FAQ

Where can I get Free Paint Brushes?
There are a couple of places you can get Free Paint Brushes, but you should be patient in doing so. You can get free Paint Brushes from Fruit Machine, Wheels, Random Events and you can even receive certain ones from Key quest. Good Luck ^^

What is Double Painting
Hmm, you see this alot these days. Double Painting is where you paint it once for the clothes, and re-paint it for the colour. For example I would paint My Krawk Royal, take the clothes of then Paint it Darigan, and put the clothes back on. There you have a Royal Darigan Krawk.

Where can I get PB's?
You can get Paint Brushes from; The Hidden Tower, Random Events, Fruit Machine, World Challenges, Wheel of Monotony, Contests, Test you strength, Wishing Well, Tarla, Key Quest and Alien Aisha Vending Machine. If your account is under 4months you can get them from, trading post, and Auctions you can buy cheaper ones in shops. If your account is over 4months you can get them from Trades, Auctions, users shops, and Hidden Tower.

If I paint my UC pet will it convert?
Yesh, your Unconverted pet will convert. Consider yourself lucky in a way to have an UC pet as they can go for practically any pet.

Is there any other way my pet can change colour?
There sure is! You can be zapped by Boochi, which will turn your pet into an adorable baby pet. You could be lucky enough to get a Fountain Faerie Quest and Complete it, you can colour your pet any colour there is.

Can I use a PB twice?
Paint Brushes are one time use only items.

Brushes that Don't Paint

Glass & Stone Paint Brushes
These paint brushes used to paint pets a long time ago. Neopets staff then removed the colours from the site and replaced them with Tyrannian and Island. You CAN NOT use a Stone Paint Brush to get an Island colour Neopet nor Glass Paint Brush for Tyrannian.
So overall, Glass & Stone are for collectors nowadays.

Lutari Paint Brush
Lutari Paint Brushes have been around for a very long time, but have never been terrible useful, except as a collector's item. This particular paint brush was created as a promotional item for Lutari Island. There are designs for Lutari designs for some pets. But, as this item isn't active they won't change the colour of your pet. And no, it won't turn your pet into a Lutari. Like Stone/Glass paint brushes, this brush is mainly for the collectors, and is known to be quite expensive.
Note: TNT are still trying to find use for this item.

Starters

These are pointless. Four Basic colours, that are only obtainable from starter kits. You only receive two. They can't be sold, traded, auctioned, or given away, so there is absolutely no point in creating multiple accounts for them.

Differences

Ok so there's a Paint Brush and then there's a Petpet Paint Brush. It is pretty self explanatory for some. But a Paint Brush can only be used on Neopets whereas Petpet Paint Brushes can only be used on Petpets which are pets for your Neopets.

TNT have created items called Paint Brush Plushies. THEY WILL NOT PAINT YOUR PET (EG.) BABY PLUSHIE There have been scams known to have these items involved. When on trading post/Shop Wiz/Auctions read the Item Name carefully! As you wouldn't want to place 600k on a Baby Paint Brush PLUSHIE which is only worth 60k

Sparkly
Sparkly Blue and Sparkly Green Paints are only School Supplies! They cannot and will not ever paint your pets or Petpet. So don't believe anyone when they will turn your pet into a Sparkly Green Kacheek or what ever else, because it won't happen!
