This will be the third year that Paddy (dragonsflame_uk) has played for the Altador Cup. In the 2007 AC, she played for Mystery Island, and in 2008 she was supporting and playing for Altador. This year she is supporting....

The Prize shop can be found here. For the Altador Cup IV (2009), the prize shop will open on Tuesday 7th July. Before then, it will display the points you have left over from, last year's Altador Cup (although those points are no longer able to be spent).

There's a super game guide (not made by me, this is one I've come across) here, which includes examples of how to score with each different kind of Yooyuball *smiles* Scores of 15-0 will not count, so make sure you only score a maximum of 14 goals in each game!

Slushie Slinger
Have you got what it takes to serve the best Slushies in the Altador Cup? Serving the correct flavour will earn you more points. There is a minimum score to count towards an increase in rank, and that is 300. Scores under 300 will still go through, but will not help you to move up a rank.
Make Some Noise
Help the Techo Fanatic to cheer on Terror Mountain as you hit two keyboard keys as fast as you possibly can! Restart the game if the two keys are not easy for you to use (especially useful for anyone with an ergonomicly shaped keyboard!). There is a minimum score to count towards an increase in rank, and that is 3,000. Scores under 3,000 will still go through, but will not help you to move up a rank.
Shootout Showdown
New Neocash challenge for the Fourth Altador Cup! But you can play the game without joining the NC challenge.
See how many goals you can score against a Chia goalkeeper, within the time limit. The game will automatically stop after you score 5 goals, or the time limit is up (whichever happens first).
For the NC challenge, you need to score 5 goals to complete the challenge each day, and you will need to buy the game tickets from the Mall (yes, that is bought with NeoCash which costs real money).
Game Tickets will be sold in the NC Mall in packs of 1, 5, 10 and 34. To play each day's game (30 regular games and all 4 finals), you will need a total of 34 game tickets (which is the maximum you can use). They can be sent to other people using the Basic Gift Boxes that you get when you redeem a NeoCash card.

The shields & ranks
Last year's YYB requirements for each level are listed below, and would appear to be the same for 2009.
It is possible to increase your rank by playing any of the four AC games this year. The table of shields shows the Yooyuball wins required, but I've added a little table below to show how many scores you need to submit for the other games as well :)
One Yooyuball win is the same as:
Two Yooyuball draws
Two Slushie Slinger games (minimum score of 300)
Twelve Shootout Showdown games thanks Rory
Twelve Make Some Noise games (minimum score send of 3000)
So, to get from beginner to rank one, you would need:
50 Yooyuball wins
100 Yooyuball draws
594 Shootout Showdown thanks Dawn
100 Slushie Slinger (scores over 300) thanks Trix

The Team
For Yooyuball, I use the formation 1+3, which means there are three defenders nearest the goal, and one player up front. The playing positions below use that formation.
