh... yeah... I found her.
    Christin: Found her.
    U: Yeah, outside the Training School.
    K: Er...
    Christin: And then?
    U: And I decided to bring her home...
    Christin: You decided to bring her home.
    U: She's got no owner..
    Christin: She's got no owner.
    U: Yeah, and she doesn't know who she is.
    Christin: Doesn't know who she is?

    I think Christin started to become a bit interested. She walked to me and looked at me.

    Christin: Who are you?
    C: I dunno.
    Christin: You've got no owner, right?
    C: Yeah, right.
    Christin: How old are you?
    C: A couple of hours?
    Christin: Can you remember something?
    C: Eeeeeerrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... not really. Hmmmmmmmmm... I remember... yes, I do remember something.
    *silence*
    Christin: Yeah?
    C: Uuuuh... Sit there. I can't give you a good home. Find someone to live with... or... don't.

    Christin was shocked. I know why. Her Uni had taken a homeless, young Zafara home, and it looked like the Uni wanted Christin to adopt the Zafara.

    C: Er... maybe I shall leave?
    Christin: No. Ermhlf... so you've got no home?

    Of course, when she said that, I knew she wanted to adopt me.

    C: Err.. no.
    Christin: Uhhhmmm.. do you.. want to.. live... here with us? Until your owner returns to find you? Just a couple of days?
    C: *What did I say?* Heh.. yeah.. of course. *coughs*

    Well, it didn't become just a couple of days, but the rest of my life, because after some days... My new family was told that my name was Charikei, and that my former owner was gone. Well, I don't really cry at night because of that, that person was just a fool, so do I think. So, that was my not-so-exciting tale. Or?

    The sun Jewel

    This story happened at the 3rd of February, the Zafara Day, and I, Unicorn_Treasure and Kantele went out to find something to do. Unicorn_Treasure went down to the Training School (of course), so I and Kantele went to the Island Market. The Island Market is really big, and it's really easy to get lost. I stopped to look at some food, and then... I got lost. Or, well, Kantele was gone.

    C: Kantele, look at thi... Kantele?
    The Shopkeeper: Wanna buy something? You know, this fruit is called a Slugroot, and it's delicious.
    C: Well... wait a minute... Kantele?

    I ran away from the shop, and started to seek. I looked after her everywhere (except for, of course, that place she was).

    C: *sighs* Where is she?!

    Then I saw something on the ground. Hm.. what could that possibly be? It looked like a jewel, and I picked it up.

    C: I bet it's just plastic.... huh?

    The Market was gone. Someone had exchanged it with a huge meadow with large, beautiful flowers.

    C: Hey... what's this...?!

    Then I saw someone. A red and black... creature... walked over the meadow. When the... creature... came closer, I saw that it was someone I had seen met before... it was an Acara, a red one... Alyoya!

    (Note: Alyoya and I met when my owner had worked much with my homepage. Alyoya's got her own award, and my owner requested for this one. When I and Christin went to get it, I and Alyoya met each other and became friends).

    A: Char? (My nickname)
    C: Hi, Alyoya!
    A: Why are you here? How did you get here?
    C: I don't know! I and Kantele was at the Island Market, and I got lost, and then I found this thing, and arrived at this meadow! Where am I?
    A: At a meadow. What thing?
    C: This thing.

    I showed her the (plastic?) jewel. She grabbed it.

    A: We've missed that!
    C: What's that?
    A: You found the Sun Jewel. We need it to get rain.
    C: Are you sure that's right?
    A: Yes. This is the Sun Jewel, and we need it to get rain! It has been lost for a week. Where did you found it?
    C: A place at Mystery Island... I think. Geez, I think I'm about to become crazy.
    A: No, you're here, and you've found the Sun Jewel (that we need to get rain).

    Okay. I already was crazy...

    C: So why haven't you named it the Rain Jewel or something like that?
    A: It can't be named the Rain Jewel. That name is already taken by the jewel we need to get sunshine.

    ... -.-'

    C: I'm giving up. Where am I?
    A: At a meadow outside my school.
    C: School?
    A: Yup! That castle over there. That's where I learn how to do magic.
    C: Magic?
    A: Yup! Magic.

    I looked at the flowers. They were really beautiful. So... stupid me, I picked one!

    A: Uh ooh... RUN!!!
    C: Why?

    But of course, suddenly I saw why. The flowers turned into small lions with wings, and they were throwing fireballs on us.

