In 2015, Miles created a virus intended to render the internet as we know it useless. The most proficient antivirus software at the time, Galax-E, couldn't do very much about it, but did ultimately prevent the virus from entirely deconstructing humanity's information hub. Zach Higgins is the 11 year old son of one of Galax-E's founders and CEOs, and through his early preteenhood had to watch his parent's life be infinitely complicated by SMILEY_05. So he decides, as a very naive 11 year old, it will be his mission to find the creator of SMILEY_05. He has mild asperger's and has very few social skills, so has no qualms about completely throwing himself into the chase, even though with his limited hacking knowledge, he really can't chase much. But the connection? Every time he signs up for a forum or anything, he makes his username Zero_the_Mole_2004 because he's of the impression he's very witty. Zero is a pun on zero days, (a hacking term meaning the holes in a program/system) he describes himself as a mole, because of course he can dig through anything to get to the truth, and 2004 because that's the year he was born.
