Me in Real Life

Well, my name is Jessica, and I am a 21 year old website designer/event coordinator. I work for a company that hosts 20 pet expo's all over the country. I travel a lot, and work even more. My job is very demanding, but I love it nonetheless. You would think that with a job that required you to travel that it would be neat to see the different places. This isn't really the case, unforunately. We're typically so busy working while we're out of town that sight-seeing isn't really a possibility.

When I'm not working or travelling I am either on Neo, at the gym, playing video games, or just hanging out with my pets. I have a dog and three snakes. I also enjoy shopping (of course!) and spending time with my wonderful boyfriend.

I would describe my personality as dorky, but mature, funny, but recluse. I am typically very outgoing around people I know, but more reserved around people I'm not as comfortable with. I would say the best way to describe me is socially awkward.

Me on Neo

I started my Neopets journey when I was just 11 years old. I was browsing the web unsupervised, probably getting a virus on my mom's computer when I saw a pop-up. I don't remember what it said, but there was a Blue Elephante on the ad. Were I a little older and wiser I probably would not have clicked the ad, but being 11 and seeing some blue elephant cartoon, I naturally though "Wow! This must be a great idea!" And from that day forward there was no going back--I was hooked.

I went through a number of accounts, my first account I lost the secret word to, my second account I abandoned to start over with a better account name, my third account I was somehow frozen (still not sure as to how exactly that happened, but what's done is done, right?). And now I have jebbica... and I must say I feel I have accomplished a lot on this account. This was the first account I ever reached 200 avatars on(now approaching 300)... this was the first account I achieved 1,000,000 NPs on... and this was the first account I had that I painted a pet myself, with a paint brush (not the lab!). Those may seem like mediocre accomplishments to you, and now in hindsight they don't seem all that thrilling to me, but they were the proudest days of my neo-life.

I would classify myself as an avatar collector on Neopets. Of course, once you reach a certain amount of avatars it doesn't seem quite as entertaining to devote yourself to trying to get those game avatars you know you will never get, or making countless "Lend me MSPP!" boards that lead to nothing but hours wasted. I now just try to stay interested by keeping active in my guild, customising my pets, and dabbling in reselling. Honestly I find most of my time on Neo is spent lurking the boards... how productive!

Avatars I Need

This is the list of avatars I need to complete my collection. Unfortunately there are a list of avatars that are now retired which I missed and will never be able to get. But let's be frank, probably 90% of the avatars on this list here I will never be able to get (I just can't justify spending millions upon millions of NPs for one stamp album avatar... no way Jose), but alas, I can dream!