    We ran behind a small hill, and the lions turned back to flowers.

    A: *out of breath* Never... do... that... again!
    C: *out of breath too* I... don't.... think... so! What... was... that... small... lions... with... wings?
    A: Small... lions... with... wings!
    C: Oh... yeah.

    Alyoya got her breath back, and pointed at a huge castle not far away.

    A: Wanna visit my school?
    C: Oh, yes!

    We went to the huge castle.

    A: It's huge, isn't it?
    C: No, it's not huge, it's... it's... very huge.

    We walked inside, and it was really great ^_^. I've never seen something like that in my life. Alyoya made a juppie dance, and showed me some strange flowers. She told me that they wouldn't turn into lions with wings, but I didn't pick any of them. It was really great, but all things' got an end, and at last I said:

    C: I'm sorry, Alyoya, but I have to go back to the Market.
    A: Yes, I know. Don't worry, at Mystery Island it has only passed a couple of minutes. Bye, Char.
    C: Er... how-

    How do I get there," I was about to say, but then... well, I already was there. The castle was gone, the meadow was gone, Alyoya was gone, and the Sun Jewel (that we need to get rain) was gone. I waited some minutes, and then I saw Kantele. She ran to me (or, ran... she's a Peophin. Peophin's can't really run with their fish-tails, can they?).

    K: Where have you been?
    C: Here.
    K: What happened?
    C: Er... nothing special.

    A Squeaky Tale

    We all know *coughs* Donald Duck. No, not the DUCK, the Mallard. But do you know how I got him??? It was the day after a RAINY day. You know, the day when everything is boring, because of the rain?

    C: Ah. I love the day after a rainy day.
    U: Um, yah, if it's not raining that day too...
    C: Woah, what a brain you've got!
    U: Shut up -.-'
    C: So. Why not go out?
    U: Can't. I've promised Emily to train with her.
    C: How fun.
    U: Shut up, Char. She's your friend too -_-
    C: Well, then I go out on my own.
    U: Fine, bye.

    I went out. I could not believe that Unica wanted to waste her time with training. I went down the street, watching some young pets with their silly, mega-cute petpets, frolicking in the gardens and tumbling in the water. Then I decided to get one of those silly, frolicking petpets.

    C: A friend, a playing friend, that doesn't need to be given birthday-presents would be cool...

    After looking inside one of those Petpet-shops, to find out something about the petpets and the prices... oh dear. I needed some more neopoints... some thousand neopoints, to be exact.

    C: I'm sure, I'll never get a petpet...

    I knew that most of my friends owned a petpet. Alyoya owned an Angelpuss, Rina owned her own Polarchuck, Lala owned a slug... um, Slorg. And so on. I wanted a petpet so badly.

    C: What the.. what kind of duck is that?

    I saw a green duck lying alone in the mud. He squeaked and looked pretty weak... and fairly furious.

    C: Why are you alone?

    I decided to bow down to look closer at him. No kind of collar or something. He was just a duck.

    C: ...I think you need help...
    Duck: -.-' QUACK!
    C: Okay, okay, I shall not hurt you. I'll just pick you up and carry you home.

    QUACK!

    The duck acted like I'd told him that I'd decided to shoot him or something. I picked him up... and carried him home, not without trouble.

    Inside the house, Unica was home again.

    C: You're back already?...
    U: Yeah. Emily'd got NeoPox or something... what's that???
    C: An injured duck, I think.

    Christin came out to us, and after a quick look at the duck, she told us that he was a petpet, a Mallard.

    C: *happy* Wow, a petpet!
    Christin: Yeah, an INJURED petpet.
    Mallard: QUACK!
    U: Woah. He is mad!
    C: He's INJURED, not MAD!
    U: Well...
    Christin: Be quiet, you two. If nobody wants him back, I bet he's yours, Char...
    C: Woohoo!
    Christin: ...but still he is injured... we better get him healthy again...
    Mallard: QUACK! Quack, squeak, squeak *furious* QUACK!
    U: He is just like Donald Duck.. in that comic, you know. What a nice duck! He is MAD! I told you.
    C: He IS Donald Duck. Aren't you, Donald?
    Christin and Unica: DONALD?
    Mallard: Quack!

    So I kept Donald. Nobody wanted him, except from me. Unica is still kidding with me about his name. But I don't care.
